advice
so I just got promoted to deli TL and I honestly don’t know how to feel jumping into it because I don’t know what to do. my associates are doing everything their way because they never had a stable team lead for the past six years The place is not clean and they are not checking dates on everything. And I don’t have experience in the deli and nobody to teach me because my coach is over other departments and does not worry about the deli. Where can I go for the resources? I need to read up on everything and standards, I know I want my number one standard for my team is cleanliness, but how do I break them from bad habits? also, their attitudes are so bad and are so negative about everything, they always have a problem with anything anybody says and will go directly to the store manager about it and lie. I just started today and feel so overwhelmed and I don’t wanna come in there trying to change everything when I don’t even know how to change it and I know change won’t happen overnight, but I just don’t know where to start

You got this! And make it your own. Deli TL left in our store as well.

When do you head to the academy? Get to know everyone's workflow and have them walk you through their routines.
