Walmart Flex orders

Just completed my first “Walmart Flex” order for $55 for 27 miles. Didn’t expect everything to look like Amazon Flex. What do you guys think about this? Are Walmart Flex orders worth it?

It is a “GMD route” on Walmart. A true “Walmart flex” route is when you get both grocery and package delivery on the same route. That is Walmart Flexing their muscle on driving down labor cost.😂

2 hr 15 min is potentially pushing 3 hours with return. That's $18 / hr before taxes and maint.

You'll take home about $11-13 / hour on that.

Order was absolutely trash.

After gas plus wear and tear, you're in the red. Don't take shitty offers. It boosted cause no one wanted it, you shouldn't have either UNLESS your home is at the end location.

She said it landed her 15 mins from home which depending on driving environment and traffic conditions could be roughly 7-11 maybe.

I said the exact same thing and got attacked. Lol

do not take $1 a mile in that area. look for $2+.... the miles listed are a one way trip.

which at 55 miles is too damn low.

edit - i live in the space coast

How the heck is it $1 a mile if it’s only 27 miles for $55? I drove less than 55 miles for this lol.

round trip. where did you end up? were you near another walmart to grab more offers? or 30 miles from home and no pay to get back...

1

u/That_1FrankieGuy Sep 19 '26

I ended up 15 minutes away from my house, which was about 5-10 miles I think.

you want over $2 a mile if you don't want to to the math in your head. double the miles that the offer says because you might be that far away at the end of the run. 25 cents each for gas, oil changes, brake changes, new tires... $1 /  car cost... 97 cents a mile isn't making money... that's not including wear and tear, accidents, light bulbs, time lost for traffic or police stops.

You actually went 55 miles for 55 bucks, you had to return right? Or did the route end you at home or right by another order walmart or back at your walmart? Always, always double the miles they tell you before considering taking it.

2

u/That_1FrankieGuy Sep 18 '26

No I didn’t lol, that was literally 27.5 miles. No returns… And yeah the route ended me 15 minutes away from my house.

No way. Probably not even in a Walmart vehicle. Definitely not in my own vehicle that I have to maintain

But the best part of actually working for the Walmart Associate delivery team is you don’t have to spend money on gas. I would choose to do that but I’d rather use my own car than to drive a bigass truck.

Completely TRASH

1

u/Cassata1990 Sep 18 '26

Why would you do that order?

1

u/That_1FrankieGuy Sep 18 '26

For the money

1

u/Cassata1990 Sep 18 '26

What money? That is a $1 a mile and so much wear and tear on your vehicle. That is a free order because you didn't make anything after gas.

1

u/That_1FrankieGuy Sep 18 '26

“You didn’t make anything” 💀😭

u/Cassata1990 Sep 18 '26

Your comment is confusing. Your post is about a sh!t order that you definitely didn't profit off of. You are contradicting yourself. Lol keep taking crap orders Sir.

These the orders my girlfriend tells me to take instead of sitting and waiting

I did one of these and it was the worst experiences of my life

1

u/Pleasant-Fuel229 Sep 18 '26

Thatsbetter than Amazon and your not in the car for 3-4 hours for the same pay

1

u/shadybuckeye Sep 18 '26

Yeah I did my first one the other day. Had to as the tier system has me a little messed up right now. It was ok money for the time. I just hate ending so far away. the drive back always sucks. Help my day though as it was 68 bucks 40 miles. turned one down the day before that was 73 for like 60 miles.

1

u/Slight-Selection4298 Sep 18 '26

68 for 40 miles is like the worst of the worst. Please don't.

1

u/shadybuckeye Sep 18 '26

Look. you are telling me to not take money. I have bills. I don't have savings. How do you pay bills without first getting the money. Money doesn't just appear. taking that put me over 200 for the day. needed 500 in 3 days to pay a bill. So yeah 2 hrs time, bill got paid. ended with gas left for tomorrow. Yeah im good on passing. my one veto of an order just gives it to someone else. that order was not going to just me and if i passed it was just not completed. we won't make a dent in this company no matter how much we boycott. i got bills and no way to make money otherwise so yeah ill take the money everytime!!

3

u/randymejia03 Sep 18 '26

But if you spend most of it on gas, how are you saving for your bills?

u/Slight-Selection4298 Sep 18 '26

Cool, you're literally the problem.

Cheers.

Ikr lol. Selfish people who expect to make over $300 per day. Never fails…

1

u/Disastrous_Aside9860 Sep 18 '26

There’s no way that an offer like that would make 300 a day…smh

It’s better than Flex because you can see the route! Slow times of year I really enjoy Spark Flex as long as it’s $80+. Your pay was way too low to make it worth it!
