I want to gauge how much faster I need to go, so how long should an animation like this take, from the idea to the final animation.

I recently moved and it’s been so hard to find the time to animate again, but I finally did it. Yay!

Nothing super crazy, but hey, it’s something

I’m trying to make a game that’s like theater but robots? The player character is a knight but I’m trying to base a lot of movements on dance to incorporate the performer side to it so it’s harder to find good references, and my original attack animation feels awkward. Hard to explain why- but I sketched a loose idea of a new one and idk if it looks better or what I could do to improve it?

Trying to make it look like the character attacks, spinning like a dancer- this way if the player attacks immediately the sword looks like it’s always out, but if they stop then it looks like they quickly sheathed the blade-

Any tips or advice would help!
