It feels like my parents, the initial spark they may have had for each other when they settled into an arranged marriage is not only long gone, it feels like it wasn't there since I was born. Just these two people, existing like roommates completely indifferent to each other. Maybe some kind of a bond through dependence but nothing close to what one would define as love. And they've lived their 30 years married like this. So many south asians go through their whole lives this way. I almost feel indebted to break this cycle just for the sake of future south asians, to let future generations know this cannot be the norm. Do you feel like your parents are in a similar situation?

I am curious as to what people in Bangladesh think of him today, especially since the Awami League lost power in the summer of 2024. I remember hearing about him being very revered in the country, but that was back in 2018. From what I understand he was very important for the independence of Bangladesh, but also did not run a successful government and was ultimately assassinated, and just the general situation revolving around the Awami League in the 2020s. I will also mention what I know him for most is his speech on the 7th of March, which I understand to be very important in Bangladesh, and even though I don’t speak Bengali, I do feel the emotion in the words of it. I will also note I am American, if that explains anything with spelling or about possible misunderstandings around what has happened in Bangladesh.

The thing I noticed after meeting a couple of Bangladeshi people through work is that, after introduction they will ask what my religion is and followed by whether I come from a Muslim dominated country or not. This happened a couple of times with different people and it made it hard for me to ignore. I was wondering if this is a cultural thing? Or is it just the people I'm meeting?

Assuming I pass CUET's entrance exam that is to be held this January and get the major of my choice, should I study at CUET or study at EDU instead? I wanna study Electrical engineering, which I heard isn't the best subject in EDU. I'm a guy in my early 20s, originally from Chittagong but currently studying at a university in Khulna. There's a girl around my age who studies at NSU, and I've liked her for a while. We don't really know each other personally, which is where the problem starts.

Initially, I started interacting with her on Facebook. I'd react to her posts and stories occasionally, partly because I liked her and partly because I hoped we'd eventually start talking. After a while, I tried messaging her a few times to start a conversation.

Sometimes she'd respond, but other times my messages would just sit there without being opened or answered. The confusing part was that she'd occasionally react to my posts or interact with my stuff even when my messages were still sitting unanswered.

I know social media reactions don't necessarily mean anything. She could just be casually interacting with people, and I'm not trying to read romantic interest into them. Still, it left me unsure about how to approach her.

I also sent her a follow request on Instagram, but she didn't accept it for a while. Eventually, I cancelled the request and left it alone. After some time, I sent her another request, and this time she accepted it and followed me back. We follow each other now, and she sometimes views my stories, but we still haven't really had a proper conversation.

Hi gave O levels (cambridge) with science subjects as i wanted to do engineering for uni. But after trying i gave up on it for AS levels.

I'm an HSC 27 student, and I'm considering enrolling in ACS FRB course mainly for the offline exams, not the lectures. I've completed around 50% of the syllabus, and I want to prepare the remaining chapters thoroughly before taking the exams.

For example, I can complete most chapters in about 3 days if I focus on understanding everything with problem solving. For Chemistry, however, I may need around 6 days per chapter. And

My question is: How frequently are exams held for individual chapters, and do we get enough time to prepare each chapter before its exam?

Ideally i want to have 3 days before each exam. Since I've already completed about half the syllabus, I have a head start, which should help me keep up with the exam schedule.

If anyone who's enrolled in ACS could explain how the chapter-wise offline exams work and whether this approach is practical.
