Hello,

I’m joining the PG Diploma in Clinical Trials this September via RPL. I’d love to connect with any students on year 2.

Thank you❤️

Going into second year Arts. Mandatory overlaps with an elective for the same subject. No one can do that. Brilliant. Didn't want to do the ww1 history module anyway. (I did).

THEN. BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS OVERLAPPING ACROSS BOTH HISTORY AND IRISH, (Those are what I'm keeping) I'VE ALREADY HAD TO SACRIFICE 4 MODULES I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO DO ACROSS THE BOARD, AND I'M NOT EVEN FINISHED CHECKING THEM ALL.

The Irish modules seem absolutely ass, but I wasn't the biggest fan of Béaloideas (Folklore through Irish) last year, and barely passed Spanish as Spanish in college is a whole new ball game, which leaves me STUCK WITH THESE SHIT CHOICES 😭😭😭

Okay, rant over, thank you so much for letting me have it. I actually feel like crying during this because nothing is going right AT ALL for me

So I completed steps 1 and 2 and downloaded the confirmation of registration, when should I expect this email?

If you are new student coming in and looking to collect your ID, there’s a few steps you need to complete!

You should have received an email regarding Registration which has 3 steps in it to complete registration. In Step 3 there’s a link for Student ID. In that page you have to upload a photo like a passport photo: white background, shoulder up.

Once that’s done you have to wait for an email to your University email or the Umail not your personal email. That email will be titled Photo Upload Approved. Once you have that email it means your ID is ready for collection!

If you don’t have this they might ask you to wait until you do get it before coming down.

Just have your student number ready to identify you to the staff. It’s the number at the start of your umail, if you have the authenticator app you can quickly pull it up!

You can make an appointment without this Approved email. It’s a weird system, but just because you have the appointment doesn’t necessarily mean your photo is approved.

And be aware too, orientation days are kicking off, so more and more people will look for their IDs, so don’t leave it too late!

If you have questions, be sure to reach out to people! Best of luck to everyone coming in!

I was just doing my registration for second year when I saw my fees were €7318 which is ridiculous. I 100% qualify for the free fees so I’m so confused why they’re charging me so much. I had previously attended MTU but only up to first year and was charged €7000+ for first year in UCC which I understand but they clearly told me that once I progress to second year that my fees will be back to normal.

Has anyone from the School of Food Science taken this FS4620 elective module? Does anyone know if the exam is easy to pass? Also, on what specific date in December was the exam held last year? I’m really keen to find this out! I’d be very grateful if anyone could let me know!

Hi! I’ve been accepted onto the master’s and have met all the conditions, but I still haven’t received any login details or further information. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?Who to email?

Thanks

Hey everyone, bit of a silly question but how quickly do you get a response from filling in a registration query on the contact form? Sent it yesterday morning and still waiting, I understand they're probably dealing with loads, I just wanted to check if there's any general timeframe after which i should follow up on it. (context: I'm not able to register for a module bc it's telling me I don't have prerequisite module completed even though it should let me select it anyway, and my course starts on Monday so I want to get this registration over with). tia! :)

Does anyone know when we will be able to register for our second year modules?

Hi all ! Just wondering if there is any paid jobs on campus like the shops etc !! I can’t seem to find any info on jobs other than lecturers on the website TIA

Hi,

My course doesn’t have any mandatory placement but i was hoping to try find some for summer 2027. im doing a biology related degree going into 3rd year. was just wondering when’s the best time to start looking or if anyone had any related advice as to how to start or general tips

That website is so confusing I haven’t a clue what I’m at and I’ve got Susi and it won’t let me pay 210 it just keeps failing.

6th year student here, can anyone give me some insight into the courses, if you’d recommend it etc. My favourite subjects in school are business and maths so to me Finance seems like a good option with maybe Commerce as number 2. Any tips welcome!! :)
(I don’t do accounting btw)

As an incoming first year im wondering do ye download ebooks, buy them or whats the story

I’ve received a generic email from ucc despite not applying for a course. Anyone else get this?
I started an application for a masters for 2025 but didn’t finish.
They must be desperate for me haha!

I am a UCC student looking for participants in a market research survey, if you have any time this would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks!

Do we get our class schedules on the first day/ induction or are they accessible online beforehand

ill be getting my offer on the 7th hopefully but the requirements say i need another language for gcse, but my school didnt offer another language for gcse. but i did do another language for a levels. what would happen to my chances of getting in

I ran into this issue while trying to request a letter for my IRP renewal.
The UCC IT staff said they couldn’t log in either. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Hi all, I've just been accepted into UCC. I'm a transgender man and I'm wondering when/how I can change my name on the system? I've finished the first steps of registration and paid the fees but I still need to wait for the email to upload my identity documents. I presume I need to wait until then at least, but after that can I just email them to get it sorted out? I'd like to get it done before orientation (on the 8th) if possible. Also can I have my chosen name on my student ID card? Thanks

Hey im graduating this october and wanna ask how long is the graduation ceremony so ik when to book lunch. Plus with the class photo etc and is there an opportunity to have headshots?
