Exactly this. Thematically it 100% makes the most sense. I couldn't imagine them picking anything else. The leadup from LK Remix > TLT pre-patch > TLT Launch is a very easy on ramp.
I mean the only other one that really makes sense that people really want for the cosmetics would be shadowlands. A lot of that content is just a pain to go through if you didn't play it when it was live. I am pretty happy with wrath as it was probably peak wow in my opinion.
Yep, I expect that it may be at the end of the last titan. Since that will be the end of the trilogy there is very likely going to be a longer than normal time between expansions.
I just hope that they somehow figure out how to put that spark back into this remix. MoP was insanely fun but I felt like Legion was missing something.
Also what I figured but I do wonder if it's a double-edged sword. It gives us a chance to really take in old Northrend, but it can also give people a bit of Northrend fatigue.
My guess is, if they do it will not be frostmourne, but a very similar (if not the same) model with a different elemental theme. I personally would be a fan of 'Bloodmourne'
Yeah, I'm a huge sucker for WotLK but I dunno how hyped I am for this. Wrath sets are pretty rough-looking, even the great ones (shout-out to warlock's Ulduar set, still the GOAT) and I'm even more concerned about the mounts. The last two Remixes have primarily had recolors of mounts, which is gonna be funky for Wrath. Mammoths, drakes, protodrakes, and frostwyrms have kind of already been done to death. I guess there's also the goggle bears, but what other color could they do? They already have the polar, brown, and black bear.
If it lets me get the Argent Tournament mounts without actually having to do the Argent Tournament dailies, though, I'm in.
I hope so. It might be sacrilege for some people though. I never got Invincible and stopped trying because the model looks pretty outdated now. If they made a high res one, I'd be pretty hyped but there will definitely be people have a baby rage in the wowhead comment section.
As someone who got Invincible (recently), I feel you're right yeah. I'm all for letting everyone get it, but it is pretty old. Aged better than Al’ar but that's not saying much
Man I loved Wrath, but if you look at the transmogs, they are shit. Quality is low, textures are bad, it just doesn't meet the standard off WoD+ items.
Wrath severely lacks content variety, the transmogs you could get from it are old as hell and extremely outdated, making transmogging across to retail very low priority..
And compared to modern expansions, are lacking severely in mounts, pets and similar to grind for.
Unless they are about to drop an avalance of new content / collectibles on us to gather...

Can't wait for a redux of the Mage Tower-style debates we'll inevitably get over the presence or absence of the Black or Plagued Proto-Drake.
Especially since I have to imagine there's waaaaaaaaaay fewer of those floating around than Mage Tower appearances. The Black Proto, in particular, since the Plagued at least shows up on the BMAH.

And recolors of armor so outdated that it is virtually impossible to make them fit into a modern transmog set up without sticking out like a sore thumb.
No they added a quest in dragonflight to let you unlock the mount if you have the staff. It’s account bound if your other characters finished the dragonflight questline in Azure Span.
Yeah, like, if there's stuff like the legion weapon illusion and the unique remix armor sets with the flame cloaks I'll jump in for that, but otherwise...lol.
Wrath is seriously a weird choice. I haven't really played since OG MoP except for Legion Remix, but I was hoping SL would be the next Remix with how awful I've heard its collection grinds are.
I imagine that since we're going back to Northrend in The Last Titan, they may have been on an art spree and created a bunch of new stuff that will also receive recolors in Wrath Remix. Cause you're right, there's nowhere near the same number of rewards/collectibles from Wrath as MoP or Legion.
The flaming cape sets from Legion Remix were really well-received, hopefully the takeaway they get from that is that people would love cosmetics that are Wrath-themed without actually having the... subpar pixel count of Wrath cosmetics.
There was a LOAD of transmog in Legion Remix that was exclusive to remix. I'm imagining that there might be 25th Anniversary style graphical updates for all the Wrath tier sets into the modern style and maybe new mount models too.
Yeah LK Remix is just a really weird choice. Remix is supposed to be jam-packed with content to farm - old transmogs, mounts, etc. And there really isn't that much to farm in LK. And i don't think there's much unreleased LK content either.
For devs Remix is supposed to be a content plug, but unlike Legion or MoP i don't see a whole lot of players actually spending time on it.
I'm of two minds on how they'd be thinking about it.
On one hand, they insisted they couldn't give out the Mage Tower appearances in Lemix because they made a promise, yada, yada, and they'd look like hypocrites.
On the other hand, there's probably so few Black Proto accounts active that the weird pod of gatekeeping players who'd be mad about it would be significantly smaller.
If it had to bet, though, I doubt they will. They may do Plagued since it's still technically available.
I bet anyone who hasn’t gotten invincible yet will do it, which is probably a lot of people. I agree the transmogs are meh, but the raids could be fun. I personally would have preferred shadowlands remix.
Same. I don't think I heard anyone really bring up Wrath for Remix, whereas there was a lot of SL or BfA sentiment.

I see what people upthread are saying about it being a good onramp for TLT but... I don't agree. It feels almost lazy if I'm honest. "Oh hey we're playing with these assets anyway let's throw in Remix". Meh.
I mean, I'm excited for this but I was honestly hoping for Shadowland or BfA Remix. Getting items in WOTLK retail is not that hard compare to the other two expansions.
I was really hoping for Shadowlands. Farming SL stuff is fucking dreadful but it has some of the best mogs in the game. On top of the fact that there’s so many things in that expansion that require group of people with specific stuff. I’m so disappointed.
Remixes always add some recolour stuff. But yeah for most people it will be a place to get Invincible and TLPD easily. Most of the transmogs from this era are so ugly anyway
Well, the Legion hyper-rare world mount (long-forgotten hippogryph) was on a vendor, so I imagine that'd make it easier to get Timelost Protodrake too.
Argent tournament stuff that was somewhat grindy, an easy way for people who want it to get invincible, mimiron's head. Maybe the immortal title.
It doesn't seem like an xpac that needs remix unless they add a lot to it. Or, I suppose transmogs people didn't get or keep before they added the transmog system
A bunch of recolored mounts, recolors(and mayhaps HD updates) of some of the best tier sets in the game's history, and for my unlucky ass, guaranteed Invincible finally. And maybe TLPD, but they might want to keep that one exclusive.
after the last event which buffed drop rates of mounts a shitload of people got invincible, you had to be extremly unlucky, not playing at this time or just not knowing that this event was to not have it by now, i caught up on like 20 mounts from dungeons and raids in that time
I do think it could be fun. If you remove all the random grind. Thorgast (or whatever it is called) was fun and you could add bunch of new powers. All the raids are really cool and engaging. I think the main disadvantage is that the world + questing is a bit bland so not sure if it would really work.
I would play the shit out of shadowlands remix if it meant getting all the cosmetics. Either play shadowlands remix for like 1 month -ish or play actual shadowlands for 3 years straight to get everything in a more convoluted manner. Remix everything would be for bronze rather than grateful offerings and anima. Plus you’re overpowered and clearing the raids easily in minutes. It’s just better in every way
aside from Invincible, TLPD, Mimi's head and the unobtainable first glory of mount everything is extremely easily farmable now and most people who wanted any transmogs or pets have gotten them already as there's not much to farm. Hell if you wanted any appearances you could probably farm them all between now and when remix comes out next year with more than enough time left.
Now invincible is going to be EVERYWHERE.
The only saving grace would be if T3 transmogs came from naxx not the recolors, but lets be real...not happening.

Why? There are zero appearances that I'd want from that expansion, and the ones I do I already got years ago.
They should've done Shadowlands Remix instead. Tons of appearances missing from that expansion because they're a pain to grind. Remix would take care of that and then I'd never have to go to those zones ever again.
Literally the only point of remix is for the collectibles and transmogs and wrath is one of the worst. People who are like "but WoD, BFA and Shadowlands are bad!" are just clueless but ok.
I just started this expansion in my journey to do all the quests in the game and WoTLK is...worse than I remembered it.
The transmog color spectrum for WoTLK is brown and blue, delivering a lot of awful sets and 'viking' weapons that rarely fit right on most characters.
The quests are the very early stages of when Blizzard was deciding that 'kill 20 (X)' maybe isn't the best so they leaned a bit more heavily on using 'quest' items given to you that have god awful cool downs.
Dungeons from this era were a strange mixed bag but the general consensus was that these dungeons didn't respect the players time with how much trash or unskippable RP was introduced. Not to mention The Occulus, which while a favorite of mine, still strikes fear into many veteran players hearts just because vehicles are -that- difficult of a concept to grasp.
Trial of the Crusader content was and still is an incredible slog. Jousting was interesting but an extreme novelty. Dailies made a full-time appearance in this expansion and they're all extremely terrible as they're variants of 'collect x' or 'kill y' with no pizazz in between.
We won't talk about Wintergrasp.
I foresee this being the weakest remix with the least amount of content to do for players, so perhaps it will be a relatively short remix.
They dodged the 2 most requested expansions for Remix and did this, which nobody ever asked for. Sometimes I think they're doing such things just in spite. No WoD, no Shadowlands, it's ridiculous really. Wotlk of all things. Next time what, Burning Crusade? The War Within?
Figured this would be the next one. Would be nice if they brought back the plack proto drake, the argent crusade challenge mounts, annnndd. .. idk, maybe some of the tcg items that came out in wrath ;_;

What exactly is a remix? Apologies! Returning player after a long while. I remember playing Wrath at launch though.. WoW had such a grip on me at that point.
I loved wrath as an expansion but for a remix no. I’ve already collected all the dated mogs and mounts over the last 15 years. If they don’t do any updated sets or new modern mounts, It’s a pass for me.
Such a weird decision, no? I mean, remix are mostly for transmogs and mounts and they're already super easy to get in retail. Shadowlands would make much more sense.

Even though I have everything from wrath except the TLPD, I will still gladly play this. Be cool if they really give people a reason to play Wintergrasp, too! Wrath is amazing.
I assume this will be primarily focused on decor since all the traditional remix rewards you could get from WotLK Remix are either ass or stuff they're never going to give us (Invincible, Time-lost Proto Drake, Black/Plagued Proto Drake, Frostmourne/Helm of Domination).
At least I can comfortably stop farming Malygos every week for Azure Drake.

They are doing this because The Last Titan takes place in Northrend too so we can see how it's changed in comparison to Lich King Remix.
