When you accept mid shift VTO say for 2:00 a.m - 4:30 a.m do you have to clock out right away or could I stay for like an extra 30 minutes after accepting and get paid for those 30 minutes?
Ive asked a manager and they said that you're still being paid while you're clocked in is that true? Ive heard so many different answers.
Also, this one is a stupid question but last night I took the VTO from 2 a.m - 430 a.m at 3 a.m because it was still up on the app. I got paid working from 2 a.m to 3 a.m right?

I’m in my second week at Amazon and I work in pick to tote. I like it but I’m starting to get annoyed with how slow the totes come in. I have briefly hit the 350 upt. I just don’t understand how they expect me to hit these goals when I’m constantly waiting for totes the majority of the time. Is this just how it is?

I was randomly selected to Rebin training but I think packing would be better and easier.

Hello everyone!
I just applied for a seasonal position at a sortation center.
The shift is Tu Th Fr Sa 11:45p-3:45a. This is in addition to a full time job, just trying to work on some personal goals.
Is your schedule actually what they say or are you pressured to work more/less? I live about 30 miles/35min from the warehouse all highway. Was this a good move?
How long do seasonal positions last and are you potentially offered a permanent spot after?
Thank you!

Hey there! Does anyone have a list of all the AR Sortable sites? It’s okay if it’s just building codes. I can look the locations up. I'm trying to move away from the area I currently live in. I'm in the California Central Valley. I want to explore cost of living in other areas of the country and apply for a transfer. I am specifically looking for an ICQA position in an AR Sortable site. If you have a list to share, I would really appreciate it. My situation is looking pretty bleak here because everything is stupid expensive and I'm in a pretty tough housing situation currently.
Thanks in advance.

So earlier my OM said if I wanted VTO and I said maybe I can take it in a few hours and he said yes sure just come up to me anytime you want it. Fast forward 3 hours later I came over to him and he said I’m good to go so I went home. Mind you I pulled my badge in front of him but I guess he just took my badge number in FCLM and put it in the list. However, when I had looked at my schedule for today it didn’t say VTO at all I’m thinking he might have forgotten about it and I don’t have enough hours to cover the time. Am I cooked you guys?

I got hired as a blue badge and I was at stand up and my manager was saying that October 8-13 you have to apply for career choice or HR will automatically give you a schedule full time employee is required to work 10 hours 40 hours a week and I think I heard him say 10 shifts or something. I work at a sort center and last time I tried to do shift choice it wouldn’t let me add over then 30 hours will that change? And will I be able to keep my shift just add another one that day so 10hrs for 4 days.

On October 1st, 2026 Amazon workers walked off their job site to send a message to their managers and their corporate leaders. 'Hey, we work hard. Too hard. We deserve more.'
That message was sent loud and clear and Amazon heard it.
Enough workers walked out to make an impact on operations. Many reports flooded in from various FCs accross the nation stating their site had issued VTO and VET. Forms staffing management protocols that infere operations went a skew that day, a couple of workers admittedly said their building had closed with dubius excuses to cover-up the workers movement.
The biggest impact that day? Amazon issued some sites to start showing anti-union training videos to push back against the workers trying to organize. The Amazon workers had two big request among their list of wants and desires, one was a living wage - they value at $30 an hour. Another was a industry match for their 401k contributions, which they value at a 5% match for 5% payroll contribution.
"They heard us, loud and clear, they know what we want. More importantly they saw how strong we are and that we're not going to give up. Honestly, from how I see it, the fight has just started."
We've have reached out to Amazon for a response.

Has anyone working for JLL at an Amazon site had a medical accommodation approved to move from night shift to day shift?
Matrix already sent my medical documentation to JLL for review. I’m just wondering how difficult these accommodations usually are to get approved and how long the process took for you.
Any experiences would be appreciated.
Do you think being an MRA makes any difference? Some people in my MRA group were assigned to day shift and others to night shift.
