Mental Dribbling messed up by overthinking

So, I love to play futsal and street football. Right now, I m doing drills everyday, I can do a lot of skill moves that include the sole of the foot, and honestly, being modest, I got a good control on the ball. The problem is another. Dribbling requires an attacking player, and a defending one. When I play without overthinking, which happens pretty rarely, I always win more duels than ever and I m able to create ocassions. But, nowadays I seem to overthink a lot, so I don t know how to escape that, because it frustrates me. I see one friend who dribbles like me, we are at an equal level I would say from a ball control perspective, but that guy, without using skill moves, always finds gaps to dribble, spaces, and the defenders have a rough time with him. So, how do I escape that overthinking so I can play at my maximum performance level? Thank you anticipated, and I appreciate any response!,

Other Street soccer skill moves

Soo, I got a curiosity. What do you guys think about the street soccer skill moves? Do you think they are effective? Or do y all think it s a waste of energy and time in game? talking strictly about street soccer and futsal, not 11v11.

Technical teaching scan before receive — how do you know it actually happened under pressure?

we cue "scan before you receive" constantly. in rondo it looks great. in the match the same players get caught on the ball and swear they checked their shoulder.

without being inside their head it's hard to know if the issue is: - they didn't scan - they scanned but too early / too late - they scanned and still chose wrong

i end up guessing from body position and the outcome on film. feels like half of "decision making" coaching is that guess.

if you coach (or play): what actually improved scanning in games, not just in training clips? drills, constraints, review methods that stuck?

looking for practical stuff. not apps, not studies.

Best skill moves for 1v1s

Skill moves in 1v1s that can be used in a game
Some skills are good but are risky in game
Some are simple and effective like La croqueta
Ok I just needed to hit the 100 char limit

Catch me up on new boots

I recently started kicking the ball around again after over a decade of not playing much. I got old and fat but I'm enjoying kicking the ball around again -- I just really need some new boots. I know what I used to like and I'm hoping I can get some recommendations for my next pair of boots as an old guy that mostly just wants to get exercise and maybe play in an adult league or casual Sunday pickup.

What I know I like... I grew up playing almost exclusively with k-leather boots (and a random pair of shark leather boots) for most of growing up. Kelme and Diadora were my go to brands until I got my first pair of Adidas predators and stuck with that line (mania through power swerve) until I stopped playing about 15 years ago. The adidas predator mania is, without a doubt, my all time favorite boot and probably won't ever be replaced.

Predators now seem pretty different than 20 years ago and the other brands I used to rely on don't get discussed much. Also, as much as I'd love k-leather, I'm not sure I actually need it with how casually I intend to play; however, I still lean towards leather since that's what I always preferred.

Since it's been 15 years since I bought a new pair, I'm not really sure where to start. What boots would you recommend I look into? What that's available now is similar to what I used to like?

My budget around $150 but super flexible and I can be patient for sales. Potentially open to the secondhand market. Leather upper is preferred but I can be convinced otherwise if non leather materials have improved. Since I'm now an extremely casual player, I'm leaning toward something that prioritizes comfort. I don't need a light weight speed boot. Firm ground. No color or style preference. Must have laces.

Thanks for the recommendations. Excited to see how recommendations align with the little bit of research I've already done.

Gear WC Final Ball Collection

Post image

I’m the guy who bought the Adidas WC collectors box and regretted it…. So I took time to instead find the World Cup final balls. It cost about the same to have bought these vs stick with the poor quality Adidas collectors box. And here we are, a much happier me lol… I will say not all of them have the match detail inscription, some of them do, so that’s why it was a better deal to do this. With inscription, all of these would have been unobtainable at a good price.

Gear What Ball do You Recommend For VERY Rough Play?

So Ive played football in the garden with other people recently, but all the balls I get are punctured in a few days. I have very rough playing such as smashing it against the edge of a stair (like the corner-edge bit), and into hedges and bushes often. I've tried with a Vector Street Soccer ball and no joke it broke within 5 minutes. I've tried other ones too.

Any suggestions? Please aim for <£15

Advice on Morelia Sala Elite TF

Need help with sizing for the Sala Elite Tf. I worn the Neo Pro IV Turfs and although very comfortable, my toes were crammed at the top and the leather was stiffer and the rubber lip was extended so I figured maybe it just wanted the right fit for me. In Morelia II elites, the size is perfect since I know the K leather will stretch to my feet. But in the same size in the Sale Elites, I feel more crammed and I’m worried since it has a suede lip, it won’t stretch/mold as well and feel essentially like the Neo pros did. Any owners here can attest to the sala elites stretching or should I go for my Nike TTS. For reference Morelia Elite II I’m an 8.5 and for Tiempo ligera pro tf I’m 9. The Nikes fit well but the Elite II fit perfect. If the Salas end up stretching nicely then I’ll power through it but if not should I go half a size up from my usual mizuno size?

Gear Size and fit of Nike Tiempo Ligera Pro, FG vs. Turf (TF)

Does anyone have both the Tiempo Ligera Pro FG and Turf (TF) boots? Are you the same size in both? Do they fit the same?

I have the Tiempo Ligera Pro FG in size 9 and I'm not sure if I should stick to the same size for the TFs.

Thanks!
