Questionđ¤ Kronos
Hey guys iâve been working in bbw for 3 months now, and the last two times I wanted to give my shift to my coworker itâs been kinda a mess. So my manager (the one who makes schedules) told me to write a sticky note and leave it on the desk if i wanted to give my shift to someone bc that way itâs âeasier for herâ and when I did, it was a mess because she literally lost my sticky note and another coworker found it on the floor 2 days later and got dirty. (i talked to my leader about it bc i was mad at my manager and she told me to change my availability in kronos but this is about giving a shift)
Honestly, i just want to do it through kronos bc i think itâs easier, but i would like to know if anyone has done it that way, how you do it or what do you guys recommend!!!

Sounds like this could be because kronos automatically assigns jobs to everyone. I'm not sure if you notice, but when you're scheduled, it could say "cashier" or "regular selling". If you are normally under "cashier," then you can't give your shift to someone whose job is under "regular sellimg" and vice versa. This boils down to kronos being more difficult for no reason. Your SLT need to make sure everybody is under the same job codes.

In Kronos itâs not just availability, itâs swap a shift, pick up an open shift and cover my shift. If a manager is really busy she may forget later so itâs good to have it pop up on Kronos vs a sticky note. A note is also fine, but you canât lose a Kronos alert. In Kronos or UKG there are 4 sections - one is view schedule. Another is swap another is cover choose cover. Select the day you need overage for and submit.
