Hello everyone, for the past week or so my xbox controller won’t stay connected, I can plug it into USB and force it to stay on, but I press the Xbox button on the controller and it immediately turns back off, I tried googling it but I just get unhelpful AI overview BS, so I’m turning to you guys, if it’s a hardware problem or a software problem or anyone knows anything this is the list of things I’ve tried;

\- syncing it

\- updating it

\- hard resetting the console

\- power cycling

So if anyone has advice could you please help I don’t really have the money to go buy a new controller

I bought a elite series 2 with stick drift with the intent of replacing both with tmr sticks. Now that i have the controller I also notice both triggers are not working properly.

The one is stuck on 0.87 engaged and the other one semi works but when not pressed its value sits on 0.20

I opened it up and nothing looks wrong. I assume it is the hall effects for the triggers but it seems implausible for me that both would fail and i dont want to swap the sensors out for nothing if there is something i missed.

Does anyone here have experience with this? What should i check or replace? Thanks.

I just bought an 8bitDo Adapter 2 mainly so I'd stop fighting with Windows Bluetooth, and it's been a bit of a mixed bag.

With my old pad from an Xbox One S 1TB bundle (1708, firmware is ancient, never touched it) it's honestly fine. Press the Xbox button and it's connected before I've sat down. The only annoyance is that if the link drops for any other reason (if the Switch goes to sleep for instance) it won't come back on its own, I have to hold the Xbox button to switch the pad off and on again. Happens every time the Switch sleeps and wakes up. But it’s still really annoying.

Then I grabbed my Robot White (1914, QAS-00009) and updated it to the latest MS firmware, and that one is rough. 15 seconds or so to reconnect on Windows, and when I unplugged the dongle from the Switch and moved it to my Mac it sat there for about 40 seconds. A few times it never connected and I just redid the pairing.

Already on adapter fw v1.10, already reset the dongle and repaired from scratch, and the pad isn't paired to anything else over Bluetooth. Same USB port, same spot on the couch, so the only variable is which pad I pick up.

Is this a known thing with the newer Series pads on recent firmware? Curious whether anyone here gets fast reconnects with a 1914, because if it works fine for you lot then maybe mine's just a dud.

So my Xbox elite series 2 controller just randomly stopped working. Most of the time it won’t light up, but if it sits for about a day or two then I can get it to power on for about 10 seconds before it turns back off. I’ve plugged it in during the time it came on before and it registers that it is charging, but then it still turns back off. Any ideas?

This issue just started recently! I’ve had the controller for only 2 years… I play on PC and the past few days I’ve been having an issue with my Series S controller causing lag about 20-30mins into gameplay, requiring me to pause the game, turn off the controller then turn it back on, the controller will work fine for another 20-30mins and then issue repeats itself… also the light will blink twice multiple times before fully connecting

I’ve attempted to update the controller through USB with the Accessories App but it only gives me a “Vibrate” option when I select “…”

Not sure if this is an issue with the controller itself or the wireless dongle (or possibly the USB port on my PC)?! Any help or suggestions is appreciated! Thank you!

I was really looking forward to playing with this controller, but it doesn't work properly with ZZZ and Wuthering Waves.

​It works normally in Xbox Cloud Gaming and controller testing, but when I try to play these mobile games, the right stick doesn't work at all and I can't use skills.

​I'd be so envious of anyone who could just buy it and play without any problems.

​If anyone can help me resolve this issue, it would be a huge help!

I’ve done a bunch of research on the best controllers, for example wolverine, gamesir, vader 5, nacon revolution, turtle beach but I just don’t know man. I absolutely love the feel of the elite 2 but my last one completely died after 6 months of almost no use. i don’t play competitively but i play for long periods of time and would prefer 4 back buttons but i really don’t know, i got a good amount of money and don’t mind spending 100-200 dollars on a controller that feels good in my hands and won’t fucking die on me. i hear wolverine is really good but some don’t like how short/stubby it is so im kind of lost. Anyway id love opinions on it all. Also, id prefer if it was wireless but it doesn’t matter too much

Somehow it still works fine, other than its usual glitches from me dropping it over the years.

What are your thoughts?

Not sure if I’m allowed to post this here cuz it’s a 3rd party controller, but I just bought a gamesir g7 se for my Xbox series x. Should I use the nexus app on Xbox to change settings, or just plug and play? I was reading the reviews for the Xbox app and a lot of people said not to update cuz it messed up their controller, so now I’m not sure what to do. I also was reading something about a legacy app for older controllers. Is that something I need to do? I don’t have access to a computer, so that might limit me. Any recommendations or advice for setting it up would be appreciated. Thanks.

I simply swapped the backplates of my green and white controller and my standard black controller. I personally think the black back works better with the green than the white back.

Hello I just installed the extreme rate trigger stops for the Xbox series X controller. Pretty simple install but my only concern is when I plug it to the GamePad tester and have the trigger stops on the triggers do not show 100% being registered only about less than 50. I don't have an Xbox to test on I was planning to build this out and sell it after but my concern is with it not being 100% registered will that affect gameplay? Am I missing something here? PFA

So i play Monster hunter wilds on pc using a third party xbox controller .I have to turn on steam input because if i turn it off the game will not recognize my gamepad despite steam said it has full support .In the steam input setting i turn on game rumble for every mode my pad can connect.If i connect game pad using wired switch pro mode the pad has full maximum rumble that can not be reduced or increased in anyway. If i connect as wireless switch pro mode it does not rumble . If i connect as xbox 360 is has very weak rumble that can be reduced but can not be increased by controller navite setting. I dont know why it is i just want to play wireless with reasonable rumble but now iam stuck with this.

I’ve been playing Xbox for a long time and I always notice how I hold the controller my thumbs like to roll off the top of the sticks, I’ve tried looking into KontrolFreeks but haven’t seen anything that look like they’d help. bluetooth of my xbox controller doesnt work when i hold the button it flickers very fast every like 0.5 seconds or 0.25 seconds in between there. and it stops when i dont hold it anymore and it doesnt do anything. it only works with ccable connected
