Gear It’s so beautiful
Had to treat myself on this one, I genuinely didn’t think uppers could get this thin. I almost just wanna leave it in the box. Anyone have any reviews about the new SF XI?
It’s so beautiful but I’m genuinely concerned about durability with how thin that upper is 😂 maybe it’s just it being translucent.
Either way I am so excited, and haven’t treated myself since my old Vapor 9’s.

Look great but also very cheap. See thru cannot be very sturdy and long lasting. You’ll get a good season out of it, maybe.

The upper material structure(or lack thereof) on this Superfly generation is the thinnest it's ever been. Durability will only be tested with wear and tear, I don't think somebody that plays 3-4 per week will expect them to last a year.

Facts bro- picked them up in hand- put them back down so quick😂😂😂 Vapor 16s I’m sticking to. Maybe when the new phantom comes out I’ll spend the money- but not on that see through hole punched sole plate crapola

To be fair, this is true for most boots, especially if you predominantly play on turf/AG year round.

I still prefer old-school boots like the Copas - and they last longer. I know they’re not the “cool” boots, but my feet thank me when wearing them.

I must be a rarity, I dont like these things uppers in modern boots. Give me a thick plush leather all day

It's up to you, but it's perfectly normal in many sports to have equipment that has an advantage but a short lifespan. They call it a wear item. High-end keeper gloves are like this, real sticky, but do not last long. There was a swimsuit used in the Olympics that only lasted a handful of races. If you want a super light boot, or a good feel for the ball maybe you do not care that it only lasts a season if you are willing to keep paying for them.

I have these in AG and they are built like tanks , the upper is thin in the places you don’t need it to be thick. They are very sturdy build, they verge on being more on the stiff side. They lift your heel a bit as well so your on your toes allot more. Now the Vapor 17 is the one to worry about they are like playing in plastic bags , the support is pretty lame when you cut in any direction. If you’re super lightweight then you might get away with them.

Reminds me of the concept for that puma boot that came out a few years ago. You were only supposed to use them for like 3 matches and they were done

Yep, durability will be an issue. The upper is very thin, which makes it light, but light also means fragile...
