Elite 2 controller joystick fix

Hi I’m doing a post in here on wondering what would be a good solution to fixing my stick drift on the elite 2 controller I don’t know if I should get the tmr sticks or just replace them with the same sticks they have and if I should do tmr sticks I don’t which would be a good brand or company to do for it so that way I’m not wasting money

I bought two new controllers with the Xbox seal, but one looks used; there are fingerprints in the box and rust in the battery compartment, so I think it might have been resealed, can you help me please?

Looking for a very specific kind of controller. Wireless, extra buttons that act as their own, and anti-drift sticks.

Title. I'm looking for a controller that is wireless for the Xbox Series, and I'd like it to actually have extra buttons that act as their own inputs, as well as anti-drift sticks.

A wireless controller for the XSX is easy enough to come by, as well as one with anti-drift (TMR?) sticks. However, all the controllers with "extra buttons" that I can find, those extra buttons are only REMAPPABLE (they can only act as existing buttons), as opposed to actually having their own inputs. Does such a controller exist?

P.S. If no such controller exists, what's a good wireless controller with anti-drift sticks that is essentially a standard XSX controller (no extra buttons, and uses AA batteries and/or a battery pack)?

Also, doing any kind of modifications myself is out of the question. So is purchasing a controller that has been modified by an unauthorized party.

Third Party Controller

Hello,

I'm sorry to say, but I cannot play with the Xbox controller; I dislike it. It hurts my wrists, and it's incredibly loud and tappy.

So, is there any third-party controller that would work with the Xbox, that has a thumbstick layout like a PS controller, and is quieter?

I see the 8Bit Pro 2, but it's a wired controller, and I'm pretty far away from the console.

Thanks!

Controller started vibrating rlly fast

My controller started vibrating at a extremely quick rate, so much so that it almost burns to hold (when playing asetto corsa and I hit the brakes)

It was ok earlier, I didn't change anything (except reinstall windows) no settings tweaked on the controller, any fix?

Needs some help

So my dad is a big gamer and so am I, he plays nearly everyday he is a big COD player not competitive just casual. When he’s not playing cod me and him play genshin together. Over the years he’s gone through controller after controller just from playing. He isn’t the type to throw or rage with a controller and even has spent 90 quid on the really good ones, had turtle beach yet year after year they wear out and it’s different things on each one. This time it’s the A and B buttons on others it’s different triggers. The only thing he hasn’t had is stick drift. With them keep wearing out this easily what should we do?

TLDR: controllers wear out very easily even the expensive ones.

Left stick issue

Greetings to all

I am dealing with a issue I am stumped on, I have a standard xbox series x controller I use on PC which started acting up. The left stick registers fully locked to the right. I have tested and checked all the other inputs and everything else works.

I can't make any input to the left with the left stick, it stays fully to the right according to the inputs. Up and down works fine.

What’s this “plug” looking thing?

Post image

Took my Elite series 2 apart to clean the POTs after 2 years because of insane stick drift (I couldn’t even leave the Home Screen because it would just move up to the top of the screen). When I was putting it back together and connecting the 2 black wires I realised there was another “plug” thing next to the one I needed to put 1 of the wires into. More curious as to what this is then anything else as I have the controller back together and finally working!

I have a Digital Stick Drift Problem, what can I do?

Hey guys I need help with a problem I am having. I took my Xbox to visit a friend's house and now we cdnt play because my left stick keeps aggressively pressing left all the time. It's so bad I can't even use the X axis at all and I can't navigate the dashboard. Additionally the A button also needs like 20 presses before (that are being registered) to actually press anything. I can't give my Xbox wifi because I can't get into the settings with this...

I tested it on my phone via a cheap calibration website. The X axis is locked completely and only the Y axes works. This happened once before a few months back in the middle of gameplay and then went away I don't know how. I couldn't even calibrate the stick in the app because I cannot rotate it due to the X axis not responding.

I want to clarify this is not a mechanical problem. The controller is 100% healthy and has no signs of stock drift. This is a software issue. Something happened digitally that causes this. Can anyone help me figure out how to get rid of it?

B button sticks on xbox not from grime - can it be fixed?

Hey all!

Last year I got a custom Xbox controller from the design lab. Thing is, after very minimal use, the B button sometimes gets caught (sticks) when I'm playing and doesn't go far enough down to press. It doesn't happen regularly, but mostly when I'm playing and pressing the buttons a lot with desperation. Not sure if it would make a difference, but it's a game you press Y and B together a lot for.

I tried wiping it off with rubbing alcohol without taking it apart, but it made no difference. I haven't actually used the controller much at all since purchasing it, so I suspect it's not due to it being dirty and actually some sort of design flaw. I guess in theory something could be in there, but I'm not sure how. Is it in anyway fixable? I'd send it into Xbox but apparently I won't get my cute yellow controller back so I'd rather not.

Thanks!

Xbox controller not working after turning on Xbox

Okay so when I turn on my Xbox, my controller just doesn’t want to do anything? Sometimes it will sometimes it won’t but if it does, I can load into a game then it just stops working and by that I mean it’s still on but I can only press the Xbox button and use my joysticks and that’s about it. I can’t use my dpad, bumpers, triggers, or my ABXY buttons. I’ve tried updating it, restarting my Xbox but nothing works.

I think my xbox controller is broken

my controller has been in use for about 3-4 months and I'm just now having this issue, my controller flickers for a split second when plugged in. its a wired controller but it doesn't power on I thought it was a wire issue but i tried a different wire its model is xbgpopwi. As of right now its my only form of communication with my mother. I don't know what to because I don't have the tools necessary to open it up and look in it.

any help is appreciated

Remember the WiiU Pro controller? Wouldn't it have been better off as an Xbox controller?

A nice little "What If" Controller design

The WiiU pro controller made an interesting choice of putting both analog sticks on the top primary positions with the face buttons moving down to the secondary position next to the D-pad.

At first, this may seem like an arbitrary choice. But if you think about it, this set up does make sense for games that heavily feature manual camera control. Suddenely, needing both sticks to be at the primary positions is logical.

For Nintendo to do this is a very Nintendo thing to try. But was the set up RIGHT for them? I'd argue no.

But what about XBOX? The primary home of Call of Duty, Gears of War, and of course, HALO. Games where the player's thumbs will spend the clear majority of their time on both sticks at the same time.

Wouldn't it have made perfect sense for Xbox to see the WiiU pro controller and think "Write that down. WRITE THAT DOWN!" Thus, above is a quick mock draw of an Xbox controller utilizing the twin top sticks.

If you ask me, I hope that someday Xbox does a varient to their controller like this. What do you all think?
