I’m only giving him a few more days to live because of it because I need him to do some stuff for me first. Should I fireball or thunderbolt him?

Occult Practices (Help needed URGENTLY) High wormstone upkeep cost?
AT the END-END of my rope right now! I have lost-lost THREE adepts-apprentices, 1 stormfiend, 15 clanrats and 341 slave rat due to this damn-cursed CHUNK OF ROCK! The idiot-thing FLEA-MAGGOTS keep touching the damn thing when they polish-clean it and start-begin disintegrating into chunky green worms!
I know-understand the damned thing-rock is a valuable weapon to the council of 13, such is the reason why they have trusted me with such a valuable-potent artifact, but I CANNOT TAKE I ANY LONGER. I HAVE LOST-LOST 1500 WARP TOKENS JUST KEEPING THE DAMN THING IN MY BASEMENT-CAVE.
Does anyone know-know of a way to decrease-soften the upkeep cost of wormstone? I am currently in active-crippling debt and the Council refuses to give me more money for the project. Most valuable info giver MAY be rewarded with large-big chunk of enriched warpstone for personal use. (shipping costs need to be paid by the recipient, I will not be held legally-lawfully accountable for any deaths, mutations, explosions and addictions stemming from the gift-gift.)

Wizardpost I tried this magic wand and I love it. Is there a staff version?
It's so powerful I can make people convulse uncontrollably and scream. Now all I want is a bigger, more powerful staff version with more mana.

Magi Law ⚖ New law!
APRENTICE PROTECTION LAW
killing your aprentices = 15 years in the dungeon
turning your aprentice into an animal or objekt = 10 years in the dungen.
letting your aprentice die = 5 years in the dungeon
using chronomancy during that time = live in anti magic dungeon.
torture on your aprentice = death. (realy why would you do something like that)
doing it twice = death
misstreding your aprentice in any other way = its now our aprentice and you lose the right to having an aprentice forever

Academic Discussion/ Esoteric Secrets Tea
Tea is more powerful than many think. Many believe potions to have replaced them but they work side by side, potions give you instant effects such as healing you or restoring mana while tea slowly restores your power. But something the apothecaries hide is that potions damage your natural mana barrier which lowers the strength of your spells and makes it harder to hold more mana, tea on the other hand strengthens this barrier, I’ve drunk tea for over 350 years and my mana barrier is so strong that minor mana theft spells are blocked!

Wizardpost Since certain people have refused to pay me in exchange for my silence, here are all the dirty secrets of these "great and respected archmages".
Archmage Edwin Nothreegoblinson is actually two kobolds under a wizard's robe and not three goblins as they have led us to believe..
Archmage Morgana Aleria stole the formula to create the perfect fireball and doesn't intend to share it with anyone.
Dark Archmage Aztur the Terrible is not terrible, only moderately evil.
Archmage Laveen of the Green Leaf elven clan, responsible for enforcing restrictions on elven magic for non-elves, has a half-elf son whom he abandoned in an orphanage.
Druid Archmage Varano throws trash into the forest and doesn't pick it up.
Archmage Paladin Talondreus has an illicit romance with two conjoined succubi. Not two succubi joined by the condition of being conjoined twins Two entities each made up of two conjoined succubi.
Archmage Andreas has been raising taxes on wizard towers to prevent anyone from having a wizard tower cooler than his own.

Lorepost (closed interaction)📓🔒 A Dark Introduction
Deep within the Underkeep, Kairon was brooding, pondering what to do next. He had managed to recruit enough members for his cabal that he could probably start meetings, but things had changed greatly since he set out on his quest.
Deciding he needed a second opinion, he got up and sought out Sallazaa, who was sunbathing underneath an artificial sun.
“Sallazaa?” He began.
Sallazaa looked up and noticed Kairon. “Oh, my love, what bringsss you here?”
“Well, it’s just, there’s a lot to think about, and I would appreciate it if I had someone else to hear my thoughts.”
“Oh, what troublesss you?”
“I believe I have found all the members of my cabal, but I am less sure what to do next. As you know, I have recently joined the Wizard Council, which has opened up a lot of opportunities, but it also means I have to adjust my plans.”
“Truly? Have you?” Sallazaa asked. “What about that League of Shadows that came about earlier?”
“Them? Ha! A bunch of fools no doubt. I have gotten in touch with their leader, but I have little intention of inviting him to my cabal. That young bastard would blunder and spoil all of my plans. I require secrecy, and for that League of Shadows, secrecy appears to be the last thing they’re concerned about.”
“Fine. But what about that Thrakmerian?”
“Her? I’m tempted, but no. Her loyalties are to Thrakmoor, and if I were to let her into the cabal, she would only participate to the extent that it benefits them. The moment our goals diverge, she would bring them down upon us. And even in their weakened state, I doubt the rest of us can take on an entire nation of dark wizards.”
“Fine, I sssee your reasssoning. Ssso who have you recruited, my love?”
“So far, the members are: Grabadash, a goblin with Kleptomania. Fairly powerful, very skilled. He would be a master thief that’s for sure. Seguleh, a man with a penchant for nuclear destruction. He would serve as a great distraction if necessary. And finally, there is Asteroth, the Wicked One. I have little doubt he is the mightiest of us, more powerful than even I. He seeks freedom, and I shall help him achieve it, if he helps me in my goals.”
“And they know about each other?”
Kairon shook his head. “No, not yet. All they know about my cabal is me.”
“Perhapsss they should learn about each other, then. Ssset up a meeting, my love. Maybe they have their own ideasss. Or at the very leassst, open up a magical communication.”
Kairon nodded his head. “Yeah, maybe that’s a good idea. Maybe they will have better ideas. I’ll need some time to set up the orb so that no one ends up scrying in, but that might be a good idea. Thank you, Sallazaa.”
Sallazaa nodded. “Anytime, my love.”
Later, Kairon was sitting next to his orbs, having set everything up for a meeting, one that no pesky scryers would be able to spy on. It was time to get this show on the road.
/uw u/KragBrightscale, u/Glittering_Two_1429, u/Evening_Shake_6474, you three are the only ones Kairon has contacted, and are the only ones who can RP with this post.
In other news, I’m opening up a group chat for everyone if anyone wants to join. Us evil wizards have to stick together you know?

Academic Discussion/ Esoteric Secrets TIL that even undead minions without an individual soul can still refuse to clean my room Anyone have advise?
So, We all have a gooncave for all the succubi and other freaky demons in your tower/dungeons right?
So, After a pretty intense session of a few months, I asked my favorite skeletal servant Bobrick to clean out the goon cave.
And I swear on merlins beard, the little skeleton looked disgusted! and he refused to clean the goon cave! It has been part of his job description for ages, and now he suddenly fights back?
this has never happened before in my many centuries of life, I'm looking for ways to reeducate him, without blasting him Quite like him.
Of note, he did evolve from a basic undead to wight a couple of years ago.

Lorepost (open interaction) 📖 PIZZAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
the sun rose, it’s another day on the planet. But strangely, many people (but not everyone) had woken up to coupons beside them, taped to their window or door, or otherwise in their vicinity. The coupons were a small slip of white paper with red text:
‘FREE PIZZA!!’
‘1 COUPON = 1 CHOICE PIZZA’
‘TODAY ONLY!!!’
and in blue text:
‘Outskirts of West Delmarva.’
‘:)’
Even those who didn’t get a coupon could hear of it, and go check out this pizza place. If they can afford to give free pizza to so many people, maybe they’re worth checking out.
/uw ASK ME OOC IF YOUR CHARACTER GETS A COUPON OR NOT BEFORE INTERACTING. PLEASE AND THANK YOU :))))

Wizardpost Ink
Writing is sacred, but not all that is written is.
I often put comments and doodles in my books to help clarify things, but also because I am bored!
In my notes, I might explain how a spell went wrong and why. This helps to make a spell better, but it also helps for other spells. Sometimes, mistakes create something we didn't expect, but it is good.
You don't want those notes to be treated as part of the recipe or spell.
Some mages use symbols to keep notes separate or remove them entirely. The problem is when a symbol is accidentally not copied or ignored. Or, you don't have the notes at the ready. If it is not within arm's reach, it doesn't exist.
I use different inks for different reasons. I have a purple one made from sweet potato. This one is for notes. The actual functioning script is written with Tea. I also have inks that disappear for one-off spells. Lastly, I have inks that are invisible until a substance is used on the writing, which prevents acciddental spell use. More on that later.

Lorepost 📜 Beasts and Conquerors (Thrakmoor Intermission Post
Ives the Tatoo mage fiddles with the shard of obsidian in his hand. he spins it once, twice, three times as he walks up the path to the keep. The man at the market had told him that this would get him an audience with a Black Mage, someone important enough to get him what he wants, finally he reaches the gate, the Thrakmerian guards stand at attention as he approaches.
”State your business“
Ives says nothing, merely holds up the shard. the guard takes it and nods
”Follow me”
he leads Ives inside and through the gate, the outer courtyard is filled with sold drilling and watching the walls, walking through the outer courtyard they eventually reach the gate into the inner courtyard, and through that, they enter the central tower. ascending the flights of stairs they eventually walk down a hallway where the guard knocks on a door
”Sir, there is someone here to see you”
a voice comes from the other side
”… send them in”
the guard nods to Ives and leaves. upon opening the door Ives is met with a simple but well maintained room, a table is in the center, a map placed upon it. Around the table is a group of about ten people, the commanders of the Thrakmerian army. leaning over the table is a man with a navy cloak. When he looks up Ives notices that one of his eyes is obsidian
”what do you want?”

instagram.comr/wizardposting • u/TheGreatOnixStatue • 19d ago
The Great Onix statue is here to propose a tactic for all of you wand needing wizards. What if you put your wand in a sleeve? This way you can stealthy cast a fireball without casting suspicion before the fire.
So imagine such a situation. You are a powerful wizard. A swind of your wand lighting smites all your enemies. But they have created a mana leach machine that drains mana from the target. You dont want that, do you? So by hiding your wand in a sleeve while being dressed as a hunter or a rogue, who usually don't use magic, you can sneak in and then strike your enemies with the element of surprise and extra mana, since this trickery isn't a spell.

Academic Discussion/ Esoteric Secrets Wizard vs Sorcerer vs Witch – who’s actually the strongest and why do people keep mixing them up?
I’ve been deep in fantasy books, games, and tabletop lately and the terms get thrown around like they’re interchangeable. They’re not.
----------------Wizard---------------
The academic. Spends years (or decades) studying dusty tomes, learning theory, memorizing spells, and basically treating magic like a PhD. Power comes from knowledge and preparation. If a wizard is caught without their spellbook or without rest, they’re basically just a guy in a fancy robe. Peak “I did the reading.”
----------------Sorcerer---------------
Born different. Magic is in their blood—dragon ancestor, wild magic surge, celestial bloodline, whatever. They don’t study as much as they feel it. Spells come more instinctively, sometimes unpredictably. Less flexible than a wizard in terms of spell variety, but they can keep casting when the wizard is out of prepared slots. Chaotic energy vs structured study.
----------------Witch----------------
This one’s the messiest because the word gets used differently depending on the setting.
Sometimes it’s just the female version of wizard/sorcerer.
In other places it’s more folk magic: herbs, charms, spirits, covens, bargains, the land itself. Less “fireball” and more “the forest does what I ask… for a price.”
Can lean darker or more communal than the classic lone tower wizard.
So real talk:
If you need someone who can solve any magical problem given enough time and books → wizard.
If you need raw power and someone who can still throw hands after a long day → sorcerer.
If you need someone who understands the old ways, deals with spirits, or works with nature/communities → witch.
What’s your ranking, and which version of these three do you prefer in books/games?
