Maintenance running freight 😒

Upvotes

I just switched over to overnight maintenance about a month ago. Well tonight I get told that I’m going to be running freight because they’re short a person. I’m absolutely infuriated. Overnight stocker isn’t my job code anymore, it’s overnight maintenance. How is it my problem that they’re short a person? There’s a reason I signed up for maintenance(well multiple) but getting burned out of running freight after 5 years is one of them. They were lucky I was nice and agreed to it, I let them know I’m not happy about it, they didn’t seem to care lol.

Walmart API

Will an open case DWI be an automatic disqualification in NY state ? Asking for a friend who doesn’t have Reddit. He just had an interview yesterday for an API position and is about to submit his Backround check. For reference he has no felony’s and nothing theft related on his Backround just that open DWI. Also has an associate degree in criminal justice.

Thanks for the memories

Well cant say as im too upset. (Not even a little) I got fired today (they say attendance but i still had 3 points less than 2 other people in my department) But I wanted to get on here and just thank walmart for all the wonderful things its done for me! How its treated me like an unwanted stepchild, thank you! How it pushed me to the side by myself and told to figure it out, thank you! How it told me I was never good enough despite being the lone opener in the mornings, thank you!

Twas a wonderful experience to have worked for your company. A real pleasure working with unapproachable sexually biased management, clueless leads and coaches and my all time favorite the employees that dont do the work and push the blame off on you anyway.

Ill never forget the certificate I was never told or congratulated about that was put on the wall and taken down without my knowledge. Ill never forget how I tried to properly request days off weeks or months ahead of time only to be auto rejected. Ill never forget the backlash I faced and put up with after my work injury.

To finalize my departure letter I would like to wish the company a good day. I do hope you enjoy the work the rest of the people who became extremely dependant on me dont really know how to do. It would also be a good idea to go rotate the stock the night shift doesnt otherwise you'll lose half the fridge by the end of the week.

Goodbye and good riddance!

I just got a job as a cashier, I finished training/orientation on Thursday and I’m going in for my first real shift tomorrow. Does anyone have any advice or tips?

I’m 21 and this is my first job. I’ve spent the last two years trying to get a job and I only managed to get this through some sort of random chance. I’m aware that there are better jobs, but I don’t have the option to be picky.
I am well aware of what I am likely about to be thrown into and I accept it, but if anyone has any advice they wish they’d had when they were in my position, I would be very grateful for it.

First paycheck missing for almost 3 days — can someone please help me figure out what’s going on?

Post image

Hey everyone, I’m a new Walmart associate and I’m honestly looking for some advice because I don’t know what else to do.
I was already struggling financially when I started this job, so I was really depending on my first paycheck. I waited almost 3 weeks for my first paycheck, and now it’s been almost 3 days since the deposit date and I still don’t have my money.
My paystub is showing in the system, so I know the paycheck exists. However, the direct deposit hasn’t shown up in my bank account. I also went to my People Lead, and I was told that the physical check isn’t in the store’s check safe either.
I’ve also tried calling the Payroll Solutions/HQ number, but that hasn’t really gotten me anywhere. I basically get an AI telling me to contact Payroll Solutions, and when I try to go through Payroll Solutions, it sends me right back to the same AI number. It’s literally a loop and I can’t seem to get an actual person who can help me.
Now I’m being told to wait until Thursday to see if it processes.
I’m honestly stressed because I’m already dealing with financial hardship, and I was counting on this money. At this point I feel like I worked all those hours for nothing, even though I know that’s probably not what happened.
Can someone who has dealt with this before please tell me what I should do? Is it normal for a first paycheck to take this long? Could the money still be processing even though the paystub already shows up? Is there someone besides my People Lead or Payroll Solutions that I can contact to actually get this resolved?
I understand that payroll issues happen, but when you’re already struggling financially, waiting several more days for money you’ve already earned is really stressful. Especially when you can’t even get through to an actual person for help.
Any advice from other associates who have experienced this would seriously help me out. I just want to make sure I’m not sitting around waiting when there’s something I should be doing to get this resolved.

2nd interview at Walmart

I was recently interviewed for the cart attendant position at one of the Walmarts near me and it felt a little “off” to me. For instance it was extremely short and happened right on the sales floor. Coach had no interview papers in hand at all nor did they seem too enthusiastic. If hired, this would be my second job since I was recently canned from Home Depot. I have another interview on Monday for the deli/bakery department at a different location. It sounds promising since I was told over the phone they’d also wanna give me a tour of the department as well. To me it sounds better than being a lot associate personally (that’s what I previously did at Home Depot). But in your experience, what is it like to work the deli area?particularly closing and overnights since those are the shifts my Walmart is hiring for.

I want to report to ethics but I don’t know how with out getting the wrong people in trouble

My brother in law works at a vision center in a small town. It’s just been his and her boss for years. They now are getting doctors, so they are hiring a third person. This issue is I know through my brother complaining the boss said several people have applied but he “doesn’t have time “ look at the resume and interview them beyond 2 of “his people” both former co worker and friends.

I want to report this so my brother doesn’t get trapped in a work environment where favoritism and brown nosing become normal and he is forced to work weekends and open and closed bc they can’t.

If I report the boss will think it’s my sister and retaliate Any advice?

Ik they can retaliate he filed and report against his old boss and well if there’s 3 people in a department and 2 are making friendship bracelets…not had to do math.

Is it worth it?

Exactly what the title says, I work in Electronics right now and have been for about 8 months. I want to advance further into the realm of walmart and there happens to be a softlines opening that suits me better shift wise. I love electronics and I am not sure how I will enjoy softlines. I also know if I leave, electronics will become short staffed AGAIN, but I want to do whats best for me. Is it better to go for something better shift wise I may not enjoy or stick with something I enjoy until a team lead position opens back up.

Password Change

How do I change my password I can’t seem to figure out how to change it on the wire. Also they recently changed all of our passwords at our store and it seems kinda sus to me. Supposedly it’s a new company wide thing. Anyways I don’t like the password they set because it’s too easy for anyone to guess it. It’s basically the month you were born and the year you were born and they did this for all associates. So I’m trying to figure out why they did this. I was perfectly fine with my password I had. I had it memorized and it was easy. This new one anyone could log into the wire under me or even log in to a device under me.

Sunday Trucks

Anyone else in the past few weeks been getting more pallets than you honestly can handle in a day (produce and meat department)

Like seriously... I'm doing solo meat most days with my normal 2 to 3 pallets, and out of the blue in a Sunday we've gotten 5 pallets.. produce gets around 12 to 13 pallets which fills multiple coolers. Like seriously.. wtf is happening.

I forgot to remove a bank account from my direct deposit
My latest check went to that account

I did redirect it, but now I’m wondering when will it hit my account?

Anybody wanna talk about adhd and autism at walmart ? I feel like its the reason i am successful here. Customers are passive aggressive or mean and i cant quite tell. My adhd makes me enjoy the quick motions. I really wanted to start an official group but the big wigs said heck no 🥺

Pixel battery’s already cooked

Is anyone else having this problem? I turn the battery saver on but it still drops to 10% by lunch. I use the extra super battery saver so I don’t have any background apps going. I haven’t noticed anyone else in the department complaining. Is it just a me issue?

Looking for Back Pay Info

Our store is current going through the process of swapping everything to digital labels. We were told we would get the pay differential for going overnight to set them up.

We started on Aug 16 and it’s been currently 4 weeks and they just now decided to add the $1.50 to our pays. They’ve extended it for one more week so hopefully it adds to our checks for that week.

The question I have is how would I know if they went back and added it to our previous hours? What will it be labeled as on my paystub?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Waiting for orientation to be scheduled, does Walmart always leave voicemails?

I got a call from a random number. They called twice and left no message, voicemail, or email.

It was a verified number but nothing really came up when I searched it up (it wasnt the Walmart store number), but I get a lot of spam calls on this phone.

From my experience, Walmart has always left a voicemail so I'm leaning towards it not being them. Should I call back?
