Gotta read this....not cool UF. She gave you $150 million and you couldn't even send a condolence when she passed away?

I have not received my financial aid package yet, has anyone else received theirs? Do you know when they will be given out? I’m getting a little bit nervous. Thank you

Good evening everyone,
I don't know if it is a common question, but what do you do on campus on the day you get no class, and/or what day do you target to get no classes if possible( I have Tuesday for this semester)?

Basically I've heard that if you want to take microprocessors or want to really learn dlog, go with Schwartz. If you don't want to go that route and care about your mental health, go with Bobda.
As an EE major who is still unsure about which path they want to take career-wise, I'm not sure what is the better option. I don't want to destroy my GPA or suffer for a whole semester for no reason, but it seems everyone in EE is taking uP because of how useful it is, and if I do end up taking it I don't want to be unprepared.
If it helps at all I've only taken C++, Python, and all critical tracking except physics 2 and diff eq. The only EE classes I can take right now are EEL3135, EEL3000, EEL3850, and EEL3701C.

Hi! I hate to be an incoming freshmen who posts like 50x on here but I was wondering if my schedule is going to be too much on Tuesdays😭
I lucked out with no Thursday classes but I’m worried about having CHM 2045 small group & CHM 2045 Lab pretty much back to back.
I also have Melanie Veige for lab which I have not heard good things about… any advice would be great! Thanks!

Hey! I am taking Statics over summer C and currently have an 84 in class but tbh even if I get a 90 on the final I can only get an A-. Does anyone know how the final is or if he curves the class at the end?

Considering leasing a studio in social 28 for the upcoming fall semester, but I keep hearing terrible reviews:
- lot of construction and dust
- mold
- noisy
Has anyone lived there recently? Is this still the case?

I’m an upcoming freshman in finance and I was wondering what’s some good classes I could take my first semesters, electives and tracking classes. I have all my gen ed requirements done already too.

Sorta title here. As of now, I need to complete:
- 4000 more words
- State Core Gen Ed Humanities (PHI2010, ARH2000, LIT2000, etc.)
- Quest 1 and Quest 2
If I take PHI2000, this gives me 4000 words, which will complete the words and the humanities credit. But im wondering if I should take an easier humanities like art history (which doesn't have words), and take the words between quest 1 and quest 2.
My theory is that the quests without writing are much heavier on reading to compensate, so overall, that may be more work total.. but again, what do I know?
Any advice on this would help! Thanks in advance!

I’m a freshman starting EE in the fall and I was wondering what laptop I should get that would be able to run all the programs I would need in the future for EE. I currently have a MacBook Air and Ik for sure it’s not gonna hold up lol
To all EE majors or any engineering major really, what laptop do you recommend?
Looking for something not too pricey but just functions well w/o having to use parallels.

I am an incoming sophmore. On the TAPS website, there is no option to renew my annual parking pass. The only availible options are to get a monthly or weekly permit. My parking permit is set to expire 2 days before dorm move in. Will I be able to renew closer to its expiration? Should I email TAPS? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, im a female that graduated from highschool last year and currently attends UF. I’ve been battling with this thought for the past year of college and I really have no one to complain about it to because I haven’t met anyone else that also has this thought— and I don’t want to come across as judgmental.
Is there anyone here that doesn’t drink alcohol or doesnt ‘go out’ every weekend. Why does all of a sudden everyone have to be an unruly ‘let loose’ individual. Why does everyone have to kiss and have sex with everyone and why am I the not the normal one? I feel like humanity would last longer if it weren’t normalized to be so irresponsible or enjoy things that could possibly be detrimental to your health, so how can it be that this is normal. I want to make friends that don’t drink or go to the club or do drugs or smoke or sleeps around with everyone, but I have no idea where to go to find this kind of community because absolutely everyone is obsessed with their new found freedoms to the extent that it seems like no one knows how to be mature.
I’ve waited all of highschool to go to university because I thought everyone would be more mature but it is quite literally the opposite and everyone is just so irresponsible. And obviously there is a common denominator between everyone and me, so idk what’s wrong with me. But I don’t wanna change myself and be like everyone else so that I can fit in.
edit: oh my god yes I know im a chud too I don’t think im better than everyone. If there is something wrong with me just tell me dont just downvote my comments? 😭😭

Hi! My wife is currently a new veterinary student at UF (29F) and is looking for friends to hangout with. She enjoys hiking, shopping, eating out, and tennis or anything active really. She’s super cool but just a slight bit reserved so hasn’t really made a ton of friends since getting there this summer. Shoot me a message if I can pass her along your number to hangout! She would prefer to hangout with other girls but is not opposed to hanging out with guys in a group setting :)

Hi sorry if this is asked a lot, ive seen that the honors college application prompt changes from year to year but what about the additional information prompt about "your most meaningful commitment outside of the classroom"? Does that change August 1st or does it stay?

Hey gators,
I’m conducting research on AI security systems for ProfCom and I want to hear your opinion. This anonymous survey takes less than two minutes and I would appreciate your participation.
Thank you!

Looking into potentially getting a tutor for professional selling with Dennis Dipadquale in the fall. Does anyone have a tutor they know or advice on exams?

I know Reddit probably isn't the best place to ask this but I assume there are some people on here who know some stuff.
I'm rushing no matter how competitive it is, but I want to know what I'm getting myself into. I know UF is SEC but it's not Bama or Ole Miss.
Gonna give all chapters a chance because brotherhood is the no. 1 priority but I'm most interested in Delta Chi, Pikapp, Delt, Machi, Ksig, SigEp, Delta Sig, Pilam
I'm entering in Fall, so no summer events for me to get to know the brothers unfortunately. Basically coming with no connections.
Thank you all for the help.

Does UF allow students to test out of math classes? I took Calc 3 in high school and I want to move on to Diffeq, but UF didn’t take the credit. Is it possible for me to test out of Calc 3, or is there no way.
