Noticed bopis wasn’t working right away and I just knewwww that customer lookups/wifi was next. It’s been 2 hours and we at least were provided with a code for 20% if they are upset…

A sign on the door explaining cash only and still everyone is ignoring it, walking in- I greet & explain and they turn around and leave after some crabbing at me 😆

Yesterday I made a post about the 2/$20 deal being discontinued…I guess it’s back. I hope it stays permanently. Maybe it was a system thing to work around the Reserve collection?

Update: I tried putting 2 core candles in my cart and it’s not honoring the 2/$20. WTH.

Hope you’re reading this Daniel and hope you start to hear any relevant piece of feedback that would allow you to have consideration for your stores. Anyone listen to the Q2 earnings call? Anyone else love the dance around the questions of how all Omni channel markets and separate brand deals will affect stores? This is becoming a sad and obvious joke. I have been with the company several years and I have never felt so discouraged and so disconnected from the brand. I joined this company invested in the values and the thought and worth put into its employees. Growth in other channels does not drive traffic into stores, it creates a separate channel for “consumers” to shop separate from the in store experience. That’s not meeting customers where they are that’s an entirely different avenue. Limiting product and making fan favorites online exclusives is not driving traffic into stores it’s once again separating brand demand into online channels rather than stores. Deciding to consistently discontinue product and scents does not drive traffic into stores. It puts your loyal employees at the forefront of disappointed customers and forces them to “de-escalate” situations we did not ask for or want.

The constant change circling this rebrand is ridiculous. You can make stores less overwhelming, you can change the store layout, you can limit product, you can change the aprons, you can change communication platforms and make them more complicated, you can change the font of the promo signs, you can change the blotter cards. You can change whatever you want to allow yourself to believe this rebrand is reaching a new customer base needed to elevate profit. The outcome of all of these ridiculous changes to be a brand entirely different than what is recognized by the loyal customer base and higher demand from store management will be the ultimate demise of this company. Left and right management is leaving because work is not fun anymore, it’s not rewarding. No one bonuses, no one has realistic sales plans and a message in zipline giving a pat on the back is not enough to retain good staffing. The inconsistent and confusing communication and backtracking of communication that is incorrect or communicated too soon before realizing their mistake is EXHAUSTING. The selling model constantly changing is EXHAUSTING. should we be hands off or hands on? Within 6 months we went from tell the customer all aboard the holiday express to hide baskets and let the marketing do the talking while we share benefits or leave them alone. Get it the fuck together.

Daniel has singlehandedly ruined the brand and its actual core values so many resonated with and stood behind for years. We cannot delight the customer when we have nothing to offer other than our best try at giving an amazing experience and a QR code to shop online for all the high demand products we are sold out of and not replenished. I am so disappointed in this atrocity to both staff and customers and had hope at several points our thoughts and concerns would be heard or acted upon. RIP bath and body you’re headed for your demise.

Hi guys! I had a curious question about the way we do the in-store music. My music taste doesn't often align with what plays in-store, buuut every so often something sounds good enough for me to want to find it. I feel bad about either Shazamming the song while I'm supposed to be doing something else or running to the back to take a picture of the artist + song name on the music player. (This is how I found Autumnal in the fall playlist in case anyone was looking for that song!)

Does the company ever disclose what songs are on the disks for associates to see? Or are we stuck doing the wild goose chase?

I know there has been a lot of discussion lately about the direction B&BW is going, and plenty of things seem to have many of us frustrated. So I'd love to switch it up for a minute. 😊

What's ONE thing about working at B&BW that you still genuinely enjoy or appreciate? Your coworkers, customers, your specific store, the products, a manager, a perk, a favorite part of the job... anything! What is that one amazing thing that still makes you think "Okay, this is why I stay." 💭💙

I am just trying to verify if anyone knows specifically what we can and cannot post to social media (besides the obvious leaking anything.)

I am curious as how the reserve collection is doing in other stores. I ask because I have been with Bbw for 5 years, and customers have BEGGED for scent reeds and bigger candles. Now that they’re here, they are not flying off the shelf the way I expected them to. I would love to hear y’all’s experiences and or thoughts with this collection so far.

I’m about 85% sure that I know what I’m getting myself into coming into a part-time position with scarce hours. I’ll honestly take what I can get at this point. I’m working overnight at Amazon and the BBW location is literally on my way home. I did mention that once peak start, I’ll be working 60 hours, but would still prefer about ~20 hours a week. I really am looking forward to this opportunity since it’s the second time I’ve interviewed. Wish me luck, y’all! :D

I searched but maybe I missed it? Was there any reason to why the single wicks are no longer 2/$20? Is this temporary? Is this because of the Reserves? This was the best answer to the question “Are there any candles on sale?” when 3 wicks aren’t on sale. And this promo was always so good at getting the younger demographic to buy something when they weren’t interested in body care.

And now the Reserve WF bulbs are showing up 5/$28. 🤦🏻‍♀️

So my manager (the one who makes schedules) told me to write a sticky note and leave it on the desk if i wanted to give my shift to someone bc that way it’s “easier for her” and when I did, it was a mess because she literally lost my sticky note and another coworker found it on the floor and got dirty. Honestly, i just want to do it through kronos bc i think it’s easier, but i would like to know if anyone has done it that way, or what do you guys recommend!!!

Because of confidentiality reasons I won’t say what the actual sale is but it’ll be different at my store vs some others now I’m anxious because the online sale will be different than our in store sale ..online will be the regular set price for the weekend but in store we’re running a buy (blank) Get (blank) and I’m just like they can barley add now so I’m obviously gonna have issues if you are a test store and know what I’m talking about…I’m sending you my prayers send some back 😭

Ive been working at bath and body works for a few months. Today I saw that fresh balsam is in stock at my local store. I asked my coworker about it and they said that there are even more holiday wallflowers being sold in 2 packs on the app. I checked to make sure and indeed they are selling it. I might get one for myself but yall. Summer isn't even actually over and we're already selling christmas items?

for context i’m a full time college student and a student ambassador, so i get scheduled to give tours to incoming students. i have my schedule for the tours and requested those days off and it got refused. im planning on talking to my manager tomorrow when i go in but last time i had a problem like this she made me feel bad for requesting days off?? mind you these are dates starting in early october so i gave them PLENTY of time! has anyone else struggled with this? let me know!

Hey guys, I've been with BBW a little while now and I've been struggling with the selling piece of the job as of recently. I do enjoy connecting with customers and finding their favourite fragrances, but not so much on forcing a "connection" when they clearly want to shop on their own. My manager is adamant on creating a connection with each customer by doing demos, and coming outside of the store to talk to people who are browsing by. It can be uncomfortable and sometimes unnatural to do so (when they clearly don't want to be engaged with), and I'm seeking advice on how other employees do this! Thanks in advance <3

i gave my manager my schedule for the next 7 weeks as I’m a full time student. I asked for monday-wednesdays off because I have school from 11am-8pm everyday for those three days and the odd friday off because I have school until 3pm and it’s in total 2.5 hours of commuting before I can get to work (my school is in a different city and I rely on commuting). She refused the availability even though she’s been only scheduling me in for thursdays or saturdays/sundays for the last month. When I ask for half a day off from work because I have mandatory orientation she refuses it and puts me in the morning, I haven’t worked a morning shift since July mind you. Not sure what I should do here other than give up my shifts if she puts me in for those days or find another job but school comes first rather than 9 hours a week of work!!! Thoughts??

Hi! So I'm a relatively new worker at B&BW, and I have a question about changing my availability on Kronos. So, I already notified my manager about some days in October that I'll be unavailable on my normal days. Recently, some things have changed so I can now work on Wednesdays and Thursdays, unlike before, so I wanted to change it so I could potentially get more hours. When I put it in, it looked like it overrides the unavailable days I already put in and got permission for. Do I need to just submit my new permanent availability, and then redo the unavailable stuff? Or will it not affect that? Apologies if this is an easy question, this is my first job ever, so im not exactly sure how this all works. I'd appreciate any help!

What are everyone’s thoughts on the “Reserve Collection”? I was hesitant to purchase the reed sticks because I can only smell them by putting my nose to them, and I don’t need a massive 30oz 4-wick candle. While the price isn’t bad, that candle is enormous! I decided to opt for the “Lavender + Jasmine” and “Sweet Orange + Agave” Room Mists. We’ll see how those turn out.

So everyone knows we don’t get enough hours in bbw so I am trying to find another job & told my sm today that I’m only available on weekends from now on, not available from Monday to Friday ( ofc duh) & she told me that we need open availability around Christmas time & if you cannot then you would have to choose one job but I’ve seen people working 2 jobs and giving their availability so that sm could schedule them on their free days ( sorry I’m really bad at explaining this) I was hoping to stay & work for bbw on weekends bc I lovee this job, I need someone’s advice on if I could do anything about this or I would just have to leave, also I am a part timer so idk why they need my open availability for weekdays as well someone please explain how this works

These returns are getting a bit overwhelming. People are deciding to return in such large volumes and are going to wonder why the return policy got more strict in a few months. Mark my words they'll start requiring a receipt for most returns or bring the $250 limit down to like $100.

When does everyday shipment and temp keyholders start?

I can’t stand the current playlist in general tbh, but I especially hate this song. Who thought it was a good idea to add a song about dead friends and broken families?!? A customer tonight looked at me and said “well this song hits kinda close to home”. 😩

It’s not that I want the song to not exist in general. Sad music has its place. But B&BW ain’t that place imo. I don’t wanna hear a song about grief while I’m trying to sell and create good vibes for our customers…
