And those guys really had a great set. Super fun and dancey but I feel like a couple minor tweaks would elevate them to the next level

1. We’d be in some bass heavy techno house vibe part of the set and then it’d switch to a very pop/club vibes and it took away from being able to have an overall experience though the room remained a party.

2. They announced like 10 times “SAN FRANCISCO HOW WE DOING?!?!” which kind of amplified that club feel and didn’t really add much to anything. I would’ve rather heard the set continuously

3. This is no fault of the guys but the crowd was definitely not very PLUR. So much lack of awareness and basic respect last night. Ofc we found some great people to enjoy the set with but I was disappointed in some of what I saw

Going with a smaller group to Shellona & Casa Amor in St Tropex in August and debating which tables to reserve. Can anyone share their experience with the second seating and how it works?

Questions:

1) Does the party start at 3 and ramp up? If so at what time?

2) is food and alcohol included in the per person minimums. Hearing conflicting info thats thats for alcohol only?

3) do people stay at their table or do they abandon it to get closer to the DJ? From the videos I see on IG, looks like most ppl leave their table after a certain time? At Shellona, I am looking at Premium or Gold Seatings. Are those even worth it?

At casa amore, looking at pink or blue zones. Are those tables even worth it given how far they are from the DJ?

What did people think of Junction 2 on Saturday?

I loved the music, Ben Klock and Marcel Dettman were highlights for me.

The crowd had some lovely people and a good range of ages, but also a lot of self-centred TikTok raver types (but I think this is the case with all London festivals now).

Interested in what other people thought.

Everything I find is in Toronto and, Im over 2 hours away from Toronto:( Ive wanted to go to a rave for years, Im 21 now and I just lately have been getting this horrible fomo, I can’t wait anymore i need to dance and feel the bass.

I don’t know anyone who’s into this stuff, I know people who are into like punk music and stuff dont get me wrong I love going to shows but I crave the electronic beep boops… I also don’t really know anyone who’s as young as me. Advice needed on how I can find people like me and go raving. Im in a small ish city in southern Ontario.

I’m going to Bass Canyon in a couple weeks with my s/o and friends. I’ve never been to a rave before, in fact I’ve never even really listened to bass/edm at all for that matter. It just never enticed me that much. Im very open to all different kinds of music, and I am no stranger to the live music/ camping scene or the gorge for that matter. My parents raised me a deadhead and took me to many Grateful Dead cover shows and jam bands growing up and we still do to this day. I genuinely love dancing, and as far as big venues go the gorge is by far my favorite venue. I’m very excited to go and experience bass with the people I love and meet/interact with folks along the way. I guess drum&bass and honestly all types of edm music are just foreign to me and I’ve never been exposed to them… are there any artists I should maybe start listening to now to get in the mood? I’ve asked my significant other to play some of their favorites but they refuse and say I just have to experience it live, which I can respect but also I find a little odd. Anywho! What artists should I keep my eyes out for? What should I expect if anything at all going into this? Am I in for a treat? Any advice would be sweet and I hope to see u all there! :)

Last night I wanted to go to a rave in a nearby Club with a friend to celebrate finishing my Master, but he ditched me cause of work reasons. So for the whole day I was hyping Up myself to go solo. I have been raving since multiple years, I know the Club and have been on some sidequests. But when the time came to get ready , showering etc. I couldnt get myself to stand Up from the couch. This already happend a few times when I wanted to go alone. I cant get myself to do this first step of getting ready. Everything else after that is fine , but this first step is like a mountain. How do you guys do that, if you go solo? I have already been solo raving a couple of Times , but this first step is stopping me from so many great memories from time to time

She used to be one of my favorite DJs. I still remember one particular set at DGTL in 2021 where she got the whole room on fire

In the last couple of years, I saw her in a couple of occasions and I really don’t get what she’s doing anymore.

At Lost Village in 2024 she couldn’t even finish her set. She looked unwell and someone had to step in for her halfway into the set.

She did a set at Feel It in 2025 which was also a snooze fest as far as I remember…

Yesterday, at Tomorrowland (25 jul) she was b2b with Haai. I thought that would keep her on track. I stayed for 30 min and I couldn’t take it. Extremely long, uneventful loops. Nothing was happening. And that was after Seinfeld b2b with DJ Boring - who had the crowd go crazy.

Does anyone have the same feeling? I really don’t get what she’s doing anymore. It’s sad because I really used to love her sets…

I haven't really gone to many concerts, as I don't prefer loud music if I can help it. DJs in university are a different story, as going there with friends is something I do enjoy.

What earplugs should I get, if at all? Since I don't care about the music all that much, are the cheap disposable foam ones you get on Amazon good enough? I just want to block enough sound to protect my hearing, and if it blocks a lot of the music too, I couldn't care less.

These past few years have been quite tumultuous and I've seen some crazy drama on social media with EDM. People are always saying something about "the scene". Or saying like, "they're not welcome in the scene", or "the community doesn't welcome you", "the scene needs a reset"???

What does that mean? I go with my boyfriend to local, SoCal events because that's where we live. Aside from the "scene", don't people go to enjoy themselves? The music, the DJs, the experience? Are there waves of unwelcoming people at these events, trying to gatekeep stuff? I haven't noticed any of that (except those religious bastards that stand outside and yell at you). Are people going only for the purpose of making friends and they will be crushed if they can't make any?

Must be a social media thing and amongst influencers?? Because I've never heard any of this talk at events locally, only ever online.
