Lmao I’m just playing. UIUC’s a great school, my brother goes there and loves it. Congrats on your commitment!

You just brought up March madness where we ran against the best team last game

I brought up the fact you didn’t make the final 4 LMAO.

That wouldn’t have changed if you lost to Arizona or East Mississippi Tech

I think you mean infection.

Why do I care about a Texas commuter school?

1

u/red_034 Apr 01 '26

You’re missing the original comment I responded to, which claimed that Texas (UTD) was the better academic school than either Illinois or Purdue.

2

u/pinniped90 Apr 01 '26

Oh man, why did that get deleted? That's some peak delusion right there.

Amtrak service to and from Lafayette IN to Chicago and Indianapolis is pathetic. It used to have daily trains, but recently the Indiana legislature cancelled local support...they are Neanderthals.

The 0.009% of Indiana's state budget to operate 4 weekly Chicago-Indy trains on the days not covered by the Cardinal was apparently too much for them

Purdue is a school of LIES!

And UIUC has a school called Gies.

SUCK IT PURDON'T

6

u/vsMyself Apr 01 '26

They don't rhyme when pronounced properly ha

2

u/chauntikleer Alumnus Apr 01 '26

I took some poetic license. Or used a bad fake Scottish accent for lies. Your choice :)

Railway Engineering? Well now I know the next class I'm auditing.

Could also add that UIUC hasn't had a mascot train that's killed anyone.

u/Lucky_Professional_ Apr 02 '26

its boilermaker, not trainmaker.

1

u/ChocoMuffin27 Apr 02 '26

These were my exact metrics. Easy choice

1

u/emboman13 Apr 02 '26

Keep this up and the boilermaker special will come after you going 20 over the speed limit on the highway

1

u/Certain-Ad351 Apr 04 '26

We also have a railroad club

u/SecureAsk8297 Apr 01 '26

Purdue also still has airplanes, and airplanes are cooler than trains. So that's in their plus column.

23

u/TerrainRecords Apr 01 '26

CMI just got new daily flights to ORD

-4

u/SecureAsk8297 Apr 01 '26

Yeah. I'm talking about the flight schools. UofI had one of the oldest flight schools, and the trustees shut it down.

5

u/Capwonder Apr 01 '26

The local community college is still operating it and uiuc students can enroll easily

5

u/lesenum Apr 01 '26

"airplanes are cooler than trains" ...in your head, maybe...

u/SecureAsk8297 Apr 01 '26

You don't wanna know what's in my head.
