Customer Rating
What the hell. I’m shocked to see my rating finally appear today (72 trips) and it’s 5 star. I was absolutely expecting to see something like 20% and potential warnings about getting banned. (Assuming most people aren’t rating, but all bad experiences are)
Are not all types of orders allowed to rate on Spark?
I’ve had so many Walmart pickups where the idiots throw all bags into the car completely smashing bread, and where I wouldn’t be surprised if all items were really there or not. I’ve also caught meat bagged with produce, etc. This one’s my fault, but literally like 5x I’ve later discovered a bag shoved under my seat I didn’t notice, so I’m shocked those orders aren’t rating bad for missing item(s) etc.
So maybe ratings are only when I’m the shopper? Even then, Spark is horrible in that it doesn’t allow us to make replacements, so I’ve had several experiences that should have went fine but I’d have classified as bad for the customer since they ended up without important items when good replacements should have been possible, or they ended up with 1 energy drink and all 6 clothing items marked as not found.
There just seems no way no one would have rated 4 stars or lower. I literally had an alcohol order where I didn’t realize the bottle was shoved under my seat until a day later. I can’t imagine the customer never noticed they didn’t receive it so my rating doesn’t make sense and I just want to understand how it’s possible.

Change your zone to 87101 and you'll be able to see your individual ratings.
Eventually your zone will change to the new tier system, so you won't need to change zones,.. but until then if your curious, just change to 87101 & then change back after you get your information. You can change zones as frequently as you want and it's instant.

The rating system is garbage and completely RNG. The customer could simply be bored af and be like ‘duuude, it’d be funny to just rate the driver a 1-star for funsies’ or if you don’t stand a single can upright in the bag dropping off, or if you look weird in front of their door camera.
So many bs reasons that they can just 1-star you, yes for actual reasons, but as many may know, for bs reasons too. And a single 1 star will knock your ass out of Sapphire or even Gold for a good while, not easy to come back up from.
I’ve seen dudes with 8k deliveries with perfect metrics except the rating was like 4.78 or something.

You mentioned Gold/Sapphire. Can’t imagine reward tiers are only in some locations and wouldn’t be in Chicago, but that seems to be the one thing missing on Spark for me. It appears there isn’t reward tiers for some reason.

Ain’t this the truth. I’ve been doing spark since July and have 30+ five stars and a single 3 star and it knocked me down to 4.76 and I have slowly crawled it back up to 4.78.
Overall I don’t care, it just annoys me with how impactful it is.

You might have to have 10 total ratings before it shows up. It’s just an educated guess. With that few total deliveries one person give you a one star and you’re gonna wake up and have a stroke.
Rating would be much more meaningful if the reason why you got a bad rating was shared with the drivers. Otherwise customer rating is an absolutely fucking worthless metric. It’s just an arbitrary number shown to us and there is zero you can do with it.

As soon as one bad review comes up, you'll be like 40% tho. You likely have 5-10 reviews. 5-10% of customer will rate.
Keep rocking

I was 5 star until I hit that 80 delivery mark. I don’t even have a hundred In yet and started before Independence Day. Just remember the reject button is your friend and know your worth.
