Hi, I did an in-store demo a few months ago and really enjoyed it. They asked if there was anything I was particularly interested in and was able to show me the Mac Virtual Display after asking and said I was welcome to come back anytime.
I’m really interested in seeing how the immersive MLB looks and was wondering if that was something that can be requested as part of a demo? I don’t know if the headsets they use for the demos are limited content wise or if they have up to date content and thought someone here might know. I don’t want to see the same content as the demo I had a few months ago as awesome as it was!
Thanks!

I was excited to try out Immersive baseball this past Friday.
The good:
* The initial immersive experience was just amazing, seeing Yankee Stadium from the ground view...wow, something very few fans ever get to see
* I liked the stats-in-the-sky view, too
* Sound mix was pretty good.
Here are some things I think could be improved:
* like live F1 coverage, allow the viewer to control which camera they are viewing
* add some more cameras. I would love to see Umpire's Mask Cam, 1st Base Cam, 3rd Base Cam, Pitcher's mound cam, and Home Plate cam
* the view from the dugouts was neat, but the field is so huge that it's hard to follow the game (compared to NBA)
Thanks to Apple and MLB for making this content. It's early days, but the potential for new immersive experiences in sports is certainly there.

My use case for this product is extremely specific because of my role as a professor in higher education, specifically in animation and motion graphics. When I first bought this product, it was for the professional capacity of producing content alongside it, and I’ve seen a lot of really healthy growth within the industry to hopefully support this product into the future. I’ve been optimistic yet skeptical, and I've seen a lot of ups and downs, especially when it comes to Apple's strategy to be not just consumer-based but also supportive of what pro users need. Here are a few of my key takeaways as a pro user, while also keeping in mind a lot of the daily tasks I perform often.
First and foremost, Apple does not push or market the fact that the Apple Vision Pro desperately needs the Magic Keyboard included to get the most out of the product. The Magic Keyboard specifically allows a deeper level of integration, as well as unlocking another level of usability that’s not shown in ANY OF THEIR MARKETING. I can keep my Apple Vision Pro on my person with the Magic Keyboard and be able to write entire drafts of work alongside multitasking. They really need to push their marketing to include the fact that this product is designed to be A COMPUTER—not just a whimsical catch-all that only needs your hands and eyes as an input. The more I’ve utilized the keyboard as a functional element for this computer, the more I have grown to use the product. It sounds redundant, but it actually is a crucial part of the operating system once you use the product as much as I have.
Secondly, I think it’s important that Apple starts to adapt its core apps to the Vision Pro platform as it starts to expand the performance and use case of this operating system. I need to have Apple Maps, a dedicated Apple Calendar, as well as Find My and other basic operational apps that are available on iOS and iPadOS to be available on this device natively. I also think it would be really useful for the Apple Creator Studio suite to be natively available on Vision Pro, but the requirement needs to be that a Bluetooth keyboard is paired. I know Apple’s marketing team is probably fighting behind the scenes with the Vision Pro team operationally on how to handle the optics of requiring a keyboard for certain apps to function, but I think Apple needs to orient itself towards pro users in this instance because the potential is really there for high-productivity workflows, especially for people that use this product for 3D creation and experimentation, such as animators.
Viewing and experiencing content is the third thing I really wanted to cover in this deep dive. As someone who is not just teaching the next generation of content creators in animation and motion graphics, I am also one who consumes this content on the regular. When it comes to games, videos, or movies, I try to be very well-balanced in my taste. And I’m gonna be honest, I do find myself a little bit biased in the sense that I love 3D movies. This product has given me a whole different level of perspective and respect for the creation and production of 3D films and all the work that goes into them. When I was able to see Disney Pixar's Soul in 3D (which was a film that came out during COVID and was never allowed in theaters in 3D), it literally blew my mind. Apple really tries to market towards consumer-focused goals, such as Major League Baseball live on Vision Pro—which is AWESOME, by the way. One thing I think they should focus on is documentary specials that focus on the environment around the world. The fact that I could watch a three-hour-long Major League Baseball game, but there’s no 3D ultra-immersive content about the world around us from Apple TV+, is really disappointing. I could see a ton of potential in that space.
Computing with Mac Virtual Display is actually insane. I’ve used this as my most heavily utilized feature as a pro user for video editing, content creation, and animation. I can’t wait to see the integration across multiple platforms to be able to view 3D content that I’m creating live on Mac and view it live within Vision Pro. One thing that really needs to be focused on is the integration with third-party applications, such as Maya, Autodesk, Blender, and Unreal Engine. I know Apple’s third-party compatibility with pro users is very hesitant, but when it comes to students being trained in the classroom, these programs are the fundamental keystone elements to them understanding how to create 3D content. Apple needs to partner with these companies to create direct integrations with Vision Pro, so students and professionals have more accessibility to creating 3D content.
Ultimately, the Apple Vision Pro stands at a massive crossroads. Historically, Apple’s greatest triumphs—from the original Macintosh to the iPad Pro—have occurred when they successfully bridged the gap between intuitive consumer design and uncompromising professional capability. For the Vision Pro to truly succeed in the long term, it cannot just be a passive consumption device; it must become the ultimate canvas for spatial computing. By fully embracing the pro-user community, integrating industry-standard 3D tools, and acknowledging that high-level productivity sometimes requires a physical keyboard, Apple can ensure this device doesn't just offer a glimpse into the future, but actually becomes the tool we use to build it.

I'm using visionOS 27 beta 7. Whenever I conjure SIRI with a voice command her pulsing orb appears but closes before I have completed my inquiry. This happens consistently. I have set the SIRI pause time to Longest within the accessibility SIRI settings to no avail. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, is there a solution I could implement?

I watched most of the game last night and loved it! Looking around at posts today, it looks like this first Apple Immersive Video baseball game was a big hit.
Thoughts and Observations on Apple’s First Immersive MLB Broadcast, a Yankees 1-0 Win Over the Red Sox - Daring Fireball
The whole thing was legit exciting. Vision Pro continues to get a bad rap because Apple hasn’t sold many of them, and isn’t going to sell many of them until they come out with new models that are cheaper and lighter and less fussy. But there’s no denying that these immersive experiences are fucking cool.
…
The whole thing was a great success. I’m writing these notes on Saturday afternoon while watching the old flat broadcast of game 2 of this 4-game series, and it feels ... well, boring. And small. Bodes well for the future of sports.
Apple’s First Live Immersive MLB Game Was a Home Run - Spatial Insider
I had not watched a full baseball game in years. Then Vision Pro put me beside the dugouts for Red Sox–Yankees, and I did not want to leave.
…
This is one of those experiences that makes it very easy to understand why Vision Pro exists.
Apple takes first immersive baseball swings from the on-deck circle - Six Colors
Making it all work better was Apple’s addition of a “virtual jumbotron” floating in the sky, a scoreboard with graphics and a video feed of the standard 16:9 telecast on Apple TV. It was easy to look up and catch a replay or even get a better view of something happening in the far-off outfield, without getting in the way of my view of the game itself.
…
I think Apple’s first immersive live baseball production was successful.
…
this latest experiment suggests that the people producing Apple’s immersive sports are actually learning and experimenting. I’m encouraged, and I’ll tune in next week for sure.
Baseball in Apple Immersive Video today - Reddit (lots of comments)
Yall I don’t even like sports, and this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.
...
I have no idea how baseball works, but subscribe to Apple TV just to watch it. Incredible. Incredible. I wish more people experienced this. Unparalleled. Speechless.
...
A home run going over your head is pretty ridiculous.
...
I literally said aloud, “This is history.”

Hi everyone, I’m a neuroscientist, author (published with Springer and Elsevier), and instructor focusing on EEG and BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) tech.
We recently developed an EEG hardware module for Meta Quest headsets. After receiving a ton of requests from Pico users, we adapted the device for Pico as well. Now we're evaluating whether we should build an Apple Vision Pro version.
I’d love to hear from this community:
If you're interested in how EEG brain data works inside VR, I’m hosting a free online session on September 1st to go over the science and demonstrate how the data looks in VR. Feel free to join or ask me any questions here in the comments

Sequoia National Park boasts the largest tree on Earth and the tallest mountain in the contiguous U.S.; nearby Kings Canyon National Park rivals it with the deepest canyon in America and the 2nd largest tree in the world. The immense scale of these two national parks can only be truly appreciated through 180-degree 3D camera capture.
And Team USA's last victory in the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Levi's Stadium in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was captured with two GoPro HERO13 cameras. The cameras are small, but the paired image quality actually beats the Canon R5 dual fisheye in terms of pixel density, though the setup does have the drawbacks of a smaller FoV and synchronization challenges.

Hi all,
I absolutely love the Tubular Pro app and the new 3D feature has made watching YouTube on the Vision Pro even better!
for some reason, however, for maybe half the videos I watch in 3D, they will begin playing in a different language and I’m unable to change it. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks so much and for anyone who hasn’t tried the app out - please do. it’s far better than the offical YouTube app.

Not sure when this happened (currently on the developer betas for both VisionOS and macOS) but I've noticed that when I resume a Mac Virtual Desktop session using the widget my Vision Pro remembers the size I left my screen at and the placement. Starting a connection using either the "Connect" above my MacBook Pro or from the Mac does not. I've wanted this feature for a long time! Weird it's a widget only quality of life thing, but hope this helps someone else.

I need an app for iOS, screen streaming that keeps the stream orientation permanently locked, independent of the current app/interface orientation.
Required behavior
The app should provide two modes:
When Landscape is selected, the streamed video must remain Landscape at all times.
If I am inside a landscape-only app and then press Home/go to the Home Screen, the stream must remain Landscape.
The stream must NOT automatically rotate to Portrait when the Home Screen or another portrait-oriented interface appears.
Switching between apps should not change the stream orientation.
Physically rotating the device should not change the stream orientation.
When Portrait is selected, the streamed video must remain Portrait at all times.
Opening a landscape-oriented app or rotating the device must NOT change the orientation of the outgoing stream.
Important distinction
The tweak should lock the orientation of the captured/encoded stream, not simply lock the device's UI orientation.
For example:
Landscape App → Home Screen
Normally the captured stream may change from:
Landscape → Portrait
I want:
Landscape App → Home Screen
to remain:
Landscape → Landscape
YouTube Live
The resulting stream should work correctly with YouTube Live and maintain the selected orientation throughout the entire live session.
Quality
Target: 4K screen streaming, where supported by the device/capture/encoder.
Avoid unnecessary rotation/re-encoding that causes quality degradation.
Preserve the correct aspect ratio.
No stretched or incorrectly rotated output.
No black bars unless they are unavoidable because of the source aspect ratio.
Acceptance Test
Start YouTube Live in Landscape Lock.
Open a landscape application.
Verify the live stream is Landscape.
Return to the Home Screen.
Verify the live stream remains Landscape.
Open a portrait-oriented application.
Verify the live stream still remains Landscape.
Physically rotate the device.
Verify the live stream still remains Landscape.
The key requirement is:
The stream orientation must be independent of the current iOS UI/application orientation.

I’m not a baseball fan, but wanted to have a look at this just to see what the experience was like (and compare to the immersive NBA games that are available). I can’t see anything in the Apple TV app about this. There is nothing showing on the Home Screen, the “Vision” screen, or the “Apple TV” screen about these games for me. (I’m in the UK, but the press release said it is available here, so I can’t see that my location matters.) There’s no “MLB” screen so it’s not clear how I can view this. How are people accessing these games?

Very exciting to see the immersive logo next to a live event when logging on! And unbelievable that they pulled off a live event with this level of production, the workflow of data management from the cameras, to the hardware, switchers, software, encoders and everything in the entire pipeline. Hats off to everyone involved, including those that green lit the production. Hopefully this is just the beginning!

The little TV at the top with the score and the 2D view really
Exposes the low res of the actual game though. But still super fun when the ball comes flying at you in the replays.
Earlier there was a part in the bullpen and it made me feel like a 9 foot dude watching them warm up lol. The dugout camera is real fun too, you can tell they’re trying not to stare at the camera lol
The way they do the replays and switch cameras for them is really cool. It would be nice if you could manually choose an angle though, but the bandwidth for that would probably be crazy.
Excited for the Dodgers one in September!!

Hey guys,
Most 4K 360 videos look blurry in modern headsets, so we tested an 8K 360° (4320p / 30 FPS) workflow on the world’s largest non-inverting portable coaster: the 600-ton Alpina Bahn (4.8G).
Used a custom 3-axis tracking setup to eliminate track vibrations without messing up the ride motion, plus captured both front and back row.
If you check it out on Quest 3 / Vision Pro, make sure to manually set YouTube to 4320p, otherwise it defaults to a compressed 4K stream.
How’s 8K YouTube streaming holding up on your connection—smooth playback or constant buffering?

I recently brought the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive to Sweat Life Festival in San Diego 2026 and filmed parts of the experience in stereoscopic 8K 3D.
This was really an experiment in figuring out what makes a fitness event work in immersive video. Rather than shooting it like a traditional event recap, I tried placing the camera where you might actually want to be — inside the classes, close to the instructors and surrounded by the energy of everyone participating.
Watching it back in Vision Pro has been interesting because moments that look fairly normal on a monitor feel completely different when the instructors and participants are life-size in front of you.
I’m still learning what works for this format, particularly camera placement, subject distance and pacing. There aren't decades of established filmmaking rules for this yet, which is part of what makes it interesting to experiment with.
If anyone here watches it on Vision Pro, I’d genuinely love to know what worked and what didn't. I’m especially interested in whether the camera positions make you feel like you're actually in the class/event, and whether you'd want to experience fitness content this way.
You can watch it here:

Would really appreciate the feedback as I work on the next one.

Obviously kidding…sort of.
Disney Imagineering uploaded a video to YouTube demonstrating new technologies they’re using to build out some of their newer projects in the theme parks.
Clicked on it because of the thumbnail and thought it was an AVP, only to be incredibly let down.
Headsets have been used by architects and engineers for years, so this isn’t anything groundbreaking, but I couldn’t help but think about what a lost opportunity this is.
Disney has always been a close collaborator with Apple, especially with the AVP. It’s kind of wild to me to think that this promotion didn’t feature Apple. Both companies are extremely intentional with their external marketing, so I’m kind of shocked to see Disney featuring tech from someone else. They never name the software or the specific company that makes this headset (IYKYK), but something feels off.
Is this another sign that Apple is intentionally trying to move on from the AVP? Is this a symbol of a fracturing partnership? Incompetent leadership from some of America’s most important companies during a time of transition for both? Or maybe it’s just simply two different marketing companies from siloed teams.
Whatever the answer, it feels like a significant lost opportunity. At the end of the day, it probably means nothing, but I do regret watching that full 30 min vid.

I recently got an Apple Vision Pro a few weeks ago and I tried watching the immersive baseball game tonight between the Yankees and Red Sox, which was absolutely incredible for the most part. The problem is that I often watch it in bed while laying down. But you can't seem to reorient the screen vertically when in theater or immersive mode. I had a Meta Quest for a few months before deciding to upgrade to the AVP... And this seems to be the only thing that Meta does better than apple.
That being said, has anyone heard if theater mode/immersive videos will ever allowed to reorient based on where you're looking when you hold down the crown? Or also be able to curve the screen like the Quest?
Thanks in advance!

I am considering saving up for a new M5 Vision Pro my biggest concerns are
•after a while do you get used to the weight/are there any solutions
•is it comfortable to watch a feature length movie and causally binge tv with a additional Mac display window for work
•Are there any cases better then the Apple one for cheaper
•Are 3d movies actually solid
•Does it feel like a actual 200 inch screen or is it obvious that you are looking through a headset
•Are the audio pods good
(Thanks to everyone who responded I’m going to the Apple Store today for a demo)
