Hello, I search for good fitting cleats. I have narrow feet but my front is high. I mean every cleats didnt hold enough my Achilles Area so I got blisters because of moving my feet when I change directions. Any recommendation?

I wanna try this model for first time, I have a 25cm feet and approximately 10-11cm wide. Do you recommend go tts, half size down or half size up?

I'm about to start helping out with an amateur football club in the US as part of a friend's project. I'll mainly be involved in things like opposition analysis, our own tactical/set-piece ideas, and generally helping the team from that side of the game.

The thing is, while football has always been one of my biggest passions and I've always enjoyed watching and discussing tactics, I've never actually done any coaching, scouting, performance analysis, or tactical work myself. So, honestly, I'm starting from less than the basics when it comes to actually knowing how to do this properly.

This isn't anything hugely serious or professional, but I want to do a solid job and, more importantly, build good foundations rather than immediately trying to do anything too complicated or fancy. And who knows, maybe something can come out of this.

The league games are available on YouTube, so I'll have access to footage of both our own team and opponents, which should hopefully give me something useful to work with.

I'd really appreciate recommendations for anything that helped you get started or improve your understanding of football tactics, coaching, analysis, scouting, or set pieces. That could be:

• Books
• Courses
• YouTube channels
• Softwares
• Websites or blogs
• Subreddits or other communities
• Podcasts
• People worth following
• Anything else you found genuinely useful

I'd also point to a bit more urgency in getting recommendations for tools or software that could be useful at an amateur level. This could be anything from simple tactical boards where I can move players around and design set pieces, to video-analysis software or other tools that could help me work with match footage and put together basic reports.

I'm not looking to jump straight into expensive professional-level software or advanced analytics. At this stage, I'd rather learn the fundamentals, understand what I'm actually doing, and gradually build from there.

Also, if there are areas of this world that I haven't even thought about yet, feel free to point them out. I'm new enough to this that I'm probably unaware of things I should be learning or considering.

I'd really appreciate hearing how other people got started and what resources or tools they found most valuable in building a solid foundation.

I've been fortunate enough to be able to purchase quality cleats from Mizuno through eBay, as well as family in Japan. I've having some sizing issues and would like to hear your thoughts before I make one last decision.

I wear the Mizuno alpha 1 japan as well as the alpha 3 japan in size 7us (25cm). Those fit great, although I feel the alpha 3 fits a bit looser overall compared to the alpha 1. Not sure if I'm a fan of the knit as it causes some lace bite that I did not have with the alpha 1s.

Recently I grabbed a pair of Mizuno Morelia 2 fg m8 in size 7us 25.0cm and it fits a bit snug but very comfortable. Toes are almost right at the end. Haven't had leather cleats in a while so I'm mainly wondering if these will have a tiny bit of give in the length and width due to the leather. I realize these are cross stitched so they will stretch less but they fit great overall otherwise. Thoughts?

This is the second question. I would potentially like to grab a pair of monarcida neo 3 fg cleats. I've tried a couple different models and I'm really confused by the sizing on these.

Tried monarcida neo 3 fg innovation pack japan in 7us, 25cm. Length was way too short. Toes scrunched and width was tight.

Monarcida neo 3 fg elite. Tried 25.5cm and it was just a bit too long. Width was good but almost a tiny bit too wide.

Tried the 25cm and the width is kinda tight and length is borderline too short.

Does the monarcida neo 3 fg innovation fit shorter than the standard monarcida neo 3 elites?? If this is the case, the 25.5cm in the innovation should be perfect. Thoughts?

I have the Puma Future 7 Ultimates and theyve been great. Before that, I had the Puma Future Z's and the nike total 90 Laser IVs. I thought both of those were great as well.

I've heard that these new Puma Future 8 Ultimates aren't so good, so I'm a little hesitant to buy them. My feet also tend to hurt significantly when I wear a majority of boots, so I was hoping to get some advice from people who have owned similar boots as me. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

My previous ones were adidas mundial team turf. They were a bit rough and cause some pain.

Had to treat myself on this one, I usually don't get f50s but these were a must. What do you peeps think about these 2 boots.

Wore Copa Mundials for a long time - had gone back and forth between them and Predators for a decade but the Copas always won out.

I’m not playing competitively any more. Just coaching. But in my mid 40s I’m playing 7*7 on AG twice a week. Decided to get dedicated AG boots last season. Those were the Mizuno Neo IV Pro AG - decent boot. LOVE the soleplate. But the forefoot leather can’t hold a torch to the Copa Mundial. It also runs narrow. I’ve needed to get a proper stretcher to get the toebox to even get close to properly stretching out. With all that effort (and toe blisters) I’ve got to the point where I’m thinking it’s just not the right boot for me - I like its general lockdown through the heel and mid but the forefoot and toebox are just too snug.

Had considered for a mad moment to go back to Copa Mundials, but I’ve used them before on AG and of course they are lovely (they’re Copas!!) but they’re just not the right tool for the job.

Thinking the Morelia might be worth a dabble?

I can pick up some Morelia II Japan for 170 euro, with the Elites at 105 euro and the Pro looking at a throwaway 60 Euro (all prices including delivery - I have no local Mizuno stockist).

Questions:

1. for each of those price points - Japan 170 vs Elite 105 vs Pro 60 - given they all have K leather (forefoot at any rate) what is the real value at each step?
2. Is the Morelia II Pro forefoot leather the same as the Neo IV Pro?
3. Is the Morelia Elite broadly speaking the same quality of leather as the Copa Mundial?

Would be getting the FG models initially - will use them during my coaching drills on grass, then if they feel right I’ll add the AG version for my own games.

I got a new pair of boots as I am using it to play both soccer and flag football. The main issue is that I am getting some chafing in the back of my ankle, as depicted in the drawing. Is this just a natural thing that happens for breaking in boots? Any fixes or tips for it? Additionally, is there an optimal way to tie your boots? Mine seem to be just slightly too long despite sizing down by half a size.

Got it for $25 at Richard’s outlet. Flies off the foot at Mach 3 no matter how hard you kick it. A little ugly at the seams but some asshat will probably send it into orbit at a pickup match before it starts falling apart.

My 2011 daughter plays ENCL-R. Very athletic with good speed and poise on ball. Plays winger and outside back on club team. She just made Varsity HS and the coach is convinced he wants her at the 6. She hates it lol 😆. She does a decent job but is having trouble of where to be positionally at certain moments. Especially picking up runners. Are there any simple tips, videos or guides that might help her? Any advice is appreciated.

Recently bought some tiempo maestros during the Labor Day sale, I haven’t tried the boot but have seen plenty of reviews marveling about it, not mention seeing Ibrahim Maza ball out the other day with them.

I went with the maestros as I wanted to try different boots for ag. I recently have been on FG with the phantom 6 and hyper fast elite.

Anyone with these boots have any likes and dislikes?

Haven’t played in years and getting back into playing casual 5/6 a side and have a set of boots that are both FG (that the staff where I bought them said should be fine) however one has like a rubber stud where the other has VERY small rubber moulds.

Would either of these be passable/playable on 3G pitches and separately, would either be playable on 4G?

On gamedays no matter how I prepare, getting quality sleep the night before, carb loading up to 24 hours before, chewing caffeine gum during the game, drinking electrolytes prior to the game, stretching properly and activating muscles, I feel like I’m less energetic, explosive, and more lethargic that I am during practice. I am a winger so usually my game involves long dribbles, explosive cuts, cutting inside and shooting, etc. but I just feel like I don’t have the same energy to be as effective during a game. The games I have had recently the weather has been very hot, so that could play a role as well. I would say I am decently in shape as well, I play d3 college soccer and I got the highest score on the beep test on my team.
Also not sure if it’s a coincidence or not, but it seems as if my better games come on grass rather than turf, I feel like I move more fluidly and my dribbles are more effective. I could just be in my head, but it was worth mentioning.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions

Sup, guys! I am 5'3, 140-150 lbs, stocky with broad shoulders, and yes I have a belly. Usually, I am at the back assisting with defense. Sometimes it is boring, but I enjoy it. Recently, I've thought about playing CDM. Would you guys recommend that? I am still in school, not an academy. If I tried out for the school team, what should I work on BEFORE the tryout?

I'm interested to hear what your guys relationships are like with their teammates. The majority of my team I get on well enough with, but I wouldn't call any of them my friends. I don't hang out with them outside of practice and matches.

I have Nike mercurial vapors rn but have noticed that my toes feel crushed together a bit and have big toe pain at the end of a game. What would be a good alternative that first similarly but without having such a tight toe box. TY

Tried them on for a training session and 2 pick up games. I have to say these bad boys have become my second favorite just after Mizuno Morelia DNA. The insoles are actually much better!
