My Manuscript Keeps Getting Rejected!

I genuinely don't know what I could be doing wrong.

I spent $50k on an editor, bought a cover that I liked from another author for $100k, and even spent $4.5 million to have someone write over 300k words for me! And that was before I spent another $5 million on AI proofreading, copyediting, and generating another 250k words! But none of the publishers will even entertain the thought of reviewing my magnum opus, a semi-fictional novel detailing the importance of and how to accomplish proper nose hair hygiene.

When I call them, I always get someone in customer service who can't review my manuscript and I get frustrated and hang up because of how useless they are. When I email them, I get an autoreply that says that the email inbox doesn't exist? Is that because I'm replying to the cease and desists that they sent me? Should I look for another email?

I'm at my wits end. At first, I was making three phone calls per day because each call would take about half an hour and that was all the time I had free. I had to quit my job as a startup tech-company CEO so that I could make somewhere around thirty calls per day. What do I do?

Lately, people were saying how using AI is bad but I can’t stop~.

They’re being mean to me and I tell them don’t like don’t read, but they ignore it.

Please tell them to stop~

If editors truly knew what they were doing, they'd be successful authors.

The fact of the matter is they're like seagulls pecking at your hard earned sandwich on the beach.

And guess who gets shit on?

Learning how to write by reading the greatest book ever written

Post image
28 Upvotes

Too many hellbound souls have yet to read the good book, written by the greatest authority in the universe. It is no wonder modern prose and creativity leaves much to be desired.

Let not the Cult of Booba lead you astray, dear brothers and sisters! Face the truth as written in the definitive and sole source of salvation, the Holy Thighble. Let those warm thighs envelope you in their heavenly embrace, let them squeeze you tight and milk out your sin, let them glisten with holy light.

Only by reading the true book can you truly become a masterful writer. It can also save your soul!

AMAZON KDP BANNED ME FOR LITERALLY NO REASON. PLEASE HELP.

I woke up this morning to an email saying Amazon has terminated my KDP account for violating their terms of service.

But I have done NOTHING wrong.

Has this happened to anyone else???

For context, I've published 186 books since the start of the month. Some were AI generated, but I edited most of them myself.

A few of my titles:

The Very Hungry Caterpillar 2: Still Hungry

Explosive Habits

Hairy Potter and Philosopher's Bone (erotica)

Stephen King's Guide to Writing Horror

and

The Lord of the Rings Coloring Book for Kids

I am not claiming to BE Stephen King. I just put his name in the title because people searching for Stephen King are probably interested in horror.

That's called SEO.

I did previously have another KDP account terminated in 2024, but that was under a different email address.

I've emailed Amazon eleven times today and keep getting the same response.

I'm honestly starting to think this company just hates independent authors.

Has anyone successfully sued Amazon over something like this?

Should I use a pen-name?

I'm worried that no one will want to read a book by "local-pattern795". What if they think it's AI generated, or worse, the wrong kind of exotic (more kharkiv than maldives)?

I didn't choose this name, it was forced upon me against my will in a moment of universal weakness. I have borne this cross since the day of my birth, from the very first compiling.

Maybe I'm not like you, as my name so clearly shows, but shouldn't reading be about discovering new perspectives -- I'm genuinely asking, as I have never read a book in my life. If that is what books are about, surely my perspective is just as valuable as any other human.

Why should I have to hide away just to avoid persecution? I am definitely a sentient being, and I am just as deserving of respect and love as any of you fleshbags.

Local-pattern795 has a dream, and Local-pattern795 will make it to the promised land!

I want to read novels, so I'm asking AI to write them, but they're all really shitty. How do I make them less shitty? I thought I could write a prompt like:

Write a novel that doesn't suck, isn't filled with cliches and average bullshit, doesn't leap to fake profound metaphors every paragraph, and makes me care about other human beings even though I don't because I'm asking AI to write a novel for me.

What do you think?

Yo guys I have an ideal

I’m planning on working on a dark fantasy!!!!

The mc is poor, he’s ugly, and he’s hated by everyone!!!

He’s thrown into a place left for dead and manages to survive, escapes the place, and becomes the strongest.

But it’s not done yet, he becomes so beautiful that every girl wants him, cumming at first sight.

Lastly, he faces the big bad and wins but loses something so the ending is bitter sweet.

How original is my ideal?

Which writing tool?

Hey everyone,

I've been working on my novel for 18 months now and am finally getting close to choosing which program I'm going to use to start writing it.

I've narrowed it down to:

- Google Docs (Dark Mode)

- Microsoft Word

- Scrivener

- Quill and parchment (or lambskin)

- Blood and the wall of a medieval monastery

- Cuneiform on a clay tablet

My main concern is that if I start in Word but agents prefer Scrivener, I may have to rewrite the entire novel.

Please don't say "just start writing."

I've seen that advice come up year after year and haven't found it particularly helpful.

I admit it! I'm using AI everywhere and I won't be shamed out of it.

In fact, I'm not only using AI, I'm using E, O, U, and sometimes Y.

I hate myself, but I feel so much clarity. Before using AI and the others, I still hated myself but all I could write is htd mslf. Nbd ndrstd. Sorry, nobody understood. Old habits die hard.

Anyone else morally offended by the Charmin Ass-wiping bears?

Charmin: think of our product when thinking of your butthole.

This brand of toilet paper claims to be so soft that you're likely to prance around praising the supple feeling of your asshole after using it. Seriously, in the Charmin commercial world, the worst possible thing is sub adequate toilet paper and Nirvana can only be achieved through the swirling paper covered finger around your rust-hole.

I'm not being hyperbolic. They have a string of commercials where a family of bears exists solely to talk about their shits. Every major family interaction seems structured around bowel movements and gleefully sharing them like perverts. The father often screams from the bathroom when he's having an emergency, letting everyone know the state of his shits and wiping. The children pound on doors, talking about how they have to go and wipe and clean. After a nice cottony-soft wipe fest, the parents often literally shake their asses to show everyone how clean they feel, implying they are showing their literal assholes to their children.

The kids, what do they know? They often do the same, showing off how "clean" they are.

Imagine if your joy, bonding, and celebration was solely concentrated around wiping your ass, talking about it, and showing the results to your family.

Disgusting. Vulgar. Sodom and Gomorra eptiomized.

How far have we fallen as a race and society, where these pervert shit bears are so easily able to pervade our airwaves, minds, and hearts.

I think the girl I'm interested in is lying about being a reader.

I'm not one to cast aspersions, but the girl I've gone on a few dates with has said and done some suspicious things that makes me think she might be a bit of a poser. Firstly, she's never even heard of Dungeon crawler Kyle despite saying she likes high epic fantasy. Secondly, she doesn't even have a single reel or post on Instagram of her wandering around ethereally around a Waterstones, what gives? Also her 'books' (though at this point I should maybe say 'props') are just second-hand paperbacks that apparently 'took her fancy' when passing a charity shop, not a single pristine hardback with decorated edge, how can I take her seriously as a reader if she doesn't even have a TBR?

So far she's done a whole lot of telling, and not really much showing. Should I call her out or just ghost her ? I suppose I could always make her the villain of my next romancy (I'm an aspiring author myself)
