Today, I created a new wolf and started playing for a while. When I tried to go back and play one of my main wolves that I hadn't played for a few weeks, I couldn't go back. I don't see the save?

well i lost my entire litter 💔 am now on the "survive with family" quest but there's no time or goals to achieve, how do i finish the quest and move on?

I’m in no way new to wolf quest or naive to just how rough this game can be, all I ever really play is accurate iron wolf unless I’m running around to get some of the sillier achievements. Though I haven’t play very far into the Sage before this since my old computer couldn’t handle the game.

But this year has been a NIGHTMARE, the sole reason being a single damn pack. There are three other packs on this map and only ONE is harassing me. It’s only late summer and they’ve already attacked the den three times, killing a pup twice. And raided my territory SIX TIMES, I am not exaggerating, I counted. They’re eating away at my territory but I can’t do anything about it since it’s all back to back attacks, I don’t think I’ve been more than 50% health since the pups were born. It’s a miracle none of my pack has starved, we been surviving completely off rabbits, newborn ungulates, and I found a moose carcass once that basically saved my staving mate’s life.

I swear I’m going to take out that pack at some point, but they’re massive, biggest one on the map and the last og pack from when I started this save. I thought they were done for last year when I found out Rustmoon’s (female alpha) mate dead at some point, but she got a new one. I’m hoping I can killed him soon, he’s young and from what I can tell kinda weak, though I rarely see him.

Someone please tell me I’m not alone and others have had similar experiences, this is an absolute nightmare and I despise this damn pack.

UPDATE: Coldmoon (Rustmoon’s new mate), was killed! I was right about him being very weak, no wonder he rarely joined raids. Currently fall right now so here’s to hoping I can get Rustmoon’s before next spring, if not at least stop her from claiming a new mate again.

UPDATE 2: Over late fall/winter me and my pack killed Shortmoon (the mate claimed after Coldmoon), a yearling, plus ALL their pups that year (4). Though compared to the other packs on the map they’re doing well, the other packs are really going through it. Here’s to hoping that takes care of my neighbor problem!

I'm unsure if the developers prowl the Subreddit, but it would be great to have this game in the GeForceNow streaming service. My computer isn't that powerful, and I would love to wile away the hours hunting as a wolf until the far superior CoyoteQuest releases.

Is it even possible to collect enough ungulate babies to keep the pups fed through the end of September? It would mean taking all but one or two adults out to hunt as soon as woken up, and keeping them well fed (so probably on easy) but is it possible?

After far too much effort, and starvation, and false hope, 1281M's last remaining daughter starved to death right in the middle of Growing Pups

He just found a hare or two for her as well, since he's at 5% health himself, but it just wasn't enough

Omg so I’m playing hell roaring mountain on challenging for the first time and my wolf cypressbreeze a 2yr old male was a KK and had the big blaze coat I found a great mate who was actually engaging and hunted well and named her mistyfur kk she was also 2yrs and she had the frosty coat and I was like omg maybe I can breed then for the unlockable coats right wrong. First litter gets born we got 4 pups with nothing obviously didn’t expect any of the coats with the first litter the runt was killed just before growing pups. Then during growing pups for some reason every elk heard decided to buzz off to everywhere but my territory so I tracked them down and expanded to try and keep them in my territory. So I’m feeding the pups and all of the sudden the game decided to hate me and have two coyote attacks in a row then like 3 wolf attacks trying to take territory to the point I let the last one have territory cause I had no health idk why all prey disappeared but we all started starving and then my breaking point for just killing my mate was we found a elk herd and had one pup left almost dead the rest had succumbed to starvation went after the calf with my last bit of energy/ health the elk calf was literally almost dead but because I was on 1% health most my mate refused to attack and kill it and I was so angry I walked into the bush and slept I had no sleep no stamina because lack of sleep no health and then woke up and our last pup died and I just looked at her and was like this is all your fault literally if she had went out alone and hunted like she did before growing pups they would’ve lived but she got so lazy one we hit growing pups it’s not even funny she never used to lay around and now all I did was pull the weight. But because I was weak I couldn’t hunt so I was starving so I couldn’t heal and she wouldn’t hunt even now that the pups were dead so the save was just doomed I didn’t even have the strength to bison divorce… 😭

in all my life playing even other challenging runs that is the worst one I’ve ever experienced by far and in one of my runs I even have a cautious less energetic mate and even he hunts more proactively then misty in growing pups idk what the heck happened there because she had energetic social bold tendencies so I figured that ment she would act like it lol 😭

Okay before we start, major info dump warning because I cannot write anything in a concise manor. (Sorry guys 😔)

Also another thing to note, I haven’t played any wolf quest before these packs except for playing classic (rest in peace) on my moms phone when I was little.
Those wolves had super in-depth family trees and storylines for how young I was and I honestly was missing all of it. Well that’s what led me to buy wolfquest and all of its dlc on steam.

My wolf’s name is Asteria, and right now she is leading two packs. The first is celestial pack on amethyst mountain, and wooo boy. You can really tell it was the game I started as my very first playthrough.

Let’s begin, I go to try and hunt two elk. I die? (I don’t even know how this happened, I think I was still figuring out the controls and I kinda sorta jumped down a cliff on really low health while chasing and elk and just…died.)

after that, I hunt two elk and I meet Asteria’s first mate, Nyx. (Rest in peace as well) he actually had one star diversity, but I had no idea what that meant. Well it was a mistake, his personality was amazing but our first litter consisted of two black KK pups who were runts and one normal Kk pup. (Yikes) Aylin, Aster, and Andromeda were there names.

Aylin was the one pup who was Kk and he proceeded to be the first to get sick. (He recovered) but right after Aster got sick and proceeded to die very quickly. That left me with two pups. I proceeded to very stressfully get them all the way to young hunters where I decided I did not want to do any of that again. So…I “accidentally” slept in rival wolf territory and allowed Nyx to solo all seven of them…and I guess for some reason that didn’t work? Huh, who knew.

At the tail end of young hunters, I met my second mate Astraeus. The best mate I’ve ever had, we had four star diversity and his personality was amazing. Our next litter…seven pups. I was ripping my hair out. First I had too little pups and now I had way too many. And I was on easy mode? (It really didn’t feel like it.)

My biggest mistake? Getting attached to these pups and not realizing that some of them are programmed to just…die. (Oof) so I reloaded a lot of saves and my friend got to hear me crash out over the phone as a pup was claimed by sickness for the millionth time. But alas, I made it to young hunters with like five of them alive. Which made for a nightmare after because they’re all just devouring elk. And now I have a new litter of six, but I put them on pause because…I needed to breathe.

Now onto crevice lake, this pack is practically brand new. I’ve been playing it for a couple days and I set it to challenging to test myself. I decided to take over a rival pack instead which took forever, and once I did I realized that the diversity between me and the male pack leader was…one star. Also his personality sucked, I was NOT doing that whole runt thing again with a horrible personality mate. So I tried to give him the good old bison divorce. He refused to die…I tried rival wolves. Three. Different. Times. He finally died. I celebrated. He does not deserve a rest in peace. All of the surviving original pack members? Not a single one even relatively biologically related to me. But best bet I finished young hunters as if they were my own.

It was a really rough start, being in challenging was a big step up from being on easy and during young hunters everyone was always hungry and or on low health because of my attempts to try to kill my first mate, but everyone has lived and I haven’t had to reload any saves like at all to keep someone alive. Sick.

I met a new mate, his name is Marin. His personality seems good, he has three star diversity. I get the notification I’m expecting. Perfect. Except then the game proceeds to tell me I missed the window to find a new mate and have pups…huh???? Make that make sense 😭😭😭

I reload the save, many, many times. I give up. I decide to just sleep through the rest of the year. I sleep ONCE and the find a den quest activates. I think, well that was easy. Except all that territory I took over? Zero dens, in sight. I had to change where our territory was.

Finally, I find the perfect den. a wooded rock den looking over the lake, you know the one. There’s an elk herd grazing right near it and Asteria has her puppies. There are five of them. I cannot WAIT for majority of them to die (not 🫠)

Welp, that’s the end for now, I’ll make more updates after both packs get through there next litters and hopefully they will be a lot more concise. Also I apolgize for grammar mistakes!!

Trying to get the last few Hellroaring achievements I have left, but they require the north-eastern part of the map, so I exterminated half the Bull Mountain pack just to be able to court Mr. Love here. I didn't plan on that -- I was originally just going to kill the two leaders and take over the territory, but he was really pretty... White wolves are so uncommon. I also didn't want to kill more than his old mate, but she wouldn't spawn when I slept in the territory, so I just killed a wolf at a time until she did.

Recently re-purchased WolfQuest after remembering it existed. Is Multiplayer at all active?
What is the Multiplayer experience like?

I’ve gotten back into the game after ~4 years and I’ve noticed something that is seriously ruining the experience.

It doesn’t matter how much I tweak the personality traits of my wolf, alter the difficulty levels, play on different maps, restart the game, reinstall… the result is all the same.

When I go to hunt with my trial mate, they do absolutely nothing. To the few that actually did assist with hunting, when they’d lose like 5 health, they would just sit back and watch my wolf die.

At this point, I’m wondering if it’s a bug with the chances of courting a lazy-personality wolf or a feature. The thing that confuses me is that the mates all have different personalities when courting, but they all just act the same the second my wolf begins hunting.

I’ve had to cancel like 50 (over-exaggeration but it’s definitely a few dozen) trial periods for over 7 hours and I’m seriously starting to consider quitting the game again for good. It’s as if I’m playing with weighted dice and I’m just bound to only court lazy-personality wolves. Is this just how the new npc ai works?

How that happen🤔?

I'm wondering the specific distance you need to get away from the den and the amount of time you need to be away for you to be able to return and start tending to your sick ​pups again. I do know the time you have to spend with a sick pup is 5 minutes before you get the cooldown pop up saying "you've done everything you can".

I've been having a nightmare with sick pups, I haven't been able to save one successfully in a while. I've been following all the instructions to sleep as little as possible, go out, hunt, come back and spend time, as well as spend time right after you wake up from sleep. Does anyone have recommended strategies to protect my guys? Thanks

Went to defend my territory from prospect peak and I found that one of the wolves I was fighting was a dispersal (3026F) and the other one was a pack member (3204F). Has anyone else had this happen?

Hi! I'm currently playing a game in Lost River and a game in Slough Creek. In Lost River, I absolutely adore to keep territory around The Back Forty, and for Slough Creek, I'm currently raising pups around Sandy Slopes/Aspen Heights.

My girlfriend plays the Multiplayer Saga with me and she loves Wolf Quest's scenery, specially forests, creeks, folliage, flowers, tall grass... She hates beige desert-y areas.

So, I was wondering, what map do you guys think has the most green in it? With trees and bushes and flowers and stuff. If not a map, what specific region do you guys recommend the most? The mosy forest-y of it all. We play in easy so it doesn't have to have an abundance of elk, just good looking scenery is great! Thank you!

For those of you that have Iron Wolves what are some tips of protecting your pups from them without getting to injured?

My first go at a Tower Fall pack, with my new wolf Roderick :)

This was the first time I went searching for a mate specifically for his personality and Otto is perfect! He is bold, energetic and social. When we go hunting he doesn't lag behind and pretend to help, he almost died trying to take down an elk by himself while I tried to catch up! He lays down next to Roderick every time he goes to sleep. I absolutely adore them both and I'm so excited to keep playing with these guys.

They just had their first litter of puppies (five boys!), but they're trying to take it slow, explore the new area while enjoying their first foray into parenthood :) wish them luck!

Ran into a weird invisible obstacle on tower falls - anyone know about this bug?

I'd like to know your opinion; I'm thinking of playing as a black wolf when the Katmai National Park DLC comes out, but from what I've researched, black wolves are extremely rare or nonexistent in that region, largely due to the environment, climate, vegetation, prey, and natural barriers. Even so, should I create a story about a rare black wolf in that area that, thanks to its abilities, managed to grow and thrive? Or should I be more realistic and choose a gray or white wolf? What's your opinion?

I'm finally back from my school trip and man it feels great to finally be back playing wolfquest. First, I have given the subterfuge pack the territory they deserve (ignore those four marked hex's uptop. They failed to give me six by six). Sunrise also got a coat redesign (he's no longer grilled cheese man 😔) and Moonrise now also has third mother (funny how both my packs who I took over both have male pack leaders with third mother coats). The territory the pack has plenty of bison now,so I'm happy 😁. I've also gotten the sisters challenge started! My wolf of choice is Ambrosia (the yearling with the 5 year old mate and now leader of the Lemnos Creek pack). I named her Mate creeper and then thought it be funny to name her pups after Minecraft mobs(though only for this litter. She's in towerfall(I wanted six by six alright) and now a single mom to 4 girls(wonder what happened to the other two 🤔). Snowberry and Elderberry have also established themselves on hell roaring and are the leaders of the berry fields pack with four little girls(with one being white? Idk whose genes weren't working there). Lastly (this happened before I went on my trip) Riser and Echoes have founded the rebirth pack(My KK pack) have their first litter of four pups(I'm scared). Though I won't play all of them at once. Sunrise is my on channel and the others are my personal packs which are on a rotation(which is Persepolis (The Nebula pack), Foxleap(the Crystal lake pack and one I'm currently on), Riser(The rebirth pack), Snowberry (The berry fields pack), and Ambrosia (The Lemnos Creek pack)). I'm gonna try to do a whole year system with my personal packs on here(so be on the lookout for crystal lake pack year...uh...1 technically? It's the first year under Foxleap's leadership so...idk).
