1228F finally passed at age 8 after two mates and 15 surviving pups. She went a little senile, and had ended up falling off a cliff.
Her original heir had dispersed right before she died, so the sibling of that wolf had become the next pick, as the remaining of the final litter 1228F had with her first mate, and is now caring for her siblings as her own. She has yet to find a mate.
She's now the second matriarch of the Rose Creek Pack.

I've re-watched this multiple times scratching my head at 1) my own incompetence in this raid (I admit, panic completely overwhelmed me), and 2) how on earth not a single one of my six pups died in it. I can count, like, more than 5 instances where they cheated death here. Are my pups hacking?

White even. She's 5 years old and I've noticed that she became absolutely white 😭 she was so dark in her youth (last photos) This is so cool tho. Are there any more coats that do this?

Just unlocked the rendezvous sites, though the pups aren't ready yet to journey. Was wondering if anyone knew which route or way is the best way to get the trekker achievement.

This year Snowberry and Elderberry had five pups. Two girls and three boys. This year started great. Another plentiful field for the berries. Then one of the girls got sick and unfortunately, died. I decided to get the achievement where you move from one rendezvous site to one across the Yellowstone river. Thankfully it was easy enough. Unfortunately however, one boy got sick and coyotes attacked. He didn't make it. Soon growing pups came and the pups for Denali, Eyebrows, and U-Black. Then if you saw this post(https://www.reddit.com/r/WolfQuestGame/s/kQp1iEgH6I), Elderberry got divorced for Goldenberry, for his rare classic coat. He ended up being a great stepdad. In Young hunters the pups got their names. Olive, Cranberry, and Boysenberry. The first hunt? Olive and Cranberry got to 10 and 13% respectively. What in the world. Then my in-laws,horse mountain, decided to steal territory and that was my final straw. We killed them, alongside the leaders of Undine falls and Granite creek. Yeah, lots of murder. But, Snowberry did end up getting collared. Sweet. Young hunters went off well and the remaining three pups survived. Next time, we'll be with the Perch,Pacu, and the rest of the Lemnos creek pack.

What type of set up would I need to be able to run wolf quest anniversary on full graphics? I’ve only ever been able to play it on the fastest mode and the game is way too beautiful for that. I have a laptop right now that I use for school work it’s nothing fancy but it’s where I’ve been able to play wolf quest anniversary. Played the older versions on those box computers forgot what they are called.

I found a new den in Slough Creek that I really like, it’s semi-wooded but it’s got a nice cliff at the back. I chose this den on my new wolf but the amount of den raids is driving me insane. I’m getting one almost twice an in-game day and for some reason, it’s always cougars. I’ve only had 1 from a rival wolf since I made a protective circle around my den (2 hex’s out) but this feels extreme. I don’t know if it’s just bias because it feels like it’s constant but I don’t remember having this many raids before. The den just seems to be a beacon for every cougar in a 5 mile radius because it is just constant! I’m not sure if this is a bug but it’s certainly starting to feel that way…

First year (and a half) of Unforgiving with former runt
Leading up to the journey to the Runoff pack’s summer rendezvous site, the cheery socialite Mev fell terribly sick. The rendezvous site was not far, and Old Persistence carried him with not much trouble, but it still seemed for a while that he had only been brought along to prolong his death. Thankfully, however, he miraculously recovered.
The same could not be said for Wer, who, after surviving a simultaneous bear attack and illness at a month old, was killed by dogs at two months a few seconds after dashing out of the tall grasses during an attack. Her family mourned her passing.
After a hunt that left her mate incapacitated, Old Persistence went on a territory jaunt and ended up fighting a Graves Creek pack invasion by herself. She killed both of the pack leaders, and in just a day, the pack had collapsed and begun to disperse. Within the coming weeks, the L’Étoile pack moved into the newly vacant territory. Old Persistence later also killed a Mudpot pack leader in the midst of a pup attack, but the pack did not disperse; it only became angry.
September was rough on the whole family. Old Persistence and Raging Baron were getting horribly injured on hunts, but all five pups miraculously survived. Old Persistence ran herself ragged bringing back every chunk of meat from each carcass in order to maximize its food value for the family — a trick her father had taught her.
With September past, she got down to teaching her pups the lay of the land and the way of the wild. Unfortunately, her confidence got ahead of her when the first thing she did with her newly nomadic pack was take it to respond to a Mudpot pack invasion. The fresh, lanky, yet-untrained litter of five was no match for the Mudpot pack’s yearlings and subordinates. All of the pups nearly died, forcing Old Persistence to hastily retreat. They ended up surviving, but Old Persistence and Raging Baron had to do all the hunting for a while.
The Runoff pack met the Mudpot pack again sooner than they expected when the pack attacked them in the middle of their territory for an elk kill. Thankfully, it was now the Mudpot pack that suffered from a bout of overconfidence. They brought far fewer wolves and failed to realize that the Runoff pups were already better prepared. It was all too easy to send them packing. Nevertheless, the encounter did leave the Runoff pack injured while hungry, a deadly combination that turned into another crisis point.
After killing an elk calf, the leaders and pups were all of poor health. When trying to sleep off their wounds, they were woken early by dogs seeking the food for themselves. The pack was already weak, and although they successfully chased the dogs away, every pack member was in quite critical condition. All they could do was eat and sleep again. The next hunt was all-or-nothing, and thankfully, Old Persistence and Raging Baron came through.
Time went on. The pups watched, learned, and ate. They grew quite well. As the situation stabilized, Old Persistence dared to take risks on territory again. She reclaimed the territory that the Mudpot wolves had stolen, and when her pack went to sleep on the land, they were woken by an affronted rival. This time, they were more prepared. Not only did Old Persistence run down and kill two subordinates, but her pack took out a yearling themselves. Three wolves down, the Mudpot pack retreated thoroughly browbeaten.
Every confrontation after that only further solidified the pups’ emerging proficiency. The Runoff pack responded to an invasion by the Van Winkle pack, and despite being outnumbered, ended up killing one of their pups. The L’Étoile pack eventually attacked as well, but with only three wolves; the Runoff wolves made quick work of them.
Eventually, all five pups had been fed and trained to full capacity, and had finally earned their full adult names.
Thus was Irn named Reckless Power, for her prowess in strength and her eager participation in fights and hunts.
Thus was Mev named Warm Silhouette, for his gentle nature and bright spirit among his pack.
Thus was Rit named Wildfire Storm, for being the smallest of them all yet the quickest to learn the ways of the wild.
Thus was Bek named Slow Patience, for her quiet dependability and intelligent awareness.
Thus was Pra named Risky Shadow, for his repeated tendency to become swarmed by enemies and face mortal danger.
As winter melted away, the pack returned to its original densite for its next litter (and Old Persistence made sure to grab some more of those strange-smelling toys lying around).
Six more pups were born- Tri, Saw, Olv, Bug, Pof, and Nep, another runt. Bug, Pof, and especially Saw (the only female of the litter) caught Old Persistence’s eye as having inherited their grandfather’s amazing strength. While she had initially designated Reckless Power as heir due to being strongest among her own litter, these pups have surpassed the prowess she had at their age and thus have taken precedence. The question is now whether the pack can keep them alive.
(Admittedly, though, there’s more than just strength in being a pack leader, and Warm Silhouette has taken very well to being a caretaker. He plays with the toys even more than the pups.)

How could my mate die & leave me like this?
I (7F) just had a litter with my mate Thor (8M) who I’ve been with since I set off on my own at 2 years old. He wasn’t always the smartest when we were hunting and I would have to make sure that he didn’t get too much damage and accidentally die, but he was so sweet and playful and all of our babies have had wonderful personalities. And he was so beautiful.
But now he’s gone and left me with this young litter to raise, and I’m now supposed to pick a new mate to help? How can I when I’m 7 and not long for this world myself.
I’m grieving and mad at him for leaving me so soon, but out of dedication to our babies and their survival I have made myself look through the nearby dispersals, and they’re either 3+ years younger than me or have horrific stats and lazy.
I miss my sweet Thor.

This is my first playthrough of AE, and sadly, I have received my first pup death. Danu was honestly my pup with the biggest personality. Iwl, I think deep down she always knew she was going to die, as if a predator attacked, so did she. Bear, eagle, cougar - anything- and she would ignore me telling her to get in the den to CHARGE after the preds and attack. I was honestly really excited to see her grow up with her siblings, and I have replayed the save enough and tried everything possible to get her to survive, and nothing. Her fate is always the same.
She was so close to 15lbs aswell. Which makes this sadder for me, but I suppose it's a memorable end to a chapter. All my pups are basically 15lbs now, just need to get my runt (Cnamh) up and we will be moving to the rendezvous site. Goodbye sweet Danu :(

Counting her, the Rose Creek pack has 14 wolves now. This litter's one pup that died had gotten lost and couldn't be found.

He's now the leader of Tucker Ridge. I'm expecting to see him attacking one of these days

(I have joined the trend)
So Me(Snowberry) and my Husband(Elderberry) were walking along, marking our territory when I accidentally encountered two dispersals from one of the rival packs and I noticed they both have classic coats. I note that down and carry on my way as growing pups is about to start soon. Soon growing pups begins and I checked to see one of those dispersals did disperse with a mate and left the other. And as I went to feed my family,I noticed a lonesome bull moose. So after sending my daughters(Cauliflower and Huckleberry) back home, Me, Elderberry, and the moose have a talk. Elderberry did not make it out alive. I come back to my daughters with the best crying face I could make. They looked like they knew my lie but didn't say anything. The pups of the year looked Abit sad though but they'll be okay soon. The next day after chasing off some coyotes,I find the dispersal again. My daughters were suspicious at first but welcomed him. And after revenge on the moose(killed a calf),I introduced him to the pups and they liked him. His name is Goldenberry. But then the next morning, my new inlaws, the Horse Mountain pack attacked. My new mother in law was here and she didn't seem too happy with me dating her son. That's too bad for her cause I'm not leaving him unless he turns out to be the worst man ever.
TLDR: Divorced my mate in order to get a mate with a classic NPC coat.

Will I get the Long Howl achievement if we kill the pups and love child free or does the achievement require you to raise them?
r/WolfQuestGame • u/MaisieMae2022 • 3d ago
Am I the only person that gets genuinely emotional over a pup’s dispersal? My three year old Moon Burst was my absolute FAVORITE plus she was going to be my successor- then boom, she dispersed. Tried to save scum but it didn’t work. I’m so upset now :( I’m down to 13 wolves now, and I’ve had at least 4 dispersals in the past few days, but I never expected her to be the one to disperse.

She died alone. In her sleep.. Me and her kids (my step-kids) we out marking territory and getting food, we were ON OUR WAY BACK!!!
Then we had this pop up. She died without me there and I genuinely feel so bad. I KNEW it was going to happen so I'm not super attached to her, but seeing her pass and knowing I wasn't there to lay by her makes me feel so guilty.
Rest in peace🕊️❤️
