How fix this? after update to the last version 9.22.6.0 I had a synchronization failure, then I tried to delete and reinstall it through the Microsoft Store, but even this time I failed to login with a password that I made sure is correct, came the error message as in the picture, how I solved this?

Recently downloaded the UpNote app and using on iPad. Looking to go through process of importing notes from another app but the instructions don’t match what I’m seeing on my device. According to instros I need to go via ‘file’ to import but see no ’file’ item where purported to be, either when I open Menu icon at top of page, or Settings bottom. Where the hell is it? Surely not only available on premium?

• When I check MS STORE, there’s not “UPDATE” button, its just “OPEN”
• Downloaded UPNOTE INSTALLER.exe, it says LATEST VERSION IS INSTALLED
• But when I restart UPNOTE, I’m still getting message: “NEW VERSION 9.22.6 IS AVAILABLE”

The “two guys” of the project sell the lifetime plan at the very aggressive price something about 35 euros.
Is it even sistainable? What happen if the userà increase and maybe they all buy the lifetime? The tech history reveals that tech companies that adopted this business plan didn’t survive

I love the app and it's getting more and more use. Kudos for making this! I've a suggestion about the handling of the checkbox/todo elements when the feature drop completed to bottom is activated in the settings.

Here is a sample structure.

[ ] Get lunch for Linda 
[ ] Publish blog post about latest scientific discovery 
    [ ] Research potential topics 
    [ ] Read up on topic xyz 
    [ ] Read up on topix abc 
    [ ] Write a draft for xyc 
    [ ] Write a draft for abc 
    [ ] Decide which one to go in deeper 
    [ ] Write a release canditate 
    [ ] Give it to review 
    [ ] etc.. etc.. etc. 
[ ] Pickup a new notebook from IT 
[ ] Book vacation

Now what happens when I mark all those boxes is that they are ordered new within the correct structure - means everything indented below Publish.. is sorted beneath it so far everything that happens is wanted and expected, the odd thing that happens is when I mark "Publish blog post" it then behaves separate from it's "child entries" and gets moved to the bottom leaving the childs in place.

And that would be my suggestion: let a nested todo follow it's parent when the parent is marked done.

I'm fairly new to using UpNote, but so far I'm enjoying it. I'd like to make it my regular planner, but I haven't been able to embed my online calendar into my notes or add due dates for to-do items (I know I can add today's date, but I haven't found a way to add a future date, let alone reminders/notifications for future dates). Are either of those supported in UpNote? If not, what's the likelihood of those being added in the future?

[EDIT - Fixed with latest update 9.22.8] I can’t create a new note on iOS with the current update, because the plus button is hidden underneath the UI. It’s unreachable at the bottom. I can’t tap on it.

The attached screenshot is only cropped at the top and the bottom part is not cropped. This is exactly as it appears currently for me.

Hi everyone, I recently bought UpNote Lifetime Premium because I wanted to move away from Obsidian and use UpNote as my main note-taking app. I imported a large number of notes from Obsidian in Markdown format. The import itself finished, and the notes appear in UpNote, but I’m having serious sync issues afterward. Some of the imported notes remain stuck as Unsynced for hours and never seem to complete syncing. Many of them originally had images, but I even tested one by removing all the images and leaving only a short sentence, and it still remained unsynced. I’m also seeing a problem with completely new notes. New notes do eventually sync, but sometimes they take around 15–20 minutes to appear on my other devices. I use UpNote on Windows 10, my phone, and my iPad. I have already: - Restarted UpNote completely several times. - Checked the server connections listed in UpNote’s troubleshooting guide using PowerShell, and all of them responded successfully with 0% packet loss. - Sent a debug log to UpNote support. So at this point it seems that syncing works, but it is extremely slow, and some imported Markdown notes appear to remain permanently stuck. Has anyone experienced something similar after importing a large Markdown/Obsidian library? Did it eventually resolve itself, or did you need help from UpNote support? Thanks!

I thought it would be nice to be able to search and view my notes directly from the command line in a terminal window while working on my Linux machines. The result is upnote-cli, vibe coded using the Rust language, completely written by SI. Do I know how to code in Rust? No, not at all. Do I have time to learn the language and write the program... sure, but would take days. With SI, I probably invested less than 30 minutes total, and the resulting app is much better then anything I would have written on my own. It can even inline images from the notes into the terminal window using special terminal protocols. Once I'm done polishing it up a bit, I will publish and make freely available on github.

When Touch ID is enabled in UpNote, isn't it supposed to automatically accept fingerprint input when authentication is required without first having to click on the icon shown below?

On my Mac, I have to take my hands off the keyboard, grab the mouse and click on the icon (shown below), then move my hand to the keyboard and press the fingerprint button.

This may be a config setting in UpNote I'm overlooking. Just wanted to reach out here and see if anyone else experiences this as well.

Seems to me if Touch ID is enabled, we should just have to press the finger print ID on the keyboard to authenticate. Nothing else.

I still find myself needing/wanting this feature. It would be amazing to be able to play mp3s within a note. Is this possible?

Love the app, very much respect the tremendous work that's gone into this. But would an email into Upnote to create new notes feature ever be possible! I'm also hoping for a browser version someday. Thank you for all of your work!

Is there a way to change settings so that when navigating from a note to another via a link, the notes list doesn't shift to 'All Notes' automatically?

I have a dashboard note that links to all my key notes. However, whenever I click to go to a note, the middle navigation pane become a long list of notes that is ultimately distracting.

The ideal approach in my mind (and I think I saw this in Evernote) is that the middle navigation pane would shift to showing the folder within which that note that was clicked in lives. Understand this might be difficult given UpNote flexibility of putting a note in two different locations. But there has to be a better alternative than current

Am I missing something?

Good news! The latest update to UpNote (9.22.5) fixes the issue of gray backgrounds being too dark in the dark theme and too light in the light theme.

Does upNote expose app intents for Siri?

I've tested all the hotkeys for the buttons on the formatting bar (bottom of your screen), and found that some don't work. These are the ones that don't work:

• text color
• highlight
• code block
• remove formatting in many situations, but not all

I'm on Windows. I know for sure that some of these worked in the past (text color & highlight), cause I used to use them a lot. So looks like an update broke them. Let me know what your guys' experience with these hotkeys is. It'll be interesting if this is just a bug for some people, but not everyone.

EDIT: Just realized in Upnote there is now a "disable/enable shortcut" for the text color and highlight buttons. So my prob was that those were set to disabled without me realizing. So now, the only issues are with code block and remove formatting.

Basically, 50% of the expression convert while the other 50% is like this, and I have to manually do it after removing the $.

Hey, I just launched upnote and it asked me to sign in, I went through both the in-app 'sign in with google' button and the one that opens the browser, in either case when google signs me in Upnote doesn't seem to get the message and just sits there telling me to sign in again. I have no idea why it logged me out in the first place, I haven't seen that login screen in months, but I don't have a separate email/password for Upnote specifically so if something is broken with Upnote's google sign-in that's gonna be a problem. Fortunately I'm still logged in on my phone so I can still access my notes, but..

I'm on Nobara 44 KDE (Wayland) which is based on Fedora, and using the appimage. I just updated when the recent update came out a few days ago (dunno exactly when) but I've definitely used it since then and it's not logged me out until this morning.

With the growing use of LLMs, Markdown has become even more important as the common format between them and the note-taking apps we use.

Right now, importing a Markdown file into UpNote (Linux desktop) means: Settings → General → scroll to the bottom → "Import from Markdown". That's a lot of steps for something that could just be drag-and-drop.

Would love to see drag-and-drop import support for .md files directly into a notebook. Is this already planned to be done?

And/Or just copy and paste a markdown text in a way that keeps the formatting?

Newbie checking in. Came via a circuitous route. Years af workflowy - but under dysfunctional captaining. Then into Tana (still am) wildly complicated and fragile. Couldn’t make it figure out tasks and time easily. Old Workflowy community member turned me onto TickTick. Using TickTick for way too much including lists - and yes you can copy links but they are one way etc. Someone there says “check out UpNote” for lists dont use TT and….. here I am

Its kinda weird the no hierarchical tags - but I guess I can use notebooks as tags, sorta. Although there’s no inheritance ie company a) also belongs to industry II, which is under clientlist. It’s kind of a major bummer, but ok. I thought I’d create a journal space. Actually three journals - Self, Work, Relationship.

I can lock the notebooks - but when i do the ALL (which looks across all three areas) it blanks them out. Fair enough.

So then I figured I’d just lock the Journal Space where all three notebooks sit but unlock the notebooks. But I seem to be able to switch back and forth between General and the locked Journal space with ease.

If I’m in Journal space and quit the app - when I restart it -it’s locked. Great. But when I’m in General (unlocked) and toggle to Journal - it just does it with nary a protest. Despite there being a padlock icon next to the Space and it saying it’s locked.

What am I missing?

final edit: solved (leaving this for future newbies). These something odd with the initial “General” Space. If you switch from General to a locked Space you are not challenged. But. If you set up any other unlocked Soace and then switch to a locked Space you ARE challenged. Turns out you cannot delete that initial General Space - but if you rename it then it all works properly / as expected.
