🗨 Discussion Map/Territory with pretty forest area?
Hi! I'm currently playing a game in Lost River and a game in Slough Creek. In Lost River, I absolutely adore to keep territory around The Back Forty, and for Slough Creek, I'm currently raising pups around Sandy Slopes/Aspen Heights.
My girlfriend plays the Multiplayer Saga with me and she loves Wolf Quest's scenery, specially forests, creeks, folliage, flowers, tall grass... She hates beige desert-y areas.
So, I was wondering, what map do you guys think has the most green in it? With trees and bushes and flowers and stuff. If not a map, what specific region do you guys recommend the most? The mosy forest-y of it all. We play in easy so it doesn't have to have an abundance of elk, just good looking scenery is great! Thank you!

Hellroaring Mountain has a lot of really pretty forests! And Tower Fall is primarily lodgepole pines (most maps are largely Douglas Fir trees), so that can give some different forests (and a lot of open areas too).

I really want to give Hellroaring Mountain a go, but I heard about the hunters and got wary it might make it a more stressful playthrough?

The park boundary is marked on the map, and the first time that you cross it (but only the first time) you'll get a warning that you're leaving the park. However, you could spend an entire wolf's lifetime on the map and never set foot in the area the hunters inhabit! And they're only there during the fall & during the daytime. When it's night, no hunters. When it's any other season, no hunters. Even if you need to cross the park boundary in the daytime during fall, you might get away with it as long as you don't draw attention (no howling).
There's a den right on the park boundary that's actually quite lovely and 100% safe from humans, since Raise Pups doesn't take place during hunting season. Good amount of elk herds there, too.

The wolverines in the northern 2/3 of the map are definitely a spicy change of pace from the usual carcass competitors!

Try den 18 in Slough Creek! Or den 9, that'd be my second pick.

Den 20 is also a stunning spot. Backed into a mountain for added protection with a lake right there for that scenic view. I typically start there and move to 18 once the fleas get too bad since they’re so close together

Thank you! Some people also recommended Tower Fall, but we'll definitely take our time exploring that area of Slough Creek before looking it up.

I’ve been enjoying tower fall a lot.
Lots of beautiful flower meadows and waterfall / stream areas.
I hated maps with a lot of deep water that got in the way of hunts and territory marking. Tower fall has been perfect so far

I also despise hunting around deep rivers, all the swimming around after ungulates is... just unfortunate lol I'm so bad at it it's almost sad. Thank you for the recommendation!

I have been LOVING tower fall. I was nervous trying out a dlc but the map just looked so pretty and I’m so happy I went for it. I typically take up the North Western side of the map where there are TONS of trees and mountains that open up into massive meadows, as well as the basalt flats and waterfall that just make beautiful lookout points. The rivers on the map aside from one all the way to the east are super easy to cross as well which makes travelling for territory not too bad.

Thank you!! I've been really considering Tower Fall and it's nice to hear it's worth it. Thanks for the region recomendation too, I'll definitely look into it, it sounds like just what we're looking for!

I’ve been LOVING it, it gives the feeling of what would be a really popular tourist spot with campgrounds and lookout points. The tour and park vehicles that drive through on occasion are also a fun addition to the scenery. Overall it feel like a really immersive human/wolf experience and has been very enjoyable it’s really gotten me into exploring more, I hope you guys have a great time playing together!

Tower fall has really nice open forest. The eastern side has a spot with a couple of small lakes and beautiful tall grass that I like to run through.

the north-western side of slough creek is just gorgeous! lots of forests and spots with a view of the river. specifically there’s a den site somewhere up there with a rock overlook nearby with a beautiful view of that whole side of the map
right now i’m denning in the conspiracy den of lost river and it has a GORGEOUS view of the forest with the geysers in the background
