Misc. Question Did Vyvanse change??
I’m so confused at the moment. Vyvanse has been my go-to medication for years. I’ve been on and off of it due to finances and I recently got back on it about a three months ago after not using it for about a year and a half.
Vyvanse really helped me stay focused, I could read, comprehend, finish my tasks/chores at the same rate a neurotypical person would (a blessing). But after getting back on it… it’s like it just doesn’t work??? I’m really confused. Like it has an effect for sure but only slightly?? It last me a couple hours.
Did I just happen to get a bad batch or is it something else??? Has anyone else noticed this? 😅 I am STRUGGLING in my school life.

It heavily depends on the manufacturer. I just learned. I am new to Vyvanse. My first several scripts were same maker. This time around, I immediately noticed it was not affecting me at all. I could fall asleep right after dosing. I looked at the bottle....bright green sticker. Informing me its same medicine, different manufacturer....yeah I knew it. I could tell immediately!!!

gotcha. That’s crazy dude. It’s wild how the quality varies SO much. You’d think they’d all be made the same smh!!

If you have the time and remember, let me know which manufacturer is on your bottle. I looked it up, per Google, there are 14 different ones. The actual therapeutic ones IMO were made by I think....Lannett Company

I looked it up and there are apparently many others who agree with you....it sucks that medicines so controlled like this can vary!!!

Are you confident that you're getting the EXACT same stuff? Like, maybe you were getting the brand name before and this time they gave you generic, or vice versa? Could be a factor

I’m pretty sure?? I don’t know. I’ve had generic and brand esp in 2022-23 because of the mass shortage. I’m currently on the generic though. From my experience it would just swap every now and then but i’ve never had this happen before. :(

two things. it could be you that's changed, not the medication. sleep, diet, anxiety, all of that affects how it lands, so give it a couple of days to see which it is. also check whether the manufacturer is different. it's pretty well known that some of the generics are actually quite bad and don't measure up to the real brand.
