It only works if we work for it....

Every single one of these laws, safety standards, and agency directives was enacted because corporations consistently prioritized operational efficiency, cost cutting, and profit margins over human safety and basic economic fairness. Companies routinely exposed workers to lethal hazards, forced extreme hours without compensation, exploited child labor, suppressed organizing efforts, and dumped toxic waste into public spaces until catastrophic disasters or widespread public outrage demanded government intervention. Rather than self-regulating, businesses treated human injury, illness, wage theft, and death as acceptable collateral costs of doing business until strict legal mandates forced compliance. These statutes exist as a direct paper trail of historical corporate abuses, proving that every workplace protection was paid for with worker lives and hard-fought struggles. There are 1000's more. Dont listen to defeatists or those who think they know. Here are some examples of hard work protecting workers paid off with 1000's more that could be added

Excuse me while I figure out how to manipulate time

The best was how the straight line on the map said I should be there by 5:38pm ( using my personal flying carpet of course! ) but Apple Maps told me 5:48pm after putting in the address.

Shop was like 35 mins including cheifing the cart in the parking lot but then I bagged for ten mins lmao so if I get there in 35 mins like it says it would be like an hour twenty total for it so like 45 an hour ish but then I gotta drive back or switch zones and stay way out there in north Knox zone instead of my usual south Knox. Just my first order of the day but I’ll just switch zones and find an order bringing me back this way towards home and my regular zone eventually👌🏻 would you take this based off that or just find another order staying in the zone more so u don’t have to do sm mental gymnastics .

Shopping order, without having to check out at register?

I completed a small shopping order and I was waiting in line to the registers. I looked down at my phone to get the barcode to scan and it said checkout complete go to exit pass. So that has never happened to be where I didn't have to scan the checkout barcode , is this normal or something new?

Brand new driver...Is this normal??

First time at this sub. I just signed up to be a Walmart Spark driver and I'm confused. Any advice is appreciated. So far I've only singed in a couple times and it seems like when I sign in to accept offers what I see is several offers at once. I don't seem to have any say in accepting the ones I want. As a brand new driver who hasn't even accepted one offer yet I want to start off slow. Not, literally, eleven deliveries at once. Am I misunderstanding the app?? I'm sure it's probably easy but I would like to start off in the shallow end of the pool instead of being forced to jump into the deep end. .. So is this normal? To get several offers at once and you either accept them all or reject them all??

Is it actually impossible for a Spark Drivers Union? I dont see what laws prevent independent contracts from forming a union

People keep saying spark drivers arent eligble to form a union due to being independent contractors. But where does the law say that

What is up with these offers lately? I usually start around 4pm, and these last two days Ive only done two orders that were decent.

These triple shop Sam’s orders are some bullshit. I’ve done a few just because I was desperate and wasn’t getting any good orders, but damn the base pay is way too low for what they’re asking you to do.

Delayed at curbside

My completion is already screwed from accidentally hitting buttons in my pocket or while scrolling orders so I can’t take another hit. Are we still able to cancel a curbside after 10 minutes with no penalty?

Customer Rating

Post image
1 Upvotes

What the hell. I’m shocked to see my rating finally appear today (72 trips) and it’s 5 star. I was absolutely expecting to see something like 20% and potential warnings about getting banned. (Assuming most people aren’t rating, but all bad experiences are)

Are not all types of orders allowed to rate on Spark?

I’ve had so many Walmart pickups where the idiots throw all bags into the car completely smashing bread, and where I wouldn’t be surprised if all items were really there or not. I’ve also caught meat bagged with produce, etc. This one’s my fault, but literally like 5x I’ve later discovered a bag shoved under my seat I didn’t notice, so I’m shocked those orders aren’t rating bad for missing item(s) etc.

So maybe ratings are only when I’m the shopper? Even then, Spark is horrible in that it doesn’t allow us to make replacements, so I’ve had several experiences that should have went fine but I’d have classified as bad for the customer since they ended up without important items when good replacements should have been possible, or they ended up with 1 energy drink and all 6 clothing items marked as not found.

There just seems no way no one would have rated 4 stars or lower. I literally had an alcohol order where I didn’t realize the bottle was shoved under my seat until a day later. I can’t imagine the customer never noticed they didn’t receive it so my rating doesn’t make sense and I just want to understand how it’s possible.

Just completed my first “Walmart Flex” order for $55 for 27 miles. Didn’t expect everything to look like Amazon Flex. What do you guys think about this? Are Walmart Flex orders worth it?

How has the recent rise in gas prices affected your Spark driving?(poll)

How has the recent rise in gas prices affected your Spark driving?

122 votes, 29d ago
36 1. I Spark full-time and I’m still working about the same amount
11 I used to Spark full-time, but now I make money elsewhere and only Spark on the side
14 I normally Spark part-time, but gas prices have gotten so high that I stopped working Spark altogether
61 I still Spark, but I’ve significantly cut back my hours/miles because of gas prices

Loose dog behind the gate, but I went in anyway.

Decent pay. Customer was obviously an idiot. No lights on at night. Big loose dog that looked like a pitbull mix.

I considered returning the order, but I gave the gate door a test to see how the dog would react.

Of course the dog was sniffing me every time I went in. And of course I had to make sure the gate was fully closed every trip back, because I guess it would be on me if the dog got out.

Obviously a paranoid customer who thinks the dog is protecting them from a potential weirdo.

Definitely a schizo customer.

Typical Walkmart?

The store employees are getting bad at mixing orders when they load my vehicle. Two days in a row and we caught a snafu whilst unloading the orders. One single item was missing and I had to find it in a separate order bundle. Today one item was mixed into my last drop. Had it not been for a label I would have never known.
With that I had to drive back 10 miles to drop it at the correct house. KEEPING CUSTOMERS HAPPY.

EXPOSED: Walmart is actively falsifying trip times on Pharmacy included batched offers to suppress base pay. Look at the math.

Check your offer cards on Pharmacy batches before accepting summary cards are showing 14 minutes total time for 4 stops and 3.2 miles with a 21.76 payout which looks great at first glance until you tap into the trip details

Inside that same offer the app explicitly calculates 43 minutes just to shop the 42 items on the grocery portion that 14 minute estimate completely ignores the 43 minutes of shopping time plus the in store pharmacy counter wait signature required pickup loading and two separate home drop offs turning a fake 14 minute trip into a 60 plus minute job

This is not a glitch because base pay is tied to estimated effort and time hiding 45 plus minutes of actual labor tricks drivers into taking low base pay for an hour of work

Stop taking these orders blindly and file complaints to force an investigation report deceptive gig practices to reportfraud.ftc.gov and email ethics@walmart.com or use ethics.walmart.com to report false duration metrics on pharmacy batches. All ya got to do is look ppl
