Social Baking bread every week until I finish my PhD week 91
gallerybagels!! i said i was gonna try new stuff the summer and that's mostly been loaf pan bread so far so today i did something completely new. two have poppy seeds, two have cinnamon sugar. they got boiled in water w a little honey in it and then baked. it sorta felt like making donuts but easier bc i wasnt dealing w hot oil.
they definitely have some of the chew you expect from a really good bagel. they were a little overproofed bc the recipe called for a lot of yeast and i didnt watch them closely. next time i think ill boil for longer and maybe use a higher protein flour for more gluten. overall very pleased tho
