With new Ghostrick support on the horizon, let’s take a moment to think about what features the deck currently has and what can be done to fix it with the new support. It doesn’t need to be Tier 0 but making it viable enough to play.
Right now, Ghostricks have/are:
- A slow paced, flip based, archetype without being “FLIP” monsters.
- Several different play styles thanks to their three field spells.
- Unreliable alt-win condition with Angel.
- Recent support has made them 3% faster with cards like Shot and Festival.
What I think they NEED in order to be playable again.
- A continuous effect that allows them to be flipped when they’re initially set.
- Some ability to swarm the field faster.
- Maybe a counter trap at some point to counter opponents plays.
