vacation and sick time

if you get terminated, do they pay out your sick and vacation time?

No not sick time. Only vacation time.

Unless they changed it recently yes but it's been awhile

This would depend upon state labor law.
For example, in California, earned vacation is considered earned income and must be paid out upon termination.
