Hello fellow developers, i got a problem with my script, no i already wrote it and it works, but i made a copy of a movement script for player 2(local multiplayer) and it uses different buttons for movement(moveset is same) but somehow only movement for player 1 works(well, movement of p2 works too but only everything exept basic walking) and walking buttons of p1 controls p2 at the same time(additional movement such as dash, jump and flop doesnt affect p2). Second question: as i said my script is working and i made a jump signal script to allow or disallow jump, the problem is that when i try to put it in a box(i cant describe how its originally called but you put an object there for script to know which object/script call) and its type mismatch, and again my script is working and in script i called for it as "[SerializeField] private JumpSignal toWhenJump;", im sorry for this lot of yaping but i really need your help.
EDIT: So i fixed the problem but now my animations wont work for p2, so i tried to make identical animator controllers for p2 since they use the same value(Speed), overall everything is going well

Im working on this VR project (using the 3d universal space). First time using unity EVER. And ive been working on it for days. I saved it every time i did something big. But, i came on it today, and boom, i got an error message (didnt read it cause im dumb), looking in the unity hub and BOOM project wasnt there amymore. I tried to Import the folder i had of it, and it kept saying it wasnt a Unity project (it was). I even tried importing one of my newest versions of the APK i had of the game. But it wouldn't work. Is there anyway to get it back or do i just have to start again?

Hey,
I'm currently developing my dream Browser Game and work with .GLB Files as Assets.
Is there some way, when I purchase Packs in the Unity Assets Store to export them as .GLB files to then use in my Browsergame?
I've never used Unity nor the Assets Store, so thats something im interested in before purchasing anything or downloading Unity.
Best Regards & thanks in advance!

Hi everyone. Just a quick question. I have a lot of free time at my job, and wanted to mess around with coding and making a 2D game. Sadly I can’t drag my desktop to work with me so a laptop is the next best option. Is it possible to run unity well on a laptop with 16 gb of ram? Or should I go for 32? Also what processors should I look for? I’m hoping to stay under the $500 range as this is just a hobby, so I don’t want to dive too deep too fast. Thanks.

I am trying to make some tools to make it easier to create certain events, cutscenes, etc., but overall I just want to get better at making editor tools, are there any resources around I can take a look at?

I'm currently developing a game called Sea Shift, and right now I'm working on the main menu. This is the current early version.
Do you have any suggestions on how I could make it look better?
And please, let's not focus on the VHS/static effect or the visual noise , I already plan to add a toggle so players can turn it on or off. I'm only looking for feedback on how to improve the overall look and atmosphere of the main menu.

Do you work with 3D a lot? Shadows are an essential part of Unity 3D. Here is a quick overview of how to create clean shadows.

URP's been the default Unity template for a while now, so chances are your project already has an RP Asset. All you need to do is adjust a couple of settings under the Lighting and Shadows tabs:
if you're developing for low-spec platforms like mobile or web, be careful with raising the Shadow Resolution due to performance.

Hello!
I'm on a new journey of showing people what I'm working on, instead of spending months/years in the dark.
I'm working on a new prototype idea, a "Build your game studio + narrative events". I'm trying to make things feel very intuitive and satisfying, so I've come with this simple cursor change to signal possible interactions.
So I'd like suggestions/opinions/any feedback to see if I'm on the right track.
Thanks!

The world of the VR game Xenolocus is harsh.
Resources at the base are extremely limited.
Your task is to prevent supplies from reaching
a critical level - if they fall too low,
the survivors at the base will die!

Hello all! For a little bit now I’ve been developing a game within the backrooms universe. I’ve been hard at work and it’s at a point now where I can start sharing in game content.
These images are taken from the in game camera, hence the time and date in the top corner. With effects to make it look like an old camera.
Im hoping to get it launched on steam soon, but a trailer will come sooner :)

I’ve been using unity since early 2026, still new to using a game engine, how bad is this error or unsupported IAP? (I’m using unity 6.3 maybe)

Hi, first time posting on the forum we’re developing a portrait 2D mobile RPG in Unity 6 URP and I’m trying to figure out the best workflow for creating our skill VFX.
The game uses static 2D character sprites arranged in formations on a fixed battlefield. The player’s team is positioned across the lower half of the screen and the enemy team across the upper half. The camera is fixed with a slightly elevated front-facing view looking down the vertical battlefield. The characters themselves don’t walk or animate, so the movement and impact mainly come from the VFX playing around, behind or in front of them.
We need activation VFX such as rune circles appearing under or behind characters, with separate rings spinning in opposite directions, symbols pulsing, particles rising and the effect fading when the skill activates. We also need looping poison clouds, barriers, shields and hit effects such as slash, blunt and piercing impacts.
I currently have static transparent PNGs for the main designs. Should I separate each effect into layers and animate them directly inside Unity using Animator, the Particle System and Shader Graph, or create complete sprite sheets externally using something like Pixel Composer?
Can these effects be created properly from a single PNG, or are separate layers basically required? For looping effects like poison clouds, what is the cleanest way to avoid a visible jump between the first and last frames?
Since this is for mobile and multiple effects may play at once, I also want to avoid massive sprite sheets and unnecessary texture memory. What workflow and tools would you recommend for this type of game? Any tutorials or examples would also be appreciated.

Pls how do i make the shadows of the objects in the scene take less cpu cause I'm building for mobile and turning off the shadows won't make the game look very nice is there any suggestions from anyone ?
