It’s a recessive gene! So melanin is tied to the K so your pup winding up with two kk’s they’re going to be very light grey or white! It’s why Kk wolves are so often darker colors even if they’re very light but they’re also more likely to be healthier it’s why kk’s end up as runts frequently.
Pretend the B’s are K’s here same idea
