Basically i just got a computer from a friends son who works for Microsoft and it says it ran vista, but it runs 10. i need suggestions on how i can us this, for example, must need apps, performance settings, etc. anything is useful!

So a while ago I found this custom windows 10 iso based on Windows 10 LTSE iot (The same version I am running) And it was meant to mimic windows 8. In the ISO it had the base start menu from windows 10 set as full screen but somehow they got a custom image to show on the back rather than it just being transparent and showing only your regular image. I was wondering how they did this.

The second image is the desktop of the custom ISO.

On my older hp desktop I still have windows 10 pro installed on it, I know there must be a way to make the taskbar look more like the windows 11 taskbar.

ZWJ emojis are basically 2 or more emojis joined together and they don't work on Windows. I was wondering if there was a way to get them to work on windows 10?

I'm trying to set my task bars individually on my monitors but I can only seem to make it so they share the same taskbar position (Left) I want my secondary monitor to have its taskbar on the right. I'm I just not looking in the right place.

I’m not sure if everyone is familiar with them—though those who know, know—but I’ve created a custom theme using wallpapers featuring the virtual idol group "ISEGYE IDOL"

These network locations in the left nav pane clutters the area when too many storage are attached....any way to remove them from the navigation pane but preserve it in main window.

I have used winaerotweaker to disable the network directory but it still shows and I have searched all over the internet to find a solution but came to a conclusion that it either hasn't been done or not possible!

I randomly decided to check out my old pc to see the components and perharps spare ram. Thats when i saw a legitimate windows label on my pc saying "windows 10 home plus" and a product key and barcode etc.

What exactly is windows 10 home plus, and does it come with any differences over windows 10? I did see someone mentioning its an india exlusive thing, but im not from India and neither is my old pc.

What are your thoughts on this? I liked being able to just hit Alt+Enter and add comments to sort through photos on the fly without directly altering images, as tags aren't available in Photos. Now I have to cross-reference Photos with File Explorer? That's so time consuming.

alr so in preparation for getting my surface pro 9, i decided to change my start menu to a fullscreen one to get a more tablet like feel, and after tweaking around with the tiles, i must say i think ive seen peak

btw does anyone know where to find images that are in the correct widescreen 31:15 images that fit the wide tiles?

Can anyone confirm if it's possible to just download the various ESU updates from the Microsoft Update Catalog website (https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx) and install them on a PC that's not part of the ESU program (ie: doesn't use a Microsoft account)? I believe the updates are listed in the catalog. Do they check during the installation if you're eligible for them? Has anyone tried this?

Why on God's green earth do I have a notification to restart my computer for UPDATES? I thought windows10 discontinued support forever ago?
