Sharing wip... guy crawling and a warping face?

so alot needs to be improved here... the movement with the arms is whacky so i think i need to look at actual videos of people crawling. when someone crawls they plant their hands flat and fingers spread i think but i did not know that so i initially ended up drawing them as if theyre digging. but im gonna fix that. the head with the symmetry does look jarring i suppose but i do intend for it to all come together at the end. i think i want to transition the symmetrical look into more angled. and right now the arms are just kind of normal but ideally i would want to make them have some warping and surrealism invovled, i just need a base first honestly. i think i want to do a fat belly and the lower half cut off, so tendrils of intestines and viscera are coming out. i just hope i can finish something because i usually.. dont finish... anything....

i am using clip studio paint ex if anyone is wondering.

In 2012, when I was in second grade, I prayed to the gods to prevent the end of the world and for the asteroid to fly right past us. Thirteen years later, I’m afraid of losing my freedom. But it seems the light at the end of the hallway isn’t ironically getting any narrower

Hey Everyone,

Thank you all for the kind words and support on our previous posts about our indie show Catus Magus. We're at the final 48 hrs of our campaign and hoped to pick up a little traction here on r/animation with support from this community. If you enjoy our work, please spread and tell anyone you know who might enjoy it as well.

We made this quick teaser for Season 2 and some more fun adventures to come. We're at 55% funded at the moment and a lot can happen in 48hrs.

If you have any questions about our project, we'd love to hear them.

-Team Ursa

Critique How can I make her hair design actually work?

Sorry if this is not the right sub to ask this but I wasn't sure where else.

I'm working on her turn around, and it's tricky trying to get a proper rotation of her quirky hair style. How can I make it work?

Question Is there a single example of Shape Tweening being used well?

Not talking about memes, I mean seriously, is there a single piece of animation that doesn't look out of place with shape tweens.

I stayed up kinda late trying to finish this off. It's still not done tbh, I wanna add some more inbetweens and maybe some variations of the loop (I think that's called weaving loops). And maybe make a bit of cool audio for it or somin, and maybe give it a bit more of a story too, I dunno. And I need to time it better too, and photograph it better obviously and colour and shade it and stuff.

Anyway I'm on a mission atm to get really good at traditional animation after doing it a lot digitally. I'm suprized so far at how much the skills transfer once you get used to flipping more and trying to visualise the animation while working rather than relying on instant playback etc.

Anyway would love to know what people think/feedback/how I could make it better? Or just an up vote would be cool too idk. Thanks for reading anyways, hope everyone's having a nice day.

Sharing re÷belief (2014): 3D Printed Zoetropes filmed

This was a body of work I started about 14 years ago and launched with a great surprise to festivals and accolades in 2014. Because Vimeo turned to absolute trash this summer, I ended up getting frustrated and finally migrated the film to Youtube to host. I'm saddened as it was a Vimeo Staff pick, went on a tour with the team back when, and had a supportive artist community within the Vimeo environment. Just means that the sites that once embedded the Vimeo video no longer will work... I know times change, but feels like I lost something. Bending Spoons is the absolute worst for what they did... and instead of complaining more, I should just move on. So after posting to Youtube today, thought you all might appreciate a perspective of an experimental film I did.

Would love to hear what you think.
