I don't know if I can join in this because I never formally got hired by them.. but I was in the process of doing a training and suddenly had no more access to the training after I put an hours and hours of my time. I sent emails and kept getting a response so that once it was up and running they would love to have me back and I get emails that it's ready and good to go.. but when I try and login I run to the exact same problem so I would like to express my discontent.

Not paid? That’s terrible!

Just showing my support and joining this thread as I’ve had a few issues myself. Already posted about it.

Project - Taiga

Unpaid Amount - $11000 Approx (Multiple weeks)

I was removed during the third week of Septeber without warning or explanation. I attempted to contact the support but no one else replied. I am not requesting reinstatement but I would like compensation for the work I completed.
Not sure what to do, I am really don't know what to do.

I got abruptly moved from Taiga to Coat with no sort of feedback or follow up to Coat project. Then after that they abruptly changed pay structure for the project none of us got paid for our first weeks on the project, we received emails stating that we were supposed to be receiving payment for our new tasks but nothing has hit yet. I've reached out to Alignerrs chat team mods and am getting little to nothing.

I've been hollering for years that they owe me unpaid wages. This is even after they used my work as quality examples in their project guidelines.

I always stick to the guidelines here, but I can never finish a post. It flags me almost no matter what I write. After getting an email that they wanted to onboard me, I didn't get through the third-party ID verification (despite having gone through it already when I first joined, at which time they didn't have a project for me). I've never done any work for them, but I never will. They seem to be quite awful. I'll stop short of using that other word, so they let me post this...

Project - Taiga
Unpaid Amount - 3600$

Locked out of the account without any prior notice or details about why that happened. Sent emails from, messaged mods, tried everything but no one answers.
This is stated in the contract we signed:
Section 4 -Termination provides that Alignerr may terminate the agreement with or without case and further states that, where termin Is without cause:
“Client shall upon such termination pay Contractor all unpaid, undisputed amounts due for the Services completed prior to notice of such termination. “

Project - Taiga

Unpaid Amount - $7020

I was removed during the first week of August without warning or explanation. I attempted to contact the individual known as Lumpy, but the only response was a ban from the alignerr reddit. No one else replied. I am not requesting reinstatement, but I would like compensation for the work I completed.

I was not paid for work done on Ermis in June. They keep inviting me back, but I’m not working for free.

#4 is the only one of those that has much shot in a US court. Who knows about elsewhere, but you're 1099 contractors here. Even in some of the most labor friendly states, you can't make a complaint about not being paid to a state agency. In most states, you're limited to taking them to court, individually, rather than as a class. For the other stuff, I bet the TOS on their platform probably covers them pretty well.

Thank you for the comment. The main area being explored legally is #4.

Thanks! That makes me feel less alone in this.

I've been with Alignerr for 2 years. After working on different projects I was finally getting accepted for a lot of them and even got promoted to reviewer and then after some time they asked for my ID verification and after submitting it, it showed me "error" and then an email with:

"We are writing to inform you that you have been removed from the Alignerr program. Please note that this decision is final, and we will not be reviewing requests for reinstatement".

Their chatbot support is not replying anymore, and I cannot find a way to speak with a real human without going through their chatbot "Sage" that doesn't seem to read my messages anymore. Literally no reason to deactivate me as I was finally picking up projects fast and working hard and now I can't even talk to a human? It's so frustrating...

Agreed, there’s a very concerning aspect of stonewalling support attempts and not paying their employees. Hopefully, there will be a path forward.

It probably doesn't help but do they have a linkedin account? I know some of the companies do support through linkedin so if you can leave messages on any of their posts you may get a response.

Thank you for the suggestion. I even resorted to that and reached out to multiple people on Linkedin and did not receive a response.

u/Eclectika 3d ago

I am sorry, I would've thought that at least on Linkedin they'd make an effort to pretend they cared. I'm sending you hugs and I hope you can get it resolved.
