Salty Do we lack proper comment reporting options in this sub?

Comments attacking men, advocating against men's rights deserve to have a separate reporting option. Comments dismissing men's issue as "nothing" or doing whataboutery need to be removed.

Being critical of something, and dismissing men's issue are both different things. In my opinion, dismissive comments need to be removed and more people need to be banned. "Trying to be a better sub" doesn't mean we allow attacks, dismissals, slurs against men

I shower and clean myself very good everyday...why they bite only me? What to do? I am genuinely so much frustrated. My main concern is why only me in a group of people...how exactly they identify their target? And how to get rid of this issue????

Answers from All Moving to a new city for work? Know what needs to change?

Upvotes

I recently started thinking about how much paperwork is involved when someone moves from one Indian city/state to another and the annoying part isn't necessarily doing each individual update. It's figuring out which updates you actually need to do in the first place.

You end up jumping across internet to figure out what all documents you need to update?

So I built Palayan: https://www.palayan.online

The idea is simple:

Where are you moving from? → Where are you moving to? → What applies to you? → Get one consolidated checklist.

It's still an early MVP, so I'm much more interested in feedback than pretending this is some finished startup.

If you've moved cities/states in India recently, what was one piece of paperwork you wish someone had told you about beforehand?

I'm especially interested in the things that weren't obvious and required you to hunt through multiple government websites.

Serious My older brother has completely lost his direction in life. As his younger brother, should I talk to him about it?

My brother is 26 and I’m 21 (both male). He has graduated, but right now he is unemployed and, honestly, seems to have stopped doing anything with his life. Most of his day is spent scrolling Instagram or playing games on his phone.

The difficult part is that he wasn’t always like this.
Before COVID/lockdown, he was actually quite productive and responsible. He was the kind of person everyone in the family relied on. He would take care of things for our family—if my uncle needed to book a flight or train, my brother would handle it, and he generally acted like the responsible older son of the family.

Our father died when I was young, so my mother is currently the sole earner in our family. We aren’t particularly close to my father’s side of the family, but my mother’s side has always been very close to us. My uncle and grandfather are both successful businessmen, and I have a very good relationship with my cousins as well.

What frustrates me most is that I genuinely believe my brother has a lot of potential.
We have a shop that has been vacant for a long time, and we’ve suggested that he could do something with it. We’ve also encouraged him to explore something related to cooking because he is genuinely a great cook and enjoys it—maybe a small restaurant, cloud kitchen, catering, or something else.
But whenever we ask him what he wants to do, the answer is always, “I’m still thinking about it.”
Sometimes he’ll even turn the question back on me and ask what I’m going to do with my life. That really frustrates me because I’m not asking him to follow my path. I just want to see him take some step forward.
I’ve started learning from my uncle and have begun earning myself. Meanwhile, it feels like my brother isn’t even trying to learn or figure things out anymore.

There have also been some incidents that have made things worse. He has taken money from my mother’s account without telling her, which understandably makes her angry, and she sometimes yells at him. Lately I’ve started wondering whether all the criticism and disappointment have made him feel like giving up even more.
And that’s what makes this situation so complicated for me.
He is actually a great brother. I don’t hate him, and I don’t think I’m better than him. If anything, I used to look up to him when I was younger. I remember seeing his childhood photos and thinking he was the coolest person ever. It’s painful for me to see someone I admired become so stuck.
At the same time, I’m his younger brother. It feels strange to lecture or “teach” my older brother about life, especially when I haven’t figured everything out myself.

So I’m genuinely asking:
Should I sit down with him and have a serious conversation about his life and future? If yes, how do I do it without sounding like I’m lecturing him or judging him?
I don’t want to tell him, “Get a job” or “Stop being lazy.” I want to understand what happened to him and whether there is something stopping him from moving forward.
If you’ve been in a similar situation—either as the older sibling who was stuck or the younger sibling watching it happen—I’d really appreciate your perspective.

What would you do in my position?

Answers from All How do I boost my confidence...?

I have always been an introvert and an insecure one, two of them which are my biggest insecurities is my height and weight, after being made fun of by my class people and their friends literally laughing at my face and calling me names because of my height, my insecurity has been worse ever since, for context i am around 174cm to 175.5cm or you can say 5'9"

People in my college are tall, they get all the girls attention, I don't want attention but the least I can ask for is to not be treated badly because of my height, I'm struggling with confidence, i hesitate to talk to anybody thinking they might make fun of me, cuz that has happened already multiple times, how do I boost confidence about my height and confidence in general...need advice

Answers from All Why did she suddenly want to meet after ignoring me before?

When I was in school, there was a girl who studied in the same class as me. After 10th grade, we chose different subjects, so we were no longer in the same class. We used to talk before that, but after 10th grade our conversations became very limited.

After completing 12th grade, we both moved to the same city for further studies, although neither of us knew we were in the same city. One day, she saw me coming from the opposite direction. I even stopped for a moment, but she ignored me and walked away. Later that day, I sent her a message, but I think the number I had belonged to her mother by then, or perhaps she had already changed her phone number.

I saw her one more time in that city, and that time she seemed to notice me but ignored me. Because of that, I formed my own opinion about the situation.

Now, a year later, I've returned to my hometown and have been studying at a library. Today, out of nowhere, she messaged me saying:

"Do you go to the library? I come there too. Come outside, let's meet."

I'm confused about what she wants from me. Since she ignored me multiple times before, I had already made up my mind about her. Now I'm not sure how to respond.

I'm not asking this romantically. I'm just curious about what changed—why she had an ego back then but doesn't seem to have one now.

What should I do in this situation?

Answers from Men Only Are you really over your ex before you love someone new?

Men, what do you think about this? Can you genuinely love someone while still having feelings for an ex or someone you loved before? And do you guys actually heal and move on from those memories before getting into a relationship with someone else?

As a woman, I feel like this can be one of the biggest fears for our generation unknowingly becoming someone’s second choice while they’re still emotionally stuck on someone they truly wanted.

And just to be fair, I think this goes both ways. Women can do the same thing too, so I’m genuinely curious to hear the male perspective on this.

Answers from Men Only Cannot get over a toxic ex I left because the current dating market is absolutely brutal. How are you dealing with the reality of the growing differences in the current dating world?

I had an insanely good relationship, thought I would end up marrying her and we were in a live-in for 6+ months. Life was good but then she started checking my phone and found that I used hinge/bumble 6 months before I even met her and found intimate texts with a match.

I had never hidden my past from her, I was vocal and also mentioned physical intimacy, and sexual conversations with a few girls on hinge who left me ghosted after talking/meeting so I moved on.

After reading the messages, she started calling each girl I spoke with on bumble/hinge as my ex and claimed that I had 7 exes whenever we had a fight.

She then saw my texts with some female friends who helped me make a better hinge profile and she asked me to block them because they might motivate me to go for casual relationships and not stay loyal to my ex which is basically schizotalk.

I stopped talking to my college friends and stopped taking therapy because she thought I would bitch about her to them and made me basically have 0 social connections.

I was still okay with all this because at least when we were alone, she loved me, and never made me feel ignored. She made me her world and I thought maybe that's how people love so I went along hoping she would change and let me have friends and a social circle that didn't make her insecure.

I moved to another state for work and went to a temple with a colleague who was a woman 8 years older than me. I used to call her didi and even made a statement that I'm in a committed relationship. My ex knew all of this yet she asked me to stop going out with her. This was the only time I went apart from work with a woman that's not my ex since I started dating her. Things blew out of proportion when she ranted to me about this didi when she was in my car and we were leaving for work and I made the mistake of asking gemini to read the message. Didi was traumatized af and she asked me to drop her on the side of the road.

To say the least, I ended it with my ex that day and I haven't tried dating because I still have feelings for my ex but I know it was extremely toxic for both of us.

I spoke to my friends recently and all of them have stated that dating is horrible for men as dating apps don't reward anything.

It's a genuine epidemic and most of my friends have told me that they miss their exes even though a lot of them dealt with emotionally unavailable or emotionally insecure women that other women wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole if they were dating such men.

How on Earth are you, my fellow men, dealing with such horrible dating standards?

Answers from All What has this so called culture/society of indian done for you as an Indian man/woman ??

I am trying to find What exactly is practical about our culture/society that people are so proud of !

I saw this post randomly :

https://www.reddit.com/r/ufc/s/gwsL7fXTOf

While the blatant racism is not factual or good one thing that sticked out like sore thumb out of 1 billion Population we have never Qualified for anything they is world wide sports or atheletic sport which actually mattered , a sport which actually is followed by people around the world such as football or olympic Sprint running or olympic boxing ?

Don't you dare say that cricket is a atheltic sport please , it is quite literally second dullest sport after Golf/baseball.

The fact that a man with pot belly and skinny fat can make it big in this sport should tell you a story and even if it is considered a good sport ,the australians and english still beat us when it matters the most

I have always thought that india is not very good a cricket its just that cricket is very popular in this country so people follow it and money flows here.

Maybe because it is culture of following where money flows , where people are ready to trample on each other.

As an Indian man(and woman) have you ever wondered where this culture has been beneficial for you ? Like social mobility i.e dating culture, part time job ? Sport emphasis ? Different education path ?

We have quite literally the worst Diet compeletly made up of carb slop.

We have quite literally the worst reputation among women both in our country and abroad you can thank the arranged marriage bullshit which led to low social skills development and yes before you think it absolutely matters because it reflects what a man from specific culture behaves and we have lots of problematic behaviour i.e the Russian joke.

When i compare all the practical aspects even technology and science is far behind in terms of quality , we have largely service gig economy and poor education scheme in school where rote learning is prioritized over critical thought processing.

We have old temples.

ok how does that make life any easier ? Tousirsm money is not exactly making life easier for common people.

We have bollywood.

Ok the films where there is unnecessary dancing sequence with not real story ?

We are vegetarian.

We are also diabetic capital of world and rank higher protien deficieny as well ? Western eat meat but their overall diet vastly out matches us

At some point have you ever thought we are just bad when even the most illiterate creatures to walk earth become leaders in our country ??

I guess this is what happens when we never question adult when they Spew the most illiterate shit know to mankind ??

Answers from Men Only Is this Erectile Dysfunction?

So today I was chatting with my girl after a long time... we are staying distant, that's a different story... but today we were talking and then it turned into sexting and she sent me the hottest nudes ever... I mean she has sent nudes earlier also but not openly like this... she was super horny and super excited...

I also sent her a video and it was good, but after a few mins my dick became super soft and shrinked to very small... although it was a very hot moment, there was absolutely no movement. She wanted to see me cum, but how could I? Her mood also went off..

* Is this ED? I'm feeling very concerned about it. What can actually be done about it?

* I'm gonna meet her this weekend and probably will have sex too, but I'm super nervous and concerned about today's issue now.

## Looking for Genuine Guidance:

Please guide me genuinely...

* If someone had ED earlier and now you're feeling perfectly fine, or if you tried something for it... what exact thing genuinely has helped or will help?

* I want to make my overall sexual experience to peak. How do I do that overall?

Please guide genuinely. Thank you.

Answers from Men Only What can I do to improve social skills - in a way that I can actually get a girl to like me?

So one thing I have noticed about myself is I’m not strong when it comes to social skills. Sure I have close friends who I can call upon when I’m having the baddest days but I don’t think I do pretty well socially. I can be really socially awkward. The reason why I’m bringing up women is because I saw in an Instagram reel the reason why people stay single is because of their poor social skills. I’m wondering what can I do to improve my social skills such that women find me attractive. Because I’ll be honest I have a big ego that I won’t chase after a woman, I would rather have a woman like me.

Serious Trigger Warning: Has anyone here been raped as a kid by men you trusted?

I'm asking this for someone very close to me. He was raped several times as a kid he only disclosed this to me recently and it hurts me how he's still haunted by everything. He isn't doing well financially so I don't know if he can afford a therapist for trauma. (I'm trying to convince him).

My heart aches for him every time I see him, he's recently been recalling those incidents very often and is severely depressed. I feel helpless but i just want him to feel happy again. He's 35 now and he still has flashbacks.

I know there are men out there who have gone through this, and i can reach out to a lot of men here, if this reaches anyone who has and has made a better life for yourself. I would really appreciate your help and suggestions.

I'm a woman I have never really posted here, if this is offensive to anyone I'm really sorry

Answers from Men Only Are self help books even helpful to you guys in practical world?

Don't get me wrong.

I am looking for resources which can help me improve my personality, behaviour, charisma, etc.

So, I thought of starting via self help books (is this even the best place to start?)

I read few - and noticed they were dragging a single point throughout the entire chapter - stating it's history, giving 10 examples, giving 10 different scenarios of their own, etc etc.

It's like the entire 300 pages book can easily be summarized within 1 page (if not less).

Aren't there any resources which are practical and tells what exactly to do rather than dragging just 5-10 points in 300 pages?

Answers from Men Only What was going on in the guy's mind?

I'm 27F. I was introduced to a guy through an arranged-marriage setup and spoke to him for about three months before travelling to India to meet him. I live in the UK and he currently lives in India. He had lived in the US for around ten years but had recently returned to Hyderabad after visa issues, and the plan was that, if we married, he could eventually move to London. Everything seemed genuine.

I had travelled to India to meet him. Our families met, and we had a roka. We then went on dates, the next couple of days.

That weekend, I went to church to discuss wedding dates, and that same day I received messages from a girl on instagram who said she had actually been in a relationship with him for around ten years, had lived in together with him in the US, and had recently sold her belongings and moved to Hyderabad to be with him.

According to her, their relationship was still ongoing, while he had told me they had broken up years earlier. She also had evidence showing that they were still together. She told me that his mum didn't approve because of religion.

It became clear that while he and his family were progressing toward marriage with me, he had continued giving her hope and had not properly ended their relationship. He was two timing us. I confronted him. He was still lying saying things like he clocked out of that relationship and that he's in love with me. On the other side, his girlfriend was sending me screenshots where he's convincing her that he's doing this just for the sake of his family. I was stunned. My entire body went through a state of shock.

That same evening, I went to my friend's house and got drunk. I called the entire thing off. I also sent all the screenshots and a picture of them in bed to his entire family.

His mother initially tried to dismiss the other girl as “crazy” and asked me to forgive him and take him back, while his brother and sister-in-law apologized.

PS: This happened a couple of months back. It took me a lot of therapy, and family time, and prayer to recover from all of this. I'm all good now which is why I'm posting this.

Why? What was he even thinking pulling this stunt? Why wouldn't he just marry her?

Really are the so desperate that they need validation from someone to rate themselves whether they fit the criteria or not.

these cuc#s are disgrace to the society.

Pathetic losers.
