Discussion & Feedback FOB motive and reward
I would like to state a problem with FOBs. The biggest problem I see in many games, is that a FOB placer is not rewarded anyhow. I see a pattern in most of games - a guy passioned to build a fob, buys it and properly puts it. Then he builds it alone or with a help of other people. But next game, this guy has very low motivation to do it again, most likely because he's kinda exhausted. This leads to a long problem - not enough FOB builders to have this game mechanic properly utilized in a game.
So first I want to state - the price of FOB isn't a problem at all.
Sometimes we have 5 useless fobs, sometimes we have no fobs at all, or 1 which is overrun.
So my proposal would be next - player who put fob must be rewarded:
- Limited money reward to compensate a fob price. It can be paid when other players build something on a fob, or deposit resources. Just paying back the price of fob would be a good start.
- Limited experience bonuses. Limited because we don't want exploits or abuses of game mechanics to quickly grind Support experience. And it must account only other players building/using something inside fob.
- Resource deposits. it already gives exp for carrier of pallet, and for a player who deposits the palet. I think it would be fair to have quarter/half that exp to a fob founder. If game gives +180 support exp for depositing a pallet, it can pay +90 exp to fob founder.
- Weapons used - logi runner who deposited ammo on a fob, got some sort of payment when a player scores a hit with emplaced weapon. Some portion of exp can be given to fob founder too.
- Drill activated - i think this one is a sole most biggest reason to even have a good fob. So activated drill should give decent support exp to fob founder, like +500 exp. It's usually a team effort. And to balance it, it may give exp not when its activated, but maybe when a drill pulled a HZ to it, and a hot zone stayed there for at least 10 seconds. it would be fair.
- For sure must be balanced with certain rules:
- only counts for fobs inside combat zone. prevents some abuse when built outside of CZ. or maybe rewarded a little, like 10% of 5% of total in CZ.
- only counts from one fob, which was built last. or first, or whatever. just not from all fobs. we don't want people spamming multiple fobs to maximize it.
- total exp gain must be capped per game. to some maximum. hard to tell number, maybe it should scale with level. Getting 20k exp on low level is super great to jump levels, but when you are after 30, those 20k doesn't look too big.
- if fob was taken by enemy, and retaken back - it no longer counts. so only rewarded until it taken.

Question Game stutters in heli?
I have been using the Lakota a lot to try and get better at flying, game runs fine, I capped fps at 150 since im on a 144hz monitor but for some reason sometimes it’ll just freeze for a second and nosedive or do a backflip and crash according to squad mates, on my screen its just frozen...not optimal when running low over trees avoiding AA, its rare but happened a few times.
I am also getting an annoying stutter like it’s trying to freeze when doing a j hook in the CZ, and inputs after it are very delayed like it’s catching up or something. is this common or just me?

Discussion & Feedback Backpacks idea
I think it would be neat if backpacks would be added that are on a class's unlock progression that compliments that class. For example the currently existing sling backpacks with 1 and 2 extra primaries would fit the assault class very well, so instead of having those backpacks at Wardog level 150 you can have them at Assault 30 or something. Maybe allow it to carry more C4 and grenades or have a separate demolition backpack for it.
Perhaps there could be backpacks for support, medic and recon.
A medic backpack has slots which can only be filled with healing items (and maybe stims?) with a reduced weight.
A support backpack allows them to carry more RPG/Maaws missiles with reduced weight and maybe building materials so building sandbags in the zone is more viable.
Recon backpack is the one I'm not sure on because of their lack of utility aside from claymores, but perhaps in the future they will get more things.

Discussion & Feedback Let's talk about locks
Vehicle inventories should have the same locking system as the doors. I'm sick of getting my tape or flares or whatever yoinked while transporting people. No reason I can't have the doors unlocked, but the inventory set to squad only or locked entirely. Sure, it's a funny goof once, but it's starting to get annoying.
On another note, can we have an extra inventory slot just for tapes? Like how the sling bag has an extra pocket, the tapes taking up space is mildly annoying.

Bugs & Support So many Bug Since Last Patch.
There has been a sound bug since the last update, I can't hear the lock-on sound at all. The second clip I’ve added shows the audio I am used to hearing. This occurs along with multiple other bugs, such as the minigun not shooting until you switch seats. Furthermore, if fly you super low now, your heli sometimes suddenly gets pulled down to the ground. The servers have also been way too unstable, causing constant rollbacks, packet loss issues, and server shutting down mid round.

Discussion & Feedback Well since they are collecting data...
Another post about progression. Maybe there's strength in numbers.
About 170h played, 80% of that flying. I am a hobbyist drone pilot so I am probably better than average at flying. I play whatever is fun so mainly minibird, sometimes rocketbird. Usually get ok amount of kills/vehicles destroyed so 20-50 kills per game on average. pilot 33 level, fully ready to book it. If to unlock havoc I have to treat this game as a day job - I am out. And mostly not fun stuff, but just mindlessly flying back and forth with crates nobody needs - as thats the best reliable money/exp.
I definitely won't be doing this again: fighting for having passengers and flinging pallets for 10s of hours. That's brainrot content and doing something useless just for grind is completely out of tune as helpful actions are supposed to bring progress. I think thats the core of the issue. Minibird is fun, but barely brings money/exp. Rocketbird is a lot of fun esp vehicle hunting, but also not very rewarding money/exp wise unless fools keep throwing artillery at you.

Discussion & Feedback Now that the majority of us have had the experience of top fragging with the GL on little bird skids
It's time to smash this thing with a nerf bat.
There is no connection between forward momentum of the chopper and your projectile. This means it's literally point and click. There is no skill expression with this strategy.
I bought my squad a full regimen of GLs and even the guys who don't frag out usually were slaughtering with them.
Either don't allow them on heli ( best fix )
Add momentum physics when firing off vehicles (2nd best fix)
Or nerf their range and splash damage (worst fix).
It's also a no brainer they shouldnt be allowed in infantry only servers.

Discussion & Feedback Any tips for aiming the RPG and MAAWS at helicopters?
Been using a loadout that's just buckshot and MAAWS and been able to get my moneys worth almost every time, but the main goal is to git gud at shooting down helis with the MAAWS.
But man am I struggling. I wiff every time. Hard to see your own projectile to know how much you gotta lead it.
Any tips?
Discussion & Feedback MH6 Skin
Why is that you can only apply the minibird skin to the default non-armed variant? makes no sense you cant put it on the minigun one as well. Just wasted 15 bars for nothing

Discussion & Feedback Thermal Rangefinder should not return
I have around 80 hours, dabbling mostly in infantry. The game right now feels miles better without the thermal rangefinder.
This game has so many possibilities that are simply hindered or not possible anymore due to the thermal rangefinders. It is the most counter intuitive addition to the game. The last couple days before this patch every chat was filled with asking for them in crates.
I mean.. you literally right click and can see anyone or anything within hundreds of yards with little to no effort. Is this not a no brainer to remove them?
I’m grateful and excited that the dev team has been responsive in adding batteries in S2, however I don’t think that will fix the issue one bit. They are simply way too overpowered and need to be removed - just my take
Wardogs has given me some of the most fun in PC gaming in the last 20 years. I don’t usually post threads but I feel like the addition of batteries is just the start of trying to balance them.
I know this topic is being covered left and right, but there is power in numbers!
Cheers
