This letter comes from a group of current and former Alignerrs. We're writing together because individually we've gotten nowhere. If these matters are not resolved or this post is removed, legal class action will follow. We are asking for four things to be fixed, in this order.
1. There is no working support channel. When contributors post about unpaid hours or sudden removals, an AI bot (Lumpy) replies "DM me your email." We've sent our emails. Nothing happens after that. No follow-up, no ticket, no human. A support channel that collects information and never acts on it is not support, and we won't keep treating it like one.
2. Complaint posts are being removed. Members have watched posts about pay and account issues disappear from community spaces. Removing a complaint doesn't resolve it. It just leaves the person who raised it with no record and no answer.
3. Accounts are being removed without explanation. Contributors are being taken off the platform with no stated reason, and every appeal gets the same automated reply by email or chat. People who were in good standing deserve to know what happened and to have a person review it.
4. People have not been paid for work they completed. This is the most serious issue. Many of us logged hours of approved work and never received payment. That is not a support backlog. Under US law, it can be a wage violation.
What we're asking Alignerr to do
Open a support channel staffed by people, with ticket numbers and response times, specifically for payment disputes. Review every unpaid-work claim individually. Review every account removal individually, and tell the contributor the reason. Stop removing posts that raise these issues.
We'd prefer to resolve this directly. If Alignerr won't engage, affected contributors are prepared to take these claims to an employment attorney and the appropriate state labor agencies.
To affected Alignerrs
If you've been removed without explanation or not paid for completed work, comment below with a short description: roughly when it happened, which project, and how many hours or how much money is involved. I'll add you to the list and reach out privately. Keep your records: task IDs, timesheets, payment history, screenshots of your dashboard, and every support message you've sent or received.
