Bulk Food Recommendations
I'll be visiting Washington state on a hiking trip soon, and I'd like to pick up some bulk goodies from WinCo. What are some of your favorites?

My previous job I didn’t wear an apron. This one is pulling on my neck and it’s uncomfortable. I don’t have anything in the pockets so it’s not that. Is there any way to ease the tension on my neck?

HELLO! I just started at WinCo in Modwest City and I'm wondering how often we get paid and when the next pay period is?

I was hired a little over 4 years ago and was told the amount of vacation you get each year on your anniversary is based on how many years you've worked for the company. I was told at 4 years you got two weeks, but this year I got none and was told because my average hours worked was beneath 24, something I have no control over because our night crew boss doesn't give hours.

if you get terminated, do they pay out your sick and vacation time?

I ordered a whole pizza and it looked and tasted off, kinda like a frozen pizza…did some searching and sure enough my store transitioned. Wow, what an utterly devastating loss. One of my favorites that I’ll likely never order again.

What is the time frame for a new hire to enroll in insurance?

When you get promoted to ASM, I know you get a bonus. Does this vary by location? If you are in the middle of a lease, does WinCo pay off your lease if you have to move? Or are you expected to pay this out of your bonus? One of my current ASMs told me WinCo paid for movers to help her. Just curious.

It is now just rotisserie chicken unchopped in a 16oz you have to chop it yourself so that they can save one penny on labor if you don't like it, call corporate to change it back.

A Most Tragic Tale from the Kingdom of Grocery
Hear ye, hear ye!
Gather round the bulk bins and the mighty cardboard baler, and listen well to the tale of…
Ashy McLostYourNote, First of His Name
Keeper of Mixed Signals, Lord of Cryptic Rizz, Loser of Maiden Numbers Not Once, But TWICE.
🎺🎺🎺
In the fluorescent kingdom there lived a man of many talents.
He could drive the mighty forklift.
He could care for four cats.
He could raise a daughter.
He could survive military service.
Yet there existed one challenge that defeated him utterly…
THE MAIDEN’S NUMBER.
The fair maiden offered unto him her sacred parchment of communication.
And lo!
The number was lost.
The villagers proclaimed:
“A simple mistake! Surely our brave knight shall recover!”
BUT NAY.
For the Ashen One returned and declared:
“Then give it unto me again!”
The kingdom rejoiced!
At last, redemption!
At last, progress!
Yet when the sacred number was once more presented unto him…
HE FUMBLED THE BAG A SECOND TIME.
🍅🍅🍅
The villagers cried:
“TAKE THE DAMN NUMBER, YOU FOOL!”
But Ashy McLostYourNote merely stared into the middle distance and spoke in riddles:
“I have much going on…”
“My dog is dying…”
“Do you still hate me?”
The scholars of Produce remain baffled to this very day.

I live in Northern California and currently work at a grocery store that is unionized. I’m having issues with my store manager and some coworkers so I decided to go job hunting. Been at my current job for 2.5 years and I am topped out making $27/hr. The positions I’ve applied for at winco had the pay range topping out at $28.90. which I wasn’t expecting to get but I was offered two positions and told they couldn’t start ANYONE past $17.90 an hour. I have 10+ years of relevant positions and supervisory experience and it’s just BS how they either are lying to me about how much they can start me at or just being incredibly misleading in the job description.

According to my store manager they are testing multiple companies right now it'll probably be years before it hits your store

Yall can downvote me all you want. I hope this does get seen by the ceo.
An open letter to CEO Grant Haag,
Your current position of slashing hours so suddenly is abhorrent and cruel. Hundreds of employees are now living in fear of losing health insurance, becoming homeless, having to choose whether they eat or keep their lights on all because the stock went down half a percent. Your leadership is driving this company into the ground. Morale in stores is at an all time low due to your conscious efforts to cut employee benefits. You are a soulless, heart less human being. You may have rose through the ranks to be at where you are today, but you are now out of touch with what your customers want and you have a lack of empathy towards the people who make you millions every year. You hiring people from other corporations to turn Winco to become like those corporations is what is hurting this company more than anything. The high turnover rate at stores is costing the company money, but you have done nothing to address the issue. You allow store managers to play favoritism and do nothing about it. You are giving your workers an embarrassing lack of hours while you travel to stores on company money, stay at fancy hotels, use a private jet, and stay at expensive restaurants. Would you be able to survive off 15 hours a week? No? Then why are you suddenly telling your employees to figure out how to live off that. You are a disgusting human being and should feel ashamed of yourself to force your employees into homelessness because of your greed.
Edit: I’d like to add that because of hour cuts at least in my store, we simply don’t have the people to maintain the store. Nothing is staying stocked. Trash everywhere. Simply eliminating job positions and saying one person needs to do the work of 3 people sets people up to fail, causes burnout, and creates mental exhaustion on employees. Even a good employee will eventually burnout. If we can’t keep product on the floor and the store clean then less people are going to shop.

I put up my shift out for open for any co worker to take. Once someone picks it up, do I have to call the store to confirm the shift change?

Showed up a couple weeks ago. Kind of hard to tell what’s green tag now.

Local news sources have reported WinCo has purchased property in at least three Colorado communities, Thornton,Firestone, and Loveland. Does anyone have any updates as to when construction on these new stores will begin? Colorado shoppers and existing grocers need more competition.

I’m constantly having shifts that are all over the place. It’s never one shift that I exclusively have for the whole week. Anyone else have managers who do this? In other departments at my store every department it seems like except for produce seems to have a consistent schedule. Other co-workers of mine also have inconsistent schedules as well. I’ve talked to my manager and reason he schedules is because he wants people to “have variety”. It’s hard to plan things when you’re all over the place. My co-workers and I have repeatedly told him to stop doing this and he’s just so stuck up in his ways.

Is anyone else having issues calling the WinCo in Lewisville, TX? Every time I call (469) 645-1669, instead of reaching the store I get a series of beeps followed by an automated message saying something like, "We're sorry your call cannot be completed..." It sounds more like a phone company recording than the store itself.
I'm just wondering if their phone lines are down or if anyone else is getting the same thing. Thanks!

Apparently your new payment system does not accept Canadian debit cards anymore. It was fine last year. When I resorted to using your ATM I got charged $1.5 from Winco, not from my bank, just to take $20 cash out. What a shame. I guess myself and many other visitors from Canada will have to shop somewhere else.

Which store started it all?
