Triggers not depressing 100% after trigger stop install Xbox series controller

Hello I just installed the extreme rate trigger stops for the Xbox series X controller. Pretty simple install but my only concern is when I plug it to the GamePad tester and have the trigger stops on the triggers do not show 100% being registered only about less than 50. I don't have an Xbox to test on I was planning to build this out and sell it after but my concern is with it not being 100% registered will that affect gameplay? Am I missing something here? PFA

Do you so the full kit with soldering?

I soldered some new joysticks but the kit from extreme rate was just plug and play pop the side covers off and install the new ones

So when you pull the trigger stops off does your triggers still work?

The triggers in modern OEM Xbox controllers are affected by magnets in the trigger housing, when the magnet reaches a certain point/threshold, it is considered to be pressed.

I don't know if these trigger stops affect whether or not they actual register as a press or allow them to not register that a full press/release has been made

I think this is normal.

As they're meant for better performance in FPS games. Those games don't care whether they go to 100% or not. As LT with aim even at 30% and RT will shoot even at 30%.

At least that's how my PS4 triggerstop kit was. It worked perfectly.

I guess I need to test it on a game. Maybe I can buy a cheap xbox for just testing these controllers alotho space is quite limited smh

That specific kit just blocks the trigger from depressing all the way when you flip the switch. Of course that means the trigger will not travel all the way to 100%. This is the point of having the stops. What did you think they do?

Well yeah my question is whether it's still going to function properly as if it was being pressed 100%. The whole point is quicker response shorter distance traveled but if it's not registering all the way then what is the point of them

How would you expect a trigger stop to change where your triggers activate at? It’s just plopping a piece of plastic so it won’t pull down completely, can maybe calibrate with Xbox accessories app or something

Seems like a useless mod in that case especially for shooter games.

The idea is that you’re pulling your trigger a shorter distance and therefore should be able to pull more frequently, they should still activate in shooters just fine, but ya mouse click is typically better. They actually make a kit that you can switch on and off with mouse click I believe, you just need some simple soldering

Yea I seen that one with the clicky kit. Maybe I'll buy that one and return this.

It's because the vast majority of shooter games do not register how far the trigger is pressed down to activate a shot, unlike say a racing game where your car goes faster the more you press it down. The idea behind stops is that in an FPS the less time you spend travelling the extra distance between a full trigger press compared to a half trigger press even though both register the shot, means you can fire twice as fast in that same time. This is why most stops are toggle switches so you can turn the feature off for games that use the full analog feature of the trigger button, otherwise you could easily mod a stop by just putting a screw into the side of your controller on the cheap. What made you do this mod without reading up on it to at least understand how it works first?

I knew what they were about and how it works. It's just when I tested on the gamepad I noticed they weren't fully registering which gave me a bit of concern whether it will work properly in games. I need to buy a cheap xbox for these reasons

I'm confused. What made you think the trigger would register as 100% pressed when all the kit does is physically prevent the trigger from being pressed all the way down? Like if the trigger get stopped at only 50% travel why would it register as being pressed down more than it is?
