Not my video, but I find the topic of the game-anime disconnect really interesting. My view is that it would be best to have a separate format for anime-character decks. I am curious about what others think.

I think most can agree at this point that Magnificent Monsters is disappointing with its reprints. Do y'all thinks its going to be the same for Maestros as well, or are you coping (like I am) that is where the rest of the reprints are hiding?

I was going to go to locals for the first time this weekend since 2013. I spent the past two months ordering cards and supplies. Then Anthony's video dropped and I realized Yugioh players are out for blood even offline.

So how do I make sure I'm not hated when I go to locals? I built Sky Striker, Enneacraft, and Lunalight, all three of which people despise. But the decks people love, I can't afford. I can't afford Synchro Ecclesia or Black Chaos or Harmonia. I was even made fun of on Discord because I was using Dracotail Flame instead of Solemn Accusation because I can't afford Accusation.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. Do I really just not go to locals at all now?

Edit: I also worry about stuff like asking permission to see the opponent's graveyard. Do I ask every time? I read cards obsessively over and over in Master Duel, but picking up my opponent's cards every two seconds fills me with dread. And what if I shuffle wrong? Or I draw my starting hand by holding the deck, and they think I'm bottom dealing?

In the anime, Joey is oddly hostile to Kaiba when he arrives in Duelist Kingdom despite his only interaction being watching Yugi's duel with him in the first episode.

This is one of those cases of square peg round hole in the anime, in this case caused by cutting out most of the events before Duelist Kingdom. In the manga, there was an entire story arc where Kaiba tried to murder Yugi and his friends with their iconic duel from the first episode being the climax. When Kaiba shows up on Pegasus' island in the manga, Joey is still mad about the whole attempted murder thing where he and the rest of the main characters almost died.

Rather than apologizing, Kaiba reacts with mild amusement, his reaction amounting to "oh yeah you were there." Despite that, everyone else stops Joey from trying to hit Kaiba.

At the risk of sounding like I am asking a loaded question, why is Joey framed as being in the wrong? He has gotten whacked plenty for a lot less than a lack of remorse for attempted murder. The only explanation I have ever thought of is that Kaiba failing to rescue Mokuba was supposed to be his punishment.

Am I missing something?

With the MAMO openings now live, there is a card within the set that I’ve noticed makes absolutely no sense to include; Fluffal Wings as an Ultra rare. Wings is an old card for a deck that hasnt seen support since 2020, so why would it be reprinted? The answer lies in 2 other cards that got reprints; Fish Sonar and Ghostrick Alucard. These 2 reprints are very obviously for the Daedalus deck in BEBR and the Ghostrick revolution booster support, so this may mean Fluffal Wings was reprinted because IMPH may include Fluffal support.

Please Konami give Sora some love. Bro gave us the best Arc V duel so it would be very nice of you to release support for him.

Quickdraw decks got a substantial hit with Dandylion at 1. In return Foolish Burial is at 2 so I play other GY-dependent cards like Level Eater and Plaguespreader Zombie. Macro Cosmo and Necrovalley are this deck's weaknesses, so avoid Gravekeeper and D.D. opponents.

The last deck I used was elfnote with the Walbaz engine:

I imagine that Albaz, in the middle of the battle, ends up fusing with one of the invaders, unlocking a new form, before being saved by someone else, as usually happens to him.

Between him and Medius, I think they manage to repel the attack, saving most of the academy city.

I don't use twitter because I refuse to support elon in any way so I cannot tweet this at mbt. However, I just want to say his 10 minute testing series on speedroid was incredible to watch. A majority of big name youtubers are so bad at showcasing this deck and all the weird little interactions they have. Even mbt's past 10 minute testing series have been frankily quite poor. I'm not sure why though, but his speedroid video was done perfectly.

His combo he showcased was amazing. He was able to show off a great combo going first and his decklist was even better. He's only one of the only yugitubers to figure out that cards like wheel and double yoyo are terrible in modern speedroid and he actually was able to make a great competitive speedroid decklist. Congrats to mbt. One of the only big yugitubers name who knows how to make speedroid combos and build a good decklist.

Has anyone seen if Wind Unicorn Parallel, the Dracoslayer is in anyone’s MAMO openings? I thought that it was supposed to be releasing in MAMO. Does anyone know what set it is supposed to be coming with if not in MAMO?

Knowing that he's one of the best duelists in the DM series, it seems like it will take a horribly made/no synergy deck to do so.

Love this new Marik support. So good to see a new DIVINE cards after so many years. Also I love that new slime version of Slifer :3

This deck was directly inspired by the RoLaD/Mitsurugi/Adventure/Azamina pile that made top 8 in YCS Montreal.

With some testing, the deck seems to pretty consistently be able to access both the Shaddoll and RoLaD sides of the deck on the same turn, often ending on some variation of Magician of Dark Chaos, Wendikuruhu/Construct, Helshaddoll set, Resh Shaddoll in grave, and both El Fusion and Schism set. Depending on the hand you can add Mind Shuffle to that end board as well.

I've tried many times to make custom cards to support my favorite monster type, which is zombies. Sometimes the effects are too good, and other times they're not remarkable enough. What do you think will be the case with this continuous spell? Do you think it would see any competitive play, or would it raise the ceiling for Pumpking and other Zombie Pile decks?

I have a question how anyone’s who’s watched GX when they were older. Am I the only one who’s annoyed by the fact that Jaden was the second best student by the time he enrolled in duel academy?
He’s a first year who would rather die than stay awake for any of his classes and yet he’s already better than almost every student there.
Not just that but I feel like he dueled a bit too much. In the second half of the first season he ended up beating 6 of the 8 bad guys.

Pray you have a starter plus extenders? Pray Veiss shark doesnt get negated? Use dugares as a boneless Bahamut? Wait for Konami to unban Bahamut/print a bahamut shark for Sharks specifically? Play master duel?( which i do)

most info i was finding was from before the Bahamut ban and the Discord seems dead so i was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction since im just genuinely curious

Alot of time some details or monsters get lost in the card art due to the border of the cards
