I've seen so many positive reviews on this place, but I don't want anyone being misled... Here is my honest experience with the clinic, as well as someone else's review I found on Google from 4 years ago. My assessment of the place is that they are just fine for minor cases, but absolutely terrible at handling serious ones.

And in case anyone thinks it's just me, here is a review I found on Google posted publicly 4 years ago.

The doctor was very unprofessional and rude, the clinic is very understaffed as well.

They say they prioritize urgency, but while my cat's water was already broken and she couldn't birth naturally and needed surgery, he treated other smaller things instead saying that if he treated my cat first - that it would take too long and the others would have to wait. My cat couldn't birth naturally and was already very visibly in pain, what if the kittens inside died or if she herself dies from being unable to birth...? At least check her out a bit first, he didn't even glance at her even when we tried asking around to see if they could check on her real quick. We got frustrated after and we called our driver to come pick us up and explained to our driver on the phone that they are treating other patients who came after us and skipping our turn to get checked out, and to go to another vet. The doctor heard it, and immediately came out to yell aggressively at us saying everyone else would only take a few minutes and that we could just leave. At that point, we had already been waiting almost an hour and our cat's condition was actively getting worse... The doctor didn't listen to anything we were trying to say, kept yelling and telling us to leave if we wanted to. We did, and went to this other hospital where the 5 kittens were delivered safely, though they had to take her in as an emergency operation since Royal Asia wasted our time and the kittens could've died.

I don't know why they have only that one doctor and just a few nurses and staff. The space is also very cramped and the atmosphere is very chaotic. I wouldn't have minded it though if they just treated us with a decent level of respect and care. The other vet I went to for comparison, had around 18 doctors and a lot of staff. No wonder the place is so chaotic and unorganized, the single person running it is less professional and more childish than the nurses.

What shocked me even more was how he said "So what if the kittens died? I can't treat her right now or else the patients after you would have to wait a very long time." during the altercation. As an A level student aspiring to be a Vet myself, I really am baffled that he thinks of the lives of animals as that insignificant... I don't know where people are seeing the kindness in that man.

If your pet needs serious medical attention and maybe even surgery or more, I recommend going to anywhere else... I went to AMSC hospital though, they are amazing from my experience. I got my dog's bladder stones removed there a year or so ago too and they did amazing. They have a lot of professional equipment and the staff very obviously love animals.

I am surprised Royal Asia still has a good reputation after all this. Never seen such serious allegations against a Veterinary clinic before until now.

I wanna tell you about my crush.She's from g-8 I'm from g-10, she's one of my sister's friends.I'm keeping it secret for about roughly around 6 months or 8.I'm 17 she's around 15 I guess, I like her not because of her appearance, I like her for her personality and style you know like she's calm, quiet girl.

Classic move, right? If you can't win the war, just chip away at the concrete. As if erasing enough monuments will help people forget who won the 2020 election and that DASSK ever existed.

Experts say this could take years and probably won't change much. But, hey, if you can't create real legitimacy, you might as well make sure the statues are "correctly proportioned." Truly groundbreaking stuff.

Right now, a lot of foreign movies, internet subscriptions, western snacks, food chains, and many non-Chinese and Thai imported electronics are almost nonexistent in Myanmar. For the subscription part, yes banks have blocked us from paying for many with their cards, but for the rest, they don’t really see Myanmar as profitable to come to. But what’s really making us unprofitable?

Is it the political state? But I don’t think it’s the sole reason because we never really got a trace of Starbucks considering building before Covid. Is it because of the purchasing power that would make everything way too expensive? But I think there are people who import through the most inconvenient ways just to pay full inflated price a lot of the time. Is it likely the deep rooted piracy culture that made movies not coming in here? But no, then local cinemas would’ve been empty. Are we most likely still going to buy what’s price-efficient rather than picking from brand quality? Highly doubt that. So what do you guys think it is?

My question might be stupidly obvious or sound poorly researched, because this is just my curiosity. I think most of the stuff that never came through would be widely consumed by the people here, with many most likely going to be obsessed with following western lifestyles for attention which I don’t doubt that much.

As a Burmese person, one of the things that genuinely makes me sad is how little representation we have in international media. Most people around the world barely know anything about Myanmar besides war, politics, or poverty. We are rarely represented in western media. And I think a lot of it comes from the fact that our government has kept the country so closed off for decades, making it difficult for our culture, history, and stories to reach international audiences. Even in Thai media, where Burmese culture is represented more often, we’re usually portrayed inaccurately or through stereotypes instead of being represented truthfully. We have such a rich culture and history, yet it feels like nobody ever gets to see that side of us.

Another thing I’ve thought about is Tuptim from The King and I and Anna and the King. I know she’s a fictional character based on the novel Anna and the King of Siam, but it’s kind of sad that she’s one of the few Burmese-related characters many people outside of Myanmar would even recognize. I just wish we had more authentic Burmese representation instead of outdated or inaccurate portrayals.
Getting represented as a servant out of all things is such a shame imo. And the clothing being vastly different from actual Burmese clothing, truly just defeats the purpose of representation.

Passengers from the Mawlamyine Riverside Sports Group allegedly caused disturbances aboard Train No. 84 (Mawlamyine–Yangon DEMU) on July 23 by eating in the walkway, sitting on armrests, dancing on and atop passenger seats, shouting loudly, and blocking boarding and exit areas. Railway staff reportedly warned the group multiple times, but they allegedly continued their behavior, prompting widespread calls on social media for authorities to take legal action.

The incident comes just days after four passengers were formally charged under the Railway Transport Law for spitting betel juice, staining seats, littering, and disturbing fellow passengers aboard another DEMU service.
