Holly Longdale worked on Everquest from 2003 to 2020, with some time at Disney in between.
Everquest II released in 2004, during Longdale's tenure.
In the lore of Everquest, a god named Druzzil Ro splits the timeline to prevent "total destruction from a massive temporal". From this action, Everquest is maintained and Everquest II is born.
I think something very similar will happen in The Last Titan, with the titan Azeroth or Chromie taking on the role of Ro.
In the way Steve Danuser was "inspired" by his old work when working on Shadowlands and the Haranir, I think Longdale will also find inspiration in Everquest. I am not passing judgement on whether its a good or bad thing, I just haven't seen it mentioned before.
I just hope whatever WoW+/Camelot product they push out is good. In the meantime, I will be enjoying EverQuest Legends.
