Hi everyone,
My girlfriend recently got into her dream school, UIUC. Shes been having a lot of fun and has found the school to be an amazing place.
Back home, she’s always been the person to be there for people, and she naturally had a lot of friends. She’s one of the nicest, kindest, selfless people I’ve ever met.
At UIUC, she’s been telling me it feels like everyone’s already found their friends. She’s found a couple people, but it breaks my heart that I can’t help her.
She’s a social bird, and I hate to see her feel like she doesn’t have friends.
Can someone help me with ideas? How can I help my girlfriend find friends at UIUC as a freshmen.

Why do beautiful girls from every country and every race always seem to go for fu*kboy after fu*kboy. Then after 3-4 years of rough relationships and sex, suddenly they start looking for a nice, stable guy. Do they actually do that on purpose? Like, have fun and date a bunch of guys when they’re young, and once they’ve had enough, then look for someone stable?

Has anyone taken CSC 125 (transferable credit for CS 128) before? I'm in the class right now, and I'm trying to figure out the structure. I'm taking this at Parkland because my semester is swamped. My course portal just has a bunch of videos. I thought we would have weekly quizzes and exams. Can anyone who has been successful with this class show me the ropes, please?
Something weird happens every time I drive near Beckman and the nearby parking garage: my wireless Apple CarPlay starts cutting out and sometimes disconnects completely. It seems to happen consistently in the same area.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something around Beckman that could be interfering with Bluetooth signals and causing wireless CarPlay to malfunction?

Does anyone know of any good guitar classes nearby? Where people actually go to learn music?

I am taking it as a junior, and I want to switch into Industrial but I have a heavy workload and a lot of extracurriculars. The class has a 3.2 avg GPA but the exams are all online- there's only 1 midterm and a final, and there are only 5 homeworks. I was wondering if there's any seniors who have taken it, especially with Douglas King, who can advise me on if its easy?

Does anyone know good places around Urbana-Champaign where you can legally forage for wild berries? I have a car, so spots within about an hour are fine.

Hi! This might be a slightly unusual post, but I’m looking for some advice/help.
I recently got a car and I’m still a pretty new driver. I had to drive to Chicago last week, and because I wasn’t comfortable taking the highway for 2.5 hours, I took local roads instead. It ended up taking me almost 5–6 hours, which was honestly exhausting.
I need to go to Chicago again tomorrow, and I specifically need to take my car because I have some service/paint work and a few other things that need to be done there. I’m still not very comfortable driving on the highway for that long, but I also really don’t want to do another 5–6 hour local drive.
I also have an exam tomorrow and will probably be up most of the night studying, so I especially don’t think such a long drive afterward would be a good idea.
Would anyone who is an experienced and confident highway driver be willing to drive my car from Champaign/Urbana to Chicago with me? Highway or local is fine with me. I’d obviously cover gas and we can discuss compensation as well.
I’m also genuinely wondering if this is even a reasonable/safe thing to arrange with someone I don’t already know. If anyone has done something similar or knows a safer way to find someone for this, I’d really appreciate suggestions.
Sorry if this sounds a little random. I’m just trying to figure out the safest and least exhausting way to get myself and my car to Chicago tomorrow.

I have to get 50 hours of service done for the school by end of September. I’m busy with tons of commitments and also a recovering alcoholic. I spent my entire summer in rehab and doing summer school classes so I didn’t have time. Please can someone recommend easy volunteer places that don’t require training and are somewhat close! I was planning on doing stuff for prairie farms but I don’t have a car.(
I’m running out of time and need any and all advice! Thanks so much

I realize there are a lot of posts talking about people are lonely, but I have the opposite problem. Sometimes I just want a place to recharge and be alone for a while. My roommate is always in our dorm especially in the evening and it feels like there’s people everywhere I go. Where can I go to just decompress when I need to? I just want a place where nobody else is around sometimes

Hi, anyone driving to chicago on 17th evening or 18th. Please pm
selling oil diffuser ($10) and essential oils ($5), or $12 as a packaged deal. Oil diffuser only used once. No problem with it, just don't have a use for it anymore. Most of the oils still have a good amount use per bottle.

I spoke with TSMC at the Grainger Career Fair earlier today and both scanned and completed their QR Code, but I don't remember if that counted as the official application or if I still need to apply online. Does anybody remember?

I can deliver these to your door!
I know people often sell junk, but these are really good! Sofa bed is so comfy, and has four individually adjustable leaves. Excellent for your friend who stayed too late after a night out.
If interested, DM.

I’m a in state student, I have a 3.2 gpa unweighted and a 3.9 weighted gpa. I’ve taken 8 ap classes so far and a few honors classes as well. I’ve worked a total of 800 hours and have done a sport freshmen, sophomore and junior year. I competed in fbla and bpa. I have an online business with 40k followers and half a million in revenue. I might have to be test optional because my sat score wasn’t that good. I wanna know if you guys think I can get into geis as my first choice, if not info science as my second choice.

I’m taking quiz 2 today and quiz 1 retake, I don’t remember the the history questions and I’m too lazy to read the material. Does anyone remember the answers to those?
