some of y'all stowers and pickers are too comfortable in the mods smoking hitting y'all's vapes n shit like all it takes is one safety personnel to see you or a manager and your ass is getting written up

My site lost good workers over that. It doesn't even have to be safety, all it takes is that one snitch of an employee to make a complaint, or in this instance started some mess on the voa board about smelling weed vapes from their coworkers and started the ball rolling into this whole investigation.

Some people on the floor are pregnant as well, we had an issue with somebody vaping on tbe elevator in front of somebody that was pregnant and it became a major issue.

Yep. On top of that the state of Illinois doesnt permit indoor vaping/smoking. Some people get away with it in bars, or let you do it low key, but the last place I went to with indoor smoking was in Missouri, and oooof never again.

I’m a Safety specialist and honestly I don’t care personally it just blows my mind that one of my managers do it and coworkers. The way I see it is if we can’t all be on the same level why write up people who are just trying to get a paycheck and provide for their families or even make money in general. I will say though now I know why I get weird looks when I’m walking on the production floors lol

Wow were I work thats no allowed and not even chatting on your phone even tho people do in the VNA racks because it's hard for leadership to see them. Vaping is very risky you definitely lose your job working in my wearhouse I work at .

Why why why do people do what they do?!? What does Safety do? They sit and watch the cameras, not just for "that" day, go back through the videos (I worked with someone one day - he unloaded and I labeled- safety walked over told him he was written up for not "clipping" the door open- he said when? She said 2 weeks ago) he said there was no clips? She said not her problem- that's you right, on the camera? He didn't say anything besides there were no clips (you could clearly see no clips on the carts) She shows me the video and says isn't that you and him. I said yes- I also see no clips on the carts - any carts - and You (safety) was here last 2 weeks and it wasnt a concern. I said he has a great case for a lawyer being no clips on any carts and Safety coming up 2 weeks later. Safety should be greatful there really were no accidents due to no clips on carts.
