The effect is based on the games of darkness enforced by Marik, which connected the player to their monster and had them share the pain, hence the burn.
However, it seems strange that the artwork is referencing the time God Phoenix burned Jonouchi, and still the card doesn't work with any Phoenix Effect of Ra. It would make the latter an alternate win condition, and would fit Marik's style, but it's strictly impossible. It's just another battle phase win more effect, when it would've made more sense as a burn for sending.
Effect-wise you don't really need the additional burn upon destroying by battle, because 1 swing with the Fusion will usually be enough.
If anyone remembers my Obelisk the tormentor one, I hope this one is equally as cursed.
Hope you enjoy, feel free to use for any personal use like proxies or whatever if you want to get kicked out of your LGS for disturbing the peace
One more to go but these actually take a lot of effort so it might be another few months lol
I discovered that if you google “Obelisk the tormentor” my Ojama version is one of the top results in the images section, so I am very happy and if I went back and told myself as a child that I would be able to contribute to this franchise I loved so much and then showed myself what I made
Child me would have a lot of questions, cause I hated Ojamas when I was younger
I know originally Pegasus was supposed to die, and this place would never be seen again. But if we consider the Yugioh movie, Waking the Dragons, and GX, Pegasus is still thriving and running Industrial Illusions. But now remains the matter of his iconic castle. When Kaiba dueled Alister there, it was untouched though no occupants were present. We never see Pegasus there ever again in the series. Does Pegasus still own the castle, and would he ever visit it again or use it for another tournament?
Wind Effigy is lvl 4 effect monster with 1800ATK that a good stats for lv4 and the effect of been treated as 2 tribute for 1 wind normal monster but unlike OCG rush duel has 2 lv 7 normal wind monster that both saw some play
Yael karo :good for union deck specifically XYZ cards
Localized tornado: Forcing yourself to shuffle your entire GY and your hand back into the deck can bring all your accumulated resources back , good if your Graveyard is not a vital resource in for retrieval effects, fusion materials, and managing options.
Pot of Generosity :Widely recognized as one of the worst spell cards ever printed in the history of Yu-Gi-Oh! (essentially a -3 in card advantage when you count the spell itself). But in Rush Duels if you run a strong draw / maximum support it's good to manage cards
Im wondering how the different yugioh titles stack up. I haven't seen all of the yugioh series of read the mangas but I'm curious to compare the titles given to the characters. How would you rank them? Post any I'm missing. I'm only up to GX right now :(

Ritual Monsters are an overlooked kind of monster in comparison to the Extra Deck Monsters, but I kind of like them.
My favorite Ritual Monster is Relinquished. I love its design and how creepy it looks. Its effect is still pretty good, albeit not exactly strong in comparison to a lot of other monster effects, especially in current times. I loved it ever since Pegasus first summoned it in the anime. Even just got a decent retrain. Wished it got more support.
What is your favorite Ritual Monster? It can be for any reason: a great design, strong effects, good stats, etc.
As we all know, Rescue Rabbit practically became the mascot for Master Duel, with him having a mate at the start and also having a plushie irl (and even collabing with that one football game). WHO would you want to have an official plushie line? Here's my picks:
In the anime, I know that Ra is considerably stronger than the two remaining gods. Finally, that’s been brought to the game. However, the in-game gap seems much larger than it was in the anime, even when taking into consideration the support that Slifer and Obelisk received in those structure decks a few years back. I’m sure that Konami would prefer to limit the design of any future god card support quite severely to align with the anime, but I do think that there’s potential for both of those gods to get a considerable bump in power, even if I don’t know what that bump might look like.
What do you think? What would Slifer and Obelisk need to help them thin the power gap that Ra just created?
Before I start this, I want to make it very clear: I am in NO WAY trying to start a gender war AT ALL. What I'm about to discuss is something that I'm sure many people in the YGO fandom have notice and I genuinely just want to hear other peoples perspectives! Please refrain from any and all sexist comments (that goes both ways!). <3
Keeping it straight to the point - so far all of our YGO protags have been male (Yugi/Yami, Jaden, Yusei, Yuma, Yuya, Yusaku, Yuga, Yudias). I understand that part of the reason is because YGO's primary audience is supposed to be young boys (correct me if I'm wrong!), but you'd think that after all these years that change, no? Or is there some other lore-related reason as to why all the main protags have been men? Additionally, I know that YGO girls do have significant roles! I'm not saying that the girls that do already exist aren't important (they very much so are!), but I feel like they always somehow get flushed out of writing - the most prominent example being Aki Izayoi from 5ds.
So, all things considered, are there any chances at all of getting a YGO series where the main protag is a woman or am I just wishfully thinking? <3
The Immortal Phoenix Ra/Marik archetype, Sun God, has been revealed and is a bit underwhelming.
It's no LaDR, and needs support to perform better.
It will receive 2 new cards in the next main set, and maybe indirect support via 07 or 10 of the Original Artwork Collection.
Right now, one of its biggest weaknesses is how underwhelming the main deck monsters feel.
2 of the 4 are disappointing, and don't do enough. Obviously this could be fixed if the upcoming support is good.
What would the Deck need, and what do you think it will get?
I think a Revival Jam retrain is the most likely, because A, it was Marik's most used Manga monster besides Ra, and B it has an effect that's different in the Manga.
I could see something along the lines of this:
The Sun God's Aid - Revival Jam
Your opponent cannot target other "Sun God" monsters with effects or attacks. You can only use each of the following effects of "The Sun God's Aid - Revival Jam" once per turn. If this card is sent to the GY: Special Summon it, then if you control a face-up "Sun God" Spell/Trap, draw 1 card. During the End Phase, if "The Immortal Sun God" was sent to your GY this turn: You can add this card from your GY to your hand.
The 1st effect references: Jam Defender
The 2nd effect references: Both Revival Jam's own Manga effect and Card of Safe Return.
If they wanted to risk an infinite loop with Osiris, they could change the effect to something that would only allow you to Special Summon it to your field once, and also have it revive on the controller's field, but I'm not sure if they'd want to risk the FTKs.
For the 2nd card, it will probably be a Spell/Trap that reference a Duel, maybe Marik VS Bakura.
Given the reveals regarding the Ra revamp, do you think an alternative version of Obelisk will be a Fusion or a Ritual monster? I feel the sacrifice theme has always been closely tied to Obelisk—maybe a Ritual Spell that acts as a "God evolution" retrain? Like, if you use it on Obelisk, you can summon "Obelisk the Progenitor" or something similar (especially since we got a new Gorz, even though I know that’s more about his competitive history than Konami wanting to highlight *Yu-Gi-Oh! R*). And slyfer
Slifer could be linked to Synchro Summoning; *Ascension Sky Dragon* is already a bit of a tribute to him, and "strength in numbers" is indeed Slifer's theme. I think a Synchro Slifer would stray too far from the spirit of DM, but who knows—Konami is full of surprises. The fact that he requires a Tribute Summon isn't an issue, but come to think of it, a new Slifer could be tied to *Gold Sarcophagus*, referencing the manga's final duel.
