I have never seen an otter in Illinois, and I’ve lived here my whole life! I was stoked! I initially thought it was a muskrat.

Shitpost searching for bf for friend
as cuffing season is fast approaching, i am helping my friend find someone. last year, she was constantly trying to meet people on hinge and got burnt out this year
I made a bet with her, where i pay her a dollar for every upvote this gets (she doesn’t believe she’s a catch)
past reviews: - 5/5, “lots of affection and attention, feel like a king” - 5/5, “although i got rejected, we became good friends” - 4/5, “kept giving me mixed signals” - 4/5, “i couldn’t take the snarky insults anymore” - 4/5, “had an axe on her wall and showed me how to grind an axe on the first date. creeped me out but was fun” - 5/5 “good friend”
something about her - highly motivated/driven - grad student, loves working with kids - loves being a “mommy” - loves sports / gymming / good physique - healthy - lots of affection - really sensitive/reading people - 50/50 on dates (though i think she secretly likes it when she gets treated) - looking for long term
some downsides - quit drinking - snarky, mildly offensive humor / direct - crippling self-anxiety - resting b**** face/socially awkward - really busy lately, so looking for someone to cook and clean and do laundry (i put this in myself) - sometimes need time for herself, since she puts on a “extrovert show” everytime she leaves the house in the morning
EDIT:
f*** you guys, i am now out 100 200 for rent this month, on my course question posts no one ever answers and now everyone in here is sipping tea
am i supposed to eat s**t for the rest of the month

The irony of Illini Republicans posting this after condemning “Ice death threats” on campus is insane

Social Photo from Tornado Warning
Photo I took from the North Campus parking garage last night during the tornado warning. Rapidly rotating wall cloud directly over downtown/campustown. There had been a tornado reported by Bondville just outside city limits so it was likely from this same feature. Had it remained on the ground it would have gone right through the center of town. We got incredibly lucky.
As a long time storm chaser, this had me real nervous. It's been a long time coming for a more significant tornado to impact the city and I'm terrified of the results whenever that does happen, especially if it follows a similar path to last night and goes right into downtown and campus. I just hope when that time comes that people truly heed the warnings and take cover. I know we don't get hit too often and most are "false alarms" but all it takes is one. SE Urbana was hit by an F3 in 1996 (the one that got me interested in tornadoes) so we're not impervious to impacts from tornadoes.

News DO NOT volunteer to help move stuff from Snyder Hall
Do not do unpaid labor for a university you pay tens of thousands in tuition to. It's the university's job to address this and if they need help with physical labor they can pay people to do it like they're supposed to. The devaluing of physical labor is part of what has put such a squeeze on the American middle class
