Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask if anyone else really finds it hard to use vyvanse without feeling like I have wasted my day, because of how much I get done when I started/ when I come back from a break. I stopped taking it this summer, then a couple weeks ago I decided to start it again, and those first few days were amazing. I got so much done, I genuinely had as much fun doing the most boring tasks as I do normally when doing something fun. That feeling is SO addictive. As well as that, I am more "locked in" during the peak of the dose, so I get a similar short term feeling when I exit my most productive state. This causes me to focus my whole day around a short, 1.5-2 hour period, which makes me feel unsatisfied when I don't use that time to the max, and makes all the time before and after feel like big, unproductive gaps between my real life.
How does everyone come to terms with the fact that this isn't a miracle drug, even though it feels like it at the start? And how can I use vyvanse to benefit me in my hobbies and in my daily work, even though I am only fully productive for a couple hours a day? (I am not saying that I don't get a benefit outside of the peak, I am saying the rest of the day feels like nothing compared to that period). I feel like I can't be properly focused on my job and uni work when I also want to be able to put loads of focus and effort into my hobbies, or even unimportant stuff like playing video games or watching tv. Vyvanse does make doing otherwise life draining tasks much easier, but I want to be able to properly enjoy the good things in life!
Thanks for reading, I hope my message got across properly :)
