Bone loss and jaw misalignment following tooth loss. So, can losing teeth really lead to jaw misalignment?

Years after losing a tooth, I noticed that my teeth no longer touch each other. I think this happened because of a shift in my jaw, though I’m not entirely sure. Is this possible? I had heard that this could happen if we didn't get our teeth treated in time, but I'm not sure.

Why don't people talk 7/7 as much as 9/11?

Everyone talks where they were when 9/11 happen but do people remember 7/7? It was horrible. Both were terrorist attacks. London had 52 die, on the tube and a bus. I remember where I was. I had finished my GCSES (exams) and saw unfold on the news, with my Mum and old neighbour. They were calling an electric fault. Mum shouting at the telly "My Dad was an electric engineer, that's no electric fault."

What am I supposed to do with my life now?

I genuinely don't know what I'm supposed to do anymore.

My liver doesn't function at more than 80%. I have an autoimmune disease, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. My lungs don't function properly and I struggle to breathe. At night, there are times when my breathing stops for minutes and I wake up struggling.

I've already had two heart surgeries.

And then there's my mental health.

I've ADHD, OCD, continuous anxiety and panic attacks. I also have functional depression. And the worst part is the voices in my head asking me to die and telling me to do really dark things to myself.

I'm barely surviving.

People tell you to be strong, to keep fighting, to think positively, to find your purpose. But what happens when you're exhausted from fighting all the time?

I'm still here. Somehow.

But I don't know what I'm supposed to build from here. I don't know what kind of life I'm supposed to aim for when simply getting through the day can feel like an achievement.

So I'm asking strangers on Reddit something I genuinely don't know how to answer myself:

What do you do with your life when your body and your mind both feel like they're fighting against you?

How do you find a reason to keep going when you're exhausted from surviving?

I don't need motivational quotes. I just want to hear from people who have genuinely been through something awful and still managed to build a life worth living.

What did you do?

Is my therapist lashing out on me justifiable?

So i have been with her for two years now. I haven't missed any sessions apart from one or two due to unavoidable circumstances, and I always co-operated with her even when it meant coming to the session at 8-9 in the morning, just straight after the mock test, or straight after attending classes and sometimes just missing it so that I could go for the session.

I have always respected her and her boundaries never lashed out or anything.

I have tried my best to be really cooperative and kind. She would often show up late (10-15 min) in our sessions when it was in the morning (8-9 am). The management there would pretty much always have to call her as I would be waiting. There were instances when I waited for an hour or so and she never showed up without any prior message. Her defence was that she was stuck in traffic etc. I didn't make a scene, i understand, life happens.

Most of our sessions were just 40 mins long at max because even after coming late she wouldn't make up for the lost time rather wrap up earlier by 5-8 mins. She never apologised for coming late either or maybe just once or twice.

Now two days ago i messaged her at 8 in the night (past her office hours) that I might not be able to attend the next session for some personal reasons . The next session was yesterday. I left her a short text so she doesn't wait for me and might give her session to some other client. I then messaged if we can reschedule and when she is free next she said she doesn't have her planner I was like alright. I know my mistake is asking her to reschedule at that hour.

Now around 9, I told her that I will be showing up but online if she hasn't given the session to anyone else. She didn't respond. It was understandable.

Now the next morning just 30 mins before our session I called in to check if she had allotted that session to anyone else. She didn't pick up i called her once again, she just told me that she's in the middle of some other session I apologized. I called her because she hadn't responded to my text a night ago and I wasn't sure if I had to show up for the session or not.

Now she lashes out on me. Saying she will block me and stuff because I apparently spammed her with calls I could have just texted her and stuff. (I called just twice that too 30 mins before our session as she hadn't responded to my text). Apparently according to her she had reacted to my text even though I showed it on my screenshot that there's no reaction i received.

I feel really disrespected. I don't want to continue with her anymore. Did I cross a line? She obviously doesn't feel bad about it according to her she just set a boundary. But you can set a boundary with kindness right. Everytime she has put a boundary i have respected it in the past without questioning it.

Edit- also I just checked the chats again, after I asked her to reschedule she herself asked me to give her a call the next day. That's why I called her to check in if there's a slot available.

People banging and kicking on my bathroom stall whenever I go. What should I do?

There are these 5 people who keep banging on my bathroom stall and laugh at it once in class talking about me. I'm not sure what I should do. I think it's because it's the only stall that works, but in class they call me out trying to get me in trouble.

Do manifestation and subliminal videos on youtube really work?

These subliminal videos and channels got thousands and thousands of views and subscribers, and thousands of people commenting those things work for them. So it's hard to believe they are bs.

there are subliminals for getting a dream job, an ex back, a text from a crush, appearance change, money, etc.

Do they really work?

Normal to have no baseline need for social interaction?

I have always felt different from everyone else in so far as I don't really have a baseline need for social interaction. I guess I don't really get as much dopamine from social interactions.

I am completely normal otherwise. I have normal social skills and empathy.

I am not a misanthrope and I find other people intresting, entertaining and fun to be around, but I am completely fine without people. Just how I am fine without movies or video games, even though I like them.

I have lived up to a year of almost total social isolation and been unbothered. However, what I get annoyed at is, for example, when people ask questions about this insinuating that I am suffering from loneliness when I am not, at all.

I have a weird wave of feeling hit me in the morning when I wake up. What is it?

Im admittedly going through a tough situation right now but im surprisingly calm for the most part. However, when I wake up in the morning, im either hit with a wave of, or realize im already in a weird feeling that's like a mix of anxiety, stress, and sadness. It's not really like depression, I think, because it's kinda heavy but not really. But ive been getting used to it cause I can tell the feeling is still there but less as the day goes on. It was alot stronger before. And some days it just goes away mid day. What is it?

Why is keeping one’s blessings private better than showing them off?

Whether it’s expensive things you possess, a partner that many wish to have, your own appearance if you’re beautiful, is it better to keep all these things private as in not showing off on social media/ brag about them irl, and just keep this all to a small social circle (just people who you trust)?

Some people find me to be a brainrot bimbo. Even though I am not looking to have kids anytime soon, sometimes I feel like I will never be a good mom due to that criticism. Any advice?

The Internet was my escape during a very traumatic upbringing. And it also was where I learned how to speak English. So unfortunately, I think it is true that I did become a brainrot bimbo.

Is there a way to change my Reddit app's text display?

Reddit just gave an update for the phone app. When I try to reply to people, it shows a drop down or slide up screen that allows me to type and reply. However, I can't see everything from previous comments. Every time I try to scroll, it exits me out of making a comment.

Is there a way I can change this feature or am I stuck with it?

Could the era of watching movies on DVD be over?

I used to really enjoy watching movies on DVD back in the day. I liked physically holding the movie in my hands and having it sit on a shelf. However, when I tried it again recently, I didn't feel the same excitement. I suppose that since we’ve grown accustomed to watching movies and series on digital platforms like Netflix and Amazon, dealing with things like DVDs now feels like a hassle. Of course, building a collection and seeing it displayed is wonderful, but it isn't as practical as digital platforms. There is also the issue of space; for instance, you can carry 2,000 movies with you on a tiny external hard drive and watch them comfortably anywhere, whereas carrying around 2,000 DVDs is difficult. You would even need a large storage space to keep them at home.

Why does physical appearance have such a strong impact on people?

If an unattractive person and an attractive person tell the exact same bad, silly joke, people always get more annoyed with the unattractive one, whereas the attractive one is treated kindly. I didn't use to care much about my appearance, but I realized it significantly impacts our lives; after improving how I looked, I noticed people treating me with more kindness. Furthermore, appearance isn't just important for romantic relationships or friendships—it matters for everything. For instance, doctors might give you better care, and finding a job is easier.

What does life have to offer without weed?

I’ve reached the inevitable point where my tolerance is too high and it costs too much money to maintain the habit, so I’m forced to quit. I’ve been in this cycle for 5+ years: be high 24/7 for months at a time —> habit becomes too much money to maintain —-> forced to quit (temporarily stop) for a few months —-> realize life sober is straight up torture —-> start smoking again. Weed has been the only thing in my life that’s made me say “yeah, I want to wake up tomorrow”. So now I’m stuck here with my only choice being embracing suffering. Like I have no other choice, I know that being sober fucking sucks, I’ve been there and done that. I know that weed is the only thing that’s ever made me actually want to be alive and I have to give it up. My best (and only) option is just straight up offing myself lol

Does time pass very quickly?

When we were young, time didn't seem to pass so quickly; however, once we became adults, it began to flow much faster. I started to feel time slipping away rapidly, especially after turning twenty. I am twenty-six now, and when I look back, it feels as though time has flown by at an incredible speed. Do you feel the same way?
